Love the dress on you! You look beautiful , love the style. One suggestion if your sewing say a hem no need to backstitch at the beginning or end. Just stitch past the beginning an 1" to complete the circle. Back stitch once or tie off.
Sorry that you lost your sewing supervisor - my condolences. I like the dress - it's cute. I'd love to see you make some more Cashmerette patterns, I have the Upton and the Rosclair so far but I think I'll be getting some more as I do like the fit.
I think their knit patterns have a great fit and I would recommend them. The Upton will probably be the next Cashmerette one I do, although I also have the similar one printed from her book and have been debating. I have several Charm patterns lined up next as well as a made for mermaids one, so hopefully that will still be interesting!
Great first project. Terrific job getting the tension just right. A tiny tip: When starting a seam, you can lift just the front of the presser foot with your thumb. Edit: At least my Pfaff works like that.
Place the pins vertically instead of horizontally when serging so you won’t have to worry about stitching over them, which could ruin your cutter blade and do other damage too! I know it’s an ingrained sewing habit to pin like that but you can serge much faster this way!
Another thing I love about your videos is you zoom in on your work and you have great lighting so your camera angle is perfect!
Thanks! Im always working on it. This is a clip ikea desk light and a phone at this point, so its amazing what you can do
You've made this pattern relatable for me. Appreciate haring your thought process.
I am so glad to hear that! That is my goal

I love the dress, really cute! I like it better without any belt: the fabric and the pleats have enough details to make it stylish
Thanks! Yes I couldnt decide belt or no belt, but since then I have been wearing it sans belt, because I also think so.
Love the dress and the pattern. I love the pleats as well.
Thanks so much!
New to your channel. I also have the same patterns and it is good to see other seamstress working on them as well. Love the dress
Thank you!

I think mine will do that? I will give it a go. It likes to eat corners 😝 so it might be helpful

Excellent tip! My serger and I are still getting acquainted for sure.
Great editing Ashley! Loved the end results!
Thanks so much! I appreciate you watching! I am excited to work on the next one
