- Fantastic time once again onboard a Qatar Airways flight, this time in the economy cabin from Dubai through to their home in Doha.
Just a short flight ok this occasion but as ever, the crew were fantastic, seats nice and spacious and fully catered. It was especially nice checking out economy onboard the a350, that front row of seats next to the window would for sure be the ones to go for, the legroom really was superb.

How's it like?
Flying two legs with qatar totalling nearly 23 hours of in air time! The wife and I are very excited

Is the free wifi on qatar economy class is available with no extra cost ?
@@Travelsbydreamer ended up being our least favorite legs of the flight. Seats were uncomfortable, service was mediocre and the food was below the quality of American and Japan airlines
@@sasawy80 yes but dont expect it to work very well. We relied on downloaded content and the in seat entertainment

Correct, it’s generally an Arabic mezze. However, for a flight of that length, the fact they offer anything at all is fantastic
Do the front seats have usb ports I e just booked on the a380 from Doha to Sydney and I will definitely need a charging port ?
Gut feel says that they’d be on the underside of the pullout entertainment screens. Not sure though. A good seat for that length of flight. Could always ask the crew to charge the device potentially also, they may be able to help worst case…
are headphones provided for the in flight entertainment?

When you were sitting in that row did you have a TV?
Yep, just comes up from the side of the seat. Does mean it’s at a lower angle which I don’t tend to like much but that’s how most airlines do it.

Are they strict with the check in luggage ?
Hmm, I’ve never pushed the allowance to the upper end so can’t comment for sure. In my experience however the Middle East airlines are a lot more relaxed than those in Europe and elsewhere :)

just a quick question, is the handle removable or is it there all the time? especially for the front row seats via extra legroom seats.
The armrest right? If so, sadly not, they’re fixed in the front seats as house the entertainment screens :)
I asked some other travelers and they said that the handle or let me say the armrest is foldable for the extra legroom seats, as I also asked qatar airways office and they said that they are easily removed if I called for help, if you are sure that they are stable and I can remove or fold them just let me know because the width is too small.
@@musqallaf4945 wouldn’t like to second guess the airline itself but I’ve never been aware of the forward seats armrests being moveable. That said, I’ve never asked so would seek guidance with the airline if a dealbreaker.

Will likely depend location to location but often for bag drop anyway. Best to check with airline.

Hi, can you confirm if this is 16a and 16c? I've just booked these seats going from Manchester to doha and was concerned there was a gap on between the 2 seats
Makes sense. On the A350-900 these seats show up as A & C, on the A350-1000 however they’re A and B. Regardless, if the seat map shows you booked into that twin seat, there won’t be one in between :)

Ticket charge?
I find the seats in economy too hard. Not pleasant in a 14 h flight. The old seat where much better
Yeah I tend to prefer softer also. 14 hours really is a lengthy one in economy

None of the USB outlets work in planes. Attendant took so long to remove dinner trays that passengers took upon themselves to carry them to back. Even at Qatar airport the electric receptacles don't work.
Sometimes the USB power is enabled by crew or not as the case may be. Always best to ask if you find them not working in my experience. Sorry to hear about the service on that flight - not typical in any of my experiences
@@Travelsbydreamer Now eating $5 solo croissant at Doha airport only to charge up the phone! Even free wifi at airport keeps connecting and disconnecting. Guess, I need to buy 3 more croissants to use their wifi instead!

19-hour flight, and u didn't eat. That's not a very good advert for the food?
DXB-DOH, it’s around 45 mins.
I paid for one seat out for one flight out of four but they will not let me choose seats anymore except via live chat!! How ridiculous. That's one snippet of a terrible saga of horrible customer service. Unless you got a superr good deal, RUN.

No one drives from DXB - DOH. It’s 700+KM…
The A350 economy seats are narrow, hard and very uncomfortable. I flew From Houston to Doha on a 14 hour flight and it’s one of the most uncomfortable experiences I’ve had. I paid for extra legroom but it’s only a few centimeters more . The body of your fellow passengers are all over yours because they crammed as many seats together and they don’t care about the comfort of the economy passengers which is about 70% on the plane. All those TH-camrs that are propagating this false claims are getting a kick back from Qatar . After sitting on that raggedy A350 plane for 14 hours. It’s hard for you to get a shut eye while inflight. my back was hurting badly. They do have an A380/8000 plane that should be use for these long haul flights which is way more comfortable. The food is meh , if you like bland and unseasoned food they have yours waiting. I DO NOT recommend flying on this airline from Houston to Doha Qatar.
Can’t speak for the TH-cam community but certainly no ‘kickbacks’ from QR for this review. Qatar Airways is about as good as long haul travel gets these days. The A350 product is far more up to date than the 380 and whilst I’d probably recommend that on the upper deck in economy as their best offering, the 350 is a pretty good way to go.
Would recommend a higher cabin as you’ll be hard pressed to find any additional space with other carriers.

I love the flight from Zürich to Doha, the airplane are great. but it`s a horror to flight from Doha to Goa, no place, the food is not good, the stewardess dont bring you a drink, no coffe or tea, no glas or a cup for schwepes in the can ! ich liebe es von Zürich nach Doha zu fliegen mit Qatar, genug platz, freundlicher service. aber ist der horror von Doha nach Goa zu fliegen ! kein platz, keine beinfreiheit, der nachbar nahm mir den halben platz weg, nieste auf sein essen und mein essen, die stewardess kam nicht, als ich einen becher forderte für das schwepes aus der büchse. bin 69 jahre alt und habe und werde nie aus einer büchse trinken. es gab kein getränk sonst, nur beim essen, auch kaffee und tee gab es es nicht, sie war zwar vorne damit aber rannte dann nach hinten, ohne zu servieren ! schlimmster flug ever !!!

It’s getting mediocre everytime. In fact that hamburger it’s the same I got in my last flight. Hideous!!!
The hummus right? They typically roll this out on the short services - can imagine it wouldn’t be good if you didn’t like it as you do see it often.
Who would you typically look to fly with instead? 😃
The hamburger itself and the mix with the red cabbage. Short of weird salted sweet flavour. I fly with them for the Oneworld frequent flier program but getting down day by day. Qsuites are decent but no unaffordable most of the times.

Great to have them as part of the OWA for sure - haven’t don’t their business for a while so keen to sample that again as do hear a few mixed comments these days…
