Thanks Andy I did not take the front panel off the bolts that hold the rad in the bottom came out easily through the grill. Then I left the water filler cap on and took the bottom hose off carefully just make sure you protect the wiring around the Gearbox area in case you get it wrong saves you some time my issue was overheating at 70 mph and uphill all ok now.. Hello. I have a 2006 Voyager 2.8crd Does only one of the radiator fans operating in stage 2 operate at full speed or do both of them operate at full speed? The air conditioner is off.
HI Andy! thank you for your video. I've the same trouble and my Grand Voyager is 2005's model with 2.8CRD (110kwh - 150cv) motor. I've a doubt about the radiator to buy: the size 735mm x 396mmx27mm? Best regards , Fabio from Italy!
Hi there, glad to be of help. So you've got the same GV as me, I ordered mine from ebay and I checked, they are still stocking them: "BRAND NEW RADIATOR CHRYSLER GRAND VOYAGER / VOYAGER 2.8 CRD DIESEL 2002 TO 2007" h t t p : / / r.ebay.com/8Gvj7U Which should do the job, I didn't find any different sizes/styles for my year they all matched that spec.
Hallo Andy, thanks for your Video, now I can replace also my radiator. I have the same car leaking at the same spot. Now I have only one question. Was your engine because of this isseu also heating up to mutch. Or could that be an other problem (with enoug cooling liquit). My engine is heating up to mutch when I get over the 2000 rpm. Could that related to the radiator? Greatings from holland
A very informative and helpful video. I hope you don't mind answering a question related to this. I tried to change the antifreeze on my Grand Voyager but didn't know about the drain pipe on the front left so I dropped the bottom hose. Only got 5 litres of old fluid out instead of the 13 litres expected. Is this little drain the main drain for the cooling system or do I need to drop the bottom hose as well?
Hi John, I had a similar problem, and did the drain plug at the front and pulled the bottom hose and had the same issue. I believe it's because of the Aux heater that has fluid in it. Do several flushes of the system seems the best way. So drain, fill with water, run for 5-10mins and repeat this a few times, that's what got a decent flush for me
Sorry, wasn't aware I'd missed those, it's been a while but I don't even remember those bolts being on mine. Do you have any photos as I'd be happy to update the video for others?
Just to add to this, I've checked the shop manual and there was a change in design, mine didn't have base bolts holding it, however different editions did have these so if you have further info/photos it would be good to add for others.
Hi Andy just about to do mine I think you said there was bolts at the botton of the rad when you pick it up you said it's easier with the front panel off was I right to think that so you did say about the bolts at the botton of the rad at 13.50 thanks Jeff@@junkendriven

Great video!, fitting a new radiator due to over heating, hopefully this will resolve my issue.
Hi , is that resolved your overheating by replacing your radiator??

Great video! At 8:26 is the radiator drain switch in the on or off position? Cheers

You won't get 13 liters out of the system as these are euro spec voyagers with no heaters in the rear of the car. Nor AC systems back there.
Sorry, Where the auxiliary heat heater is located?
Under the car almost directly under the drivers seat.
great detail until you missed out the hard to find bolts at bottom to remove rad !!!??? WTF the most important bit ,so a wasted video
