- This american man Darrick told my friend about Davao city, he fruit capital of the Philippines. He said about this to my another friend and he told me. Both of them haven't been to the Philippines, they just heard it from Darrick. But they told me and that's how I came to the Philippines for the first time. It was 2011. Here's my interview with Darrick. We speak about life in the Philippines. And also in this video we're eating Marang and cutting pineapples in our garden.
We are all the same in this world. Russians, American, Germans, British, French, Asians, etc. We enjoy life. We are all people. We want to explore other cultures, food and sights. The Philippines is a perfect place to experience happy people, nature and cuisines. My American friend it's totally different there. People are hospitableand friendly.
i agree 100%
Mabuhay ang mga Pilipino kasama ang mabubuting banyaga sa Pilipinas! ❤
Davao/ Samal is the right and best place for you to live because you're a fruitarian and fruits are abundant in Davao!
DAVAO IS DANGEROUS SPECIALLY THE DUTERTE FAMILIES

thank you so much my friend❤️
Yeah I just saw here video and subscribed instantly. Coz here in Cyprus I am working with Russians too. I am happy that there are few Russians living in the Philippines too
So this is how Valentina and Sergie love story started, and the rest is History! 😗
lovely to see old friends but most of all hearing your experiences and expectations about Philippines and its people
Oh now I know why there are many Russians in Samal island! Enjoy the beautiful Philippines
nice conversation with an American guy,,yes Davao has variety of fruits,,enjoy with your lovely family maam
Valentina, it is good that you set aside the seeds of MARANG FRUIT during eating. But, amazingly let the seeds of Marang fruit dried under the sun. Then, let the be fried in the pan without oil or water. Just plainly fried. During frying, you need to stir or mix always to avoid over cooked. Once, it cooked. You have to eat it. It is tasty. Similar to fried peanut. So delicious. Try it.
thank you so much, i\'ll try!
You mean just Roast the Seeds I never had Marang I want to try it, But don’t have it Here in The U.S ..
It's good to see both American and Russian talk with each other. They are not enemies as what I usually watch in the Hollywood movies. They are promoting Russian or USSR(KGB) as villains. But look at these Russians, they are such good people and they can live just like a natural Filipinos. I love Americans but I think now, I love Russians.
i think both are good - russians and americans
Many Russians are good people. The problem is their political leaders like Vladimir Putin, who created war and chaos in these modern times.
I Lived in The USA But I Like All KINDS OF WALK OF LIFE RACES….. I Don’t Dislikes ONE OF THE OTHERS….. ALL RACES ARE WELCOME TO THE PHILIPPINES 😂✌️🙏💪👍👍👍
It seems Russian and and Philippine people have certain important things in common with their history. I like to watch Natasha's Adventure to help me understand contemporary Russia and your videos are very good too.
Aloha! Thank you for loving my home country. I found your channel from Jelena Kopelic.
❤️
Pls support guys, Valentin pls like and share❤❤🎉🎉

Hi valintina im present every vlog you have im not absent
Hello my friend. Marang tastes so sweet and I love it as well the very first time I taste it from Dumaguete. In your place in Mindanao it is not that expensive but here in Luzon it's expensive to buy marang.🥰
WOW🤗 look at your husband Valentina he has no time looking around and to look at your sweet smile your husband is so much inlove of eating Marang 🤣🤣😂🥰🥰👍🏽👍🏽
I subscribed to you and to your husband. You both blog nicely. God bless your family. Enjoy living here in the Philippines ❤🙏
Wow nice vlog simple life ❤ new subscriber here ❤
Tropical fruits are abondant in Ph..but Pinoys dont know much about their benefits..but foreigners do 👍
You can eat seeds of Marang, just let the seeds dry in the sun and after it's dried you can cook it like Castanyas and peel the skin then eat it. We used tocook those Marang seeds when we used to live in Zamboanga City before we moved to Quezon City in Metro Manila.
Those small native pineapples are so sweet and you can smell them from a mile away❤
yes! thats how we found it. because it was hidden in the grass
WooW thats cool. i'm also more on vege, fruits & fish 👍👏👌
Great to hear that man made you come here... Hope you stay here in the Philippines longer. Godbless you all😊
My favorite fruit in Mindanao..marang cheapest & of course yummy delicious.
i must admit, we are friendly to foreigners much more than our Filipino kababayans😂when soc meds are infested with politics it's relaxing to see this kind of scenario❤.tnx for loving ar country though,u cant own a land.for 1 reason, foreigners can afford to buy bigger, higher prices of lands and locasl can be deprived of owning 1.
If you just plant more you harvest more that’s life in Philippines
I can only say that Valentina is really a beautiful woman with feature of a Russian Model. She is really good woman thriving to be a good wife and a mother in a foreign land/Philippines. Eventually her English is getting better and better everyday. Her sons would eventually adapt the English language with continuous training.
Thank You Valentina for sharing your family’s daily life. Wow I like your eye brows that you did tinting it. Also the seeds of the jackfruit you can plant it in your backyard. It doesn’t require lots of tending. Take care !
oh thank you so much!❤️❤️❤️
The reason why the people say Hey Joe because those american GI who are in the military this is how they called each other and then people hear it. and evrytime the pilipino see an american they'll say Hey Joe. People in the Phillipines before doesn't see much foreigners they think all of them are americans. Hey Joe was also started by the group of missionaries from Utah, US and did a very good contribution to the visayas island and mingled with all the people in their community. Thank you for sharing this Valentina. That was a good story how you came to Samal Island. I hope you had fun. Thank you for this guy from America.
The word joe is slang or informal for buddy, friend, fellow, or comrade. This also became an everyday word in some of the Northern part of Luzon where Americans were stationed. In Canada, buddy is normally used to address people you are not acquainted with in a friendly way.
I can’t wait to be back in Samal island to see how it is after 25 years. I was born in South Cotabato and now live in the USA.
oh i guess you'll see many changes!
Life is short. Traveling, Exploring , Living in other country is Education. Your kids are lucky for they experience it early in Life. 🇷🇺🇵🇭
thank you❤️
Durian is a superfood no wonder your skin is glowing and looks very tight and young
❤️
For me, marang fruit is just too sweet for me. Another thing Val, can you ask anyone in Samal if they come across a white mango variety. It is called Baluno or Bauno by the natives in Mindanao.
@ Eli ,nostalgic re Baluno at my hometown Sarangani , my childhood fav fruit , juicy and smells good when ripe...... I wonder if there are still upright standing Baluno tree🎉s nowadays this was not propagately grown .......it has become an endangered fruit tree........ during my 54 years stay in Davao, I havent seen this fruit sold in the market 😂 😂........Anybody knows where could we find buy this Baluno Fruit ????

Ma'am i suggest when you buy supplies or groceries to the market or public market, you must show them how you interact wth locals so that your subscriber become aware and curious wth your everyday vlog. So that you make attract more and more potential subscriber in your youtube channel.. thank
I love Marang and Durian but the Durian is so famous in all over Philippines Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao.. and Marang only famous in Mindanao

In the Philippines, we treat people with respect and with genuine warmth and hospitality. Nationality doesn't matter because we are all like one big community, because we are all citizens of the world, meeting together in one cultural melting pot-PH!

OMG it sounds so nice! let it be!❤️❤️❤️🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

It's good to plant more pineapple in there Valentina. The soil is healthy for that fruit.
You can cook marang seeds and eat it. It taste like jackfruit seeds...
is it hard to peel? because marang seeds are small
Sometimes they call you joe because in the dictionary joe meaning is a friend that is why they say hi joe mean a friend especially when a lot of Americans stay here in the Philippines
very interesting!!
You can use fork instead of hands when eating marang.try using fork under it because sometimes you cannot pull it by hands.and it is very interesting using fork you can pick 3 seeds
wow i didn't know it's possible to eat marang by fork. i'll try!!
The big pineapple fruit is not yet ripe.the small one is surely sweet.wow marang fruit is very delicious fruit.super sweet and fresh.you have lot of fruits in your backyard valentina.
We don't have that in our area at Luzon mostly only at Mindanao if I'm not mistaken
yes its mostly at Mindanao
@@ValentinaLovingPhilippines I'm a Filipino at age 68 but till now I didn't know the taste of Durian and Marang, we don't have that in our area but we can find it in SM Store and so expensive, Jackfruit we can find it everywhere like Mango. You know Ana Rabtsun the Russian lady who married a Filipino guy and she's so fluent in Tagalog she was living in NAIC Cavite at Luzon area close to Manila her TH-cam channel is BAYLOSIS SQUAD
Davao is The Fruit’s Haven of the Philippines , Most of The Fruits That Coming To Manila is Comes From Davao …. 🙏💪💪💪✌️👍👍👍
And you say now they seldom not telling that word Joe because they are all modernise and people of the Philippines there life improved very well Philippines is now a popular country
You can roast in a hot pan the seeds of marang. It taste like pistachio
i'll try
May I recommend that you leave business cards at fruit stalls and groups of people you meet.
Also collab with others
I would like to see your number increase and succeed
There’s not too many female bloggers living in the Philippines
Also, you seem genuine and kind to locals, even appreciative
More blessings to you !
thank you so much for these ideas!🙏❤️ i didn't think about leaving cards. but yes it may work
@@ValentinaLovingPhilippines when you tell the locals that you will show them in TH-cam , they will like that. Some may be shy but mostly would be excited. And you make that connection, it will surely bump up your subscribers FAST.
Enjoy life, we are all the children of god and god created this world for us
YES!!!❤️
Marang is very sweet just like you Valya. Marang is My favorite next to durian!
the same about me!
It is more fun to live in the Philippines

Your children are so cute..keep good job mam ..mabuhay po kayo...❤❤❤❤❤

Men! You made us so starving here in usa while watchin you eating that big fruit! Hows the taste?

i;ll do!!
Your life will be long here in the Philippines because you like to eat different fruits, try eating vegetables ..
soon in Samal might the properties will sell in high value because soon they will build a bridge from davao to samal island..better u have to buy as early then in future u sell it into high value
in 2027, so 3 years more
Yummy 😊😊😊
Hi Val! Do you know that I haven't tried Marang? We don't have that here in Manila. I'm curious about the taste. Hopefully someday I get the chance to taste it. 😊 The American guy, Derick. Is he living there in Samal too?
meron dyan marang sa manila ..punta kasa mga palenke fruit stand..marami ako nkikita dyan wala lang ako pambili mahal kse at mahirap lang ako 😂
Darrick is moving around the Philippines. he visited many places here. by the way, i saw marang in Manila's supermarkets, but it wasn't ripe at all
Really? Marang is really not that popular here maybe because they only sell a few of these and just in selected groceries and it's very expensive here in Manila. Anyway, if I get the chance to see it I'll buy one just to try. 🤗 Thanks Val! 👍😊🤗💕
Wow, Segie is feasting on the fruit! Did he finish the entire fruit himself?
yes he did!!
FYI: GI Joe just means American soldier, it was coined during World war 2 when Americans came to free us from Japan.
So when we see caucasians , we refer to you as GI Joe.
Valentina come try to visit Kidapawan City every February as the celebrate Timpupu Festival. It’s a festive celebration for the abundance of fruits. It’s the fruit basket of the Philippines. Also Hey Joe is one of the old habit of Filipino to say Hello. Back in the days Americans are the white people who visit Philippines and they often called Joe. Filipinos had the impression that all white people are Americans.
oh i;ve been to Kidapawan three times, but i missed Timpupu Festival
MaRANG one of the most delicious fruit in the world.
agree
If its almost overipe marang i put in ref to lessen the sweetness,i really like when it's cold.😊im new sub here...
my kids also like marang from ref
