North West's Lion King Performance: A ROAR-some Joke!

- North West made her first appearance in Hollywood as young Simba for the 30th anniversary of The Lion King, and the reaction was largely negative. Do you believe she earned the role of young Simba, or is this an extreme example of nepotism? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

North can't carry a tune in a bucket and sorry, it WAS HORRIBLE!!!!!! It was an insult to all the talented people on that stage and THEN did they put out an applause sign?

Here’s my vocal coach opinion. She definitely can hear pitch so I can see with proper training she will be able to sing. I don’t know how good she will be but yes she can hear pitch. This was a 30th Anniversary show. High caliber professional performers. The whole cast wearing the fantastic Lion King costumes and we now know there were very qualified child professionals in the running for the roll of young Simba. North was in no way prepared to come out on a stage with all those Broadway pros and perform. The costume was bad and the performance was grade school level. Add to that that we have now all seen everything that her mother has aloud her to do on their show. Being entitled and rude. Sitting next to Anna Wintor at a Paris fashion show with a note she’s holding up for photographers saying “no pictures”. Sassing a major fashion designer before the Met Gala criticizing his work, saying it looked cheap and fake. The whole Taylor Swift stuff. This child has not made a good impression on the public and her mother has allowed it. I’m not a Kanye fan but I do agree with him that North is too young for Tik Tok and she doesnt need to be front and center on the family show. She’s 10 and what occurred was not in anyway her fault. I feel sure her mother set this all up and she did her oldest no favors. We live in a mean world and folks don’t care that they are talking about a ten year old because it’s been a free for all on North when all the criticism actually falls on Kim and Disney.

nepotism SUCKS for actual talent. i bet there were DOZENS of truly talented kids who could perform that role 110% better who walked away from that audition HEARTBROKEN they didn't get the part. it's really angering actually.

It's important to remember that everyone has their own unique way of parenting.
She was horrible,Kim allegedly paid a million dollars for her yo perform. No, she was horrible, no talent and clearly didn’t rehearse. Children were lined up to audition for their final auditions and they said Kim walked right past them with her daughter.

On Broadway, both boys and girls play the part of young Simba - its about acting chops not gender for the actor playing the part. This poor child is being used by her disgusting parents - I really feel badly for her.

Let’s face it, North sings just like her parents. Kanye might’ve put out some great rap tracks, but he can’t sing for beans. (May I remind you of the ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ debacle?) And Kim has zero talent! Her fame is her sex tape, and the wealth that her daddy gave to her. (I’ve never watched a single episode of her show, but I do remember that her dad, Robert Kardashian, was one of OJ Simpson’s lawyers.)
Unfortunately, because of the way North was raised, this 10-year-old acts unbelievably entitled. She’s going to be a nightmare as an adult… and it’s her parents’ fault.
Paying for her to ‘skip ahead of the line’, after so many young, talented children went thru the entire audition process, was cruel to all those children who actually did the work. (This show was produced by the same company that produces the Kardashian show.)
There’s a rumor going around that North West received a standing ovation after her performance, but that’s all it was-a rumor. There is a video circling the web that shows the audience’s true response, including how her parents’ acted after her part was over. She did NOT receive a ‘standing O’, and after Kim and Kanye saw the reaction from the audience, they quickly got up and left-immediately after North’s performance, and before the show was over.
Embarrassment, perhaps? Who knows. But that should teach them not to do that in the future. Not only will it result in an unbelievably entitled, and spoiled rotten adult… but because she doesn’t have the talent to back it up, it will only cause future embarrassment.
They need to invest a little of that money in voice and acting lessons, if they truly want their daughter to have any hope of a career.

She looked cute and as if she were having fun. But it was a reach for her current level of talent or expertise. Who lets a 10-year old pick out their own costume for such a big production? Hopefully she’ll keep working and building her skills in any area that interests her and doesn’t take this to heart.
IT would of been great if this was an elementary school performance!
