Madness Arcade Scar already had like wanted the throne, which is why he listened to the strange lion about wisdom and power. The scar just sped things up.
The scar didn't turn Scar evil, remember, the Strange Lion convinced Scar to follow him by promising him power and the throne. So Scar was already willing to betray Mufasa before he even had the Mark of Evil.
Remember this IS Scar trying to persuade a young cub that knows nothing of his past. He's saying things to get this cub to turn evil, to mess with his head while he's under the effects of the poison. And seeing how everyone reacts to the poison and the story I think it's safe to say the poison does make you worse. Taka was willing to take over, but I doubt he was willing to actually kill Mufasa. If he wanted power then he most likely wanted to beat Mufasa in a fight for the throne, not throw his brother off of a cliff, so the part about the poison messing with him could've been true

I’ve always questioned why the didn’t introduce Kion AFTER the events of Lion King 2. Why couldn’t she have a much younger brother? I can think of many adventures he could have in addition to the ones he would have still in the show. It just seemed like an overly complicated choice.
It could also add more interesting plots; maybe Scar AND Zira's ghosts show up, and perhaps they start causing unrest in the pridelands by convincing animals that Kovu, his son, and Kiara by corruption/association, would one day turn back to Scar's ways or something because he looks like it (not to mention that animals probably wouldn't have trusted him right away after the events of the 2nd movie, let alone his son) and the lion guard being comprised of different animals could show that every creature should unite. Also, the hyenas could still come back, but some (Janja n his crew) ave a distrust/stigma against lions because of Scar. I dunno tho
Yeah it is an odd choice. I mean i love seeing what simba having a son or daughter is like instead of just one over the other. But giving him a daughter first was a nice change and we didn't spend too much time on young simba or kiara so the childish crap wasn't a big repellent. But it feels so odd giving kion the role of simba's son instead of kovu and kiara's because the writing possibilities feel hindered and restricted. Now you have to do all this mumbo jumbo nonsense about character inconsistencies, where did this character come from, where was this character go during x part of lion king 2 etc. When all of that could have been avoided by simply having the series take place after lion king 2.
Actually they did, in TLK 2, Kovu met Kiara when he lived in these badlands, In the Lion Guard, Kovu somehow knew Kiara before they lived at the badlands.

I’m glad this was explained since the beginning of the show a lot of fans claimed it to be, “uncanon,” but I’m glad it is canon and I feel like had Kion stayed Lion King 2 would’ve turned out very different had Kion let the venom corrupt him.

If you pay attention to the scene where Timon pumba and Simba are singing hakuna matata he's growing up and it shows the little bit of mane like kions for a short minute. And also in lion King 11/2 it shows him beginning to get a mane in that
The ending of the lion guard makes sense because of the age adults are adults between 3-8 years. When male lions are 3 this is when they search for a new pride perhaps this another reason kion decided to stay with rani. So in season kion must be around 1 and a half years (since he’s younger than kiara but not a very young cub as we see flash back) and kiara is 2 which explains why she’s a cub when kion is but fully grown when he’s a older teenager at end of season 3. Kiara is only a few months older than kion.
This is incorrect..male cubs are driven out at 3, they cannot take over a pride til about 5 years old or older; they're just maturing, not fully grown enough to be able to fight a fully matured lion with a pride at 3 years old (that's like saying a 12 year old could totally beat a 20 year old in a fight). They live nomadic lives til old enough to take over a pride!
I always thought, as a kid especially, that the tree of life from Disneyworld was that of Rafiki's tree in The Lion King. I have no idea how little me figured that out, other than the species of tree being the same, but it feels even more fitting now with The Lion Guard mythos.
Xehanort became "good" at the end of the KH3 because he was able to accept the fact that he is in love-ish with Eraqis (sorry if I spelled it wrong) and was able to be with his friend and float off to the afterlife or something like that. Best Disney bromance ever.
i loved the opening to the final season of the lion guard. it was a grate movie. and i loved how it gave an really grate insight to scars past before simba was born. i loved how the explained on how scar was a good lion before his fated down fall. i had always wondered how he got his scar since the first movie. and i figured as a kid they done it to show he was evil but now 24 years later they tell how he got it. 24 years to late but i love it non the less and i cant wait for the rest of season 3 of TLG to start up. i only seen promos for the last season and they all look grate. ^^
What if at the end of the season we'll see the lion guard all grown up return to the pride lands where lion king 2 left off if the lion guard ever plans to come back by the end of the season🤔🤔
Kion getting the scar and constantly questioning his thoughts and actions because of scar is the equivalent of experiencing OCD and intrusive thoughts. Lol I don't think this was Disney's point but I'm just connecting my dots here XD

The first episode says it all, she used to be a nanny, the other kids were too insane so she looked for other people and she wanted to be an actor but just stuck to being a babysitter/nanny because she needed the money, she got attached to the new kids you know and love today, and then she got a job offer to be an actor a.k.a her dream, she couldn’t resist so she said goodbye and went on her way. She’s a girl who needs a job, got extremely lucky and found a rich family and got attached to the kids there, fell in love etc.
because apparently the tree of life is in India and Kion went the long way. They actually meet a male Indian cheetah on their travels, who comes back later to reveal there was a shorter way, but this was after Kion finished his journey
@@beccacroce7380 My theory is that the Lion King universe occurred during the Pangaea where there was one supercontinent and so the Tree of Life is really not as far from the Pride Lands as it seems when they were going there. During this era before the Continent Drift, India and Southern Africa are quite close to each other.
So this explains why kion wasn’t in the lion king 2 he has focus on his mission to be going to the tree of life to heal up his scar right after he got bitten by oshari he’d lost control of the roar so he has to go to the tree on life to heal up his scar, now this explained everything!

Okay this makes so much sense now! I hope they make a lion king 3 with kion returning home! I was very unsure how to feel about this show at first but the story went so deep and I'm so happy and it wasn't just a kid show! Please lion king 3 one day come
Kion went to the Tree of Life, then came back with Simba welcoming Kovu in to the Pride Lands (End part of Lion King 2) He went back to the Tree Of Life, got coronated as king, and stayed there (Last Episode of Lion King Season 3) That's the real reason for me. He was the King in the Tree of Life with Rani, the leader of the Night Pride before Queen Jana died.
So at the point Simba and the pride landers all sung the lyric “Evil as plain as the scar on his face” Towards Kovu. They all knew that Kion had a scar also? Basically calling the Prince Evil.

@Dawid 26480 That would be a remake like 2019 film which is it's own continuity. Disney can Recon existing canon (hence why we have a Lion Guard). However I doubt that Disney would retcon one of there most beloved and most profitable franchises out of existing continuity.
By now we know the reasons, but the next Lion King should have Kion or atleast some references of Kion since he’s now at the tree of life, maybe Kion and the guard returns to the pride lands for some reason.

Why wasn't kion in the lion king 2? Well maybe because he didn't exist, and the series the lion guard just decided that Simba should have a son out of nowhere supposedly the same time he had Kiara which messes up the timeline and story completely because it literally makes no sense, you can't insert a character in that technically didn't even exist in the first place, it would have been better if they made it to where Simba had kion after Kiara grew up and got married to kovu
Considering Disney was perfectly willing to pretend The Lion King 2 wasn't a thing for the better part of a decade and re-release the original on dvd and Blu ray (it debuted on VHS and Laserdisk if you didn't already know), I'd say its entirely in the public domain if its canon or not. Simba's pride wasn't made by the same director and in many aspects it shows. That being said it still retained a lot of the Shakespearean charm of the first one. Kion and the lion guard diverge so far from the spirit of the original 2 films the show is just licenced piece of fanwork as far as I'm concerned.
This dude: *makes 9 minute video explaining* Me in 30 seconds: Kion went to the tree of life and at the beginning of season 3 simba says, "hopefully you'll be back in time for Kiara's first hunt." Which appears in the second Lion King movie. He didn't get back until several hours after the events of the second movie happened. When it comes to childhood, Kion was doing his duties all the time and never had much time to spend with his sister or know what was going on with her. Hints not being spoken of seeing that there's no need to worry. He's doing his job, and he's safe.

i think kion went to the tree of life in the lion king 2 because in one of the scenes in a lion guard vid was kiara and kovu said zira died and in the lion king 2 zira died and kion wasnt there so he had to be at the tree of life
RandomGirlOnTheInternet Well thank you because given how there are so many plot holes and inconsistencies throughout the lion king franchise (although I fully acknowledge that it’s not the only Disney franchise that suffers from this) and how the fandom tries their best to shoehorn in everything (even if a lot ideas and theories don’t make sense) I believe this is one of the biggest reasons if not THE biggest reason why the lion king fandom is so crazy(don’t deny or try to defend it cause it’s true)
This also gives another reason as to why Zira chose to attack the Pride Lands during the film. Because not only was Simba injured, but the Pride Lands’ greatest defenders were absent. So Zira knew she needed to attack right then before the Lion Guard returned.
The next Lion King movie would be Lion King 3: Kion's Return. And if it happened, Kion would be shocked to see Kiara with Kovu. Edit: I wrote this comment before I saw the ending. But I dont have Disney Junior or anything like that to watch it, so I didnt know until I found a TH-cam vid. 2nd edit: I know its Lion King 4, I had comments on it a while ago and I get it, this comments from a week ago now, yes it is the third lion king movie I understand, through the whole list of comments you can see that I actually said that I forgot about it.
Disney doesn’t really make much money on this show. It’s not like people are paying them directly to watch it. They just pay TV providers and then the TV provider pays Disney a small amount.
That isn’t actually how scar got his scar. It was his father who gave it to him after finding scar hanging around with the hyenas as a young cub. Scars name wasn’t even scar to begin with, it was Taka.

I just want to say that they timed it perfectly well and fit in both stories well explaining why Kion was absent in the second lion king movie and when he only returned after the second movie when everyone was united it was an amazing timeline fit they did well explaining it and helping us understand where the lion guard was so well done Disney they nailed the time gap there

That seems a bit more in character for him. I mean, Scar was smart. And then they have it like "oh, he got his scar because he was TRICKED" Like no, if anyone does tricking, it's Scar. Evil dude doesn't get tricked.

She’s a girl who needs a job, got extremely lucky and found a rich family and got attached to the kids there, fell in love etc.

because apparently the tree of life is in India and Kion went the long way. They actually meet a male Indian cheetah on their travels, who comes back later to reveal there was a shorter way, but this was after Kion finished his journey
@@beccacroce7380 My theory is that the Lion King universe occurred during the Pangaea where there was one supercontinent and so the Tree of Life is really not as far from the Pride Lands as it seems when they were going there. During this era before the Continent Drift, India and Southern Africa are quite close to each other.
So this explains why kion wasn’t in the lion king 2 he has focus on his mission to be going to the tree of life to heal up his scar right after he got bitten by oshari he’d lost control of the roar so he has to go to the tree on life to heal up his scar, now this explained everything!

Kion went to the Tree of Life, then came back with Simba welcoming Kovu in to the Pride Lands (End part of Lion King 2) He went back to the Tree Of Life, got coronated as king, and stayed there (Last Episode of Lion King Season 3) That's the real reason for me. He was the King in the Tree of Life with Rani, the leader of the Night Pride before Queen Jana died.

@Dawid 26480 That would be a remake like 2019 film which is it's own continuity. Disney can Recon existing canon (hence why we have a Lion Guard). However I doubt that Disney would retcon one of there most beloved and most profitable franchises out of existing continuity.

Why wasn't kion in the lion king 2? Well maybe because he didn't exist, and the series the lion guard just decided that Simba should have a son out of nowhere supposedly the same time he had Kiara which messes up the timeline and story completely because it literally makes no sense, you can't insert a character in that technically didn't even exist in the first place, it would have been better if they made it to where Simba had kion after Kiara grew up and got married to kovu

Considering Disney was perfectly willing to pretend The Lion King 2 wasn't a thing for the better part of a decade and re-release the original on dvd and Blu ray (it debuted on VHS and Laserdisk if you didn't already know), I'd say its entirely in the public domain if its canon or not. Simba's pride wasn't made by the same director and in many aspects it shows. That being said it still retained a lot of the Shakespearean charm of the first one. Kion and the lion guard diverge so far from the spirit of the original 2 films the show is just licenced piece of fanwork as far as I'm concerned.

Me in 30 seconds: Kion went to the tree of life and at the beginning of season 3 simba says, "hopefully you'll be back in time for Kiara's first hunt." Which appears in the second Lion King movie. He didn't get back until several hours after the events of the second movie happened. When it comes to childhood, Kion was doing his duties all the time and never had much time to spend with his sister or know what was going on with her. Hints not being spoken of seeing that there's no need to worry. He's doing his job, and he's safe.

RandomGirlOnTheInternet Well thank you because given how there are so many plot holes and inconsistencies throughout the lion king franchise (although I fully acknowledge that it’s not the only Disney franchise that suffers from this) and how the fandom tries their best to shoehorn in everything (even if a lot ideas and theories don’t make sense) I believe this is one of the biggest reasons if not THE biggest reason why the lion king fandom is so crazy(don’t deny or try to defend it cause it’s true)
This also gives another reason as to why Zira chose to attack the Pride Lands during the film. Because not only was Simba injured, but the Pride Lands’ greatest defenders were absent. So Zira knew she needed to attack right then before the Lion Guard returned.
Also kion stated that as long I'm around you are not welcome into the pridelands or the outlands which another reason why they choose to attack!
