Depends on your definition of a big name. He’s got 5 full specials, a half hour CC special, a set on Netflix, and he was the voice of the CC blurb for years. Kinane’s been a name in the game since Whiskey Icarus
He's more like a Dave attell or Patrice oneal level of comedy. Just an absolute killer that always delivers but for some reason the norms don't respect it. I've listened to his podcast as well and it's not the best. It's okay. I think he just got left inbetween the last of the actual standups and the new guys that build a following from a podcast or viral clips. I love him but I don't think he had the same social media game as the last few that blew up that way. I never get clips of his recommended but all of a sudden this week all these not new comicsnhave been bombarding my page.
@@rudesword2852Good points. Funny you should mention his podcast. I download an ep. Made it 3 or 4 minutes in before I unsubscribed. The guy he does it with did most of the talking and he was neither interesting nor funny.

Hahaa!!! The Chipotle bit def hit home with me. I got Hepatitis A in 2019!! Almost 1/2 of Columbus, OH was affected by the outbreak. I nearly died! I was so jaundiced that the whites in my eyes were even an amber color! Liver was shutting down withibg a few days of eating Chipotle. Had to go to the ER and they rushed me into ICU immediately and put me on IV fluids to flush my system and had to stay in the hospital for 6 days. I had no idea that you could contract Hepatitis A from food! Let's just say...even tho their food slaps, I will NEVER take that chance again!

One of the best in the biz. There’s something Carlin-ish about it, and that’s a huge compliment
He does the monologues and speech like comedy but he does it in a way that is meant to be funny and not like a lecture which is how some people use the style. It's great, he tells stories through the shows, there are any jokes throughout but it flows and is delivered uninterrupted. Very few clap pauses, the opening good poisoning but for example he is adding on to one long joke, people are catching every piece and he just keeps rolling through the joke with slight natural pauses when needed.

Seeing Kyle unedited is even more impressive with his ability to slide into each topic seemingly without effort. Absolutely at the top of his game for seasoned comedian.

It's been a long time since I saw a comedian that made me laugh out loud multiple times throughout their special. He is killing it.
You say that... meanwhile, Shane Gillis is being hailed as the 'comedy messiah'.
@jeremybartlett1706 Shane Gillis is pretty hilarious but he's got a ways to go to come close to Kyle. I like that Shane pushes the boundaries but he needs to develop his craft a bit more and get into longer jokes. Kyle's pretty good at splitting stories up then correcting course and merging them. As unpolished as Kyle's act seems you know he really works on it and his timing and delivery are perfect.

Pet peeve of mine, as a physician: THE APPENDIX DOES DO THINGS. It's actually one of the best areas in your gut to train your immune system because of the specialized cells in its wall. It's not going to kill you to not have, but as you're young it's really helpful to grow that system.

I was recently in an ER for diverticulitis and heard a doc in the hallway mention a "lappy appy" (about someone else thankfully!! LoL) and I literally bust out laughing because of this 😅

He's so naturally hilarious.
Don't fret! He releases a new "special" every other month; mostly the same jokes worded differently plus maybe one or two new ones sprinkled on top.
Kinane is the punk heros of comedians. He captured the personal experience and existential crisis of life and puts it into making people smile. I always like to say if I wasn't laughing I'd be sobbing about the general concept of life. But Kyle keeps me smiling in this moment.
He's a hack. Three specials in one year and tells the same jokes over and over again just worded differently.

For some reason, this showed up in my feed and it's a good thing that it did. I've never heard of Kyle before this and as it turns out, he's fucking hilarious.
That's the best stand-up set I've heard in a few years. I eventually caught a double meaning from the title and thought 'surprises and proud moments' - Kyle, you are important and appreciated. Keep struttin', brother.

One time I stayed 3 hours past checkout time. It was a work trip where I was helping train staff and open up a new franchise location. The last night there the training staff got some bottles and got absolutely hammered. Drinking until 5am. I've never been that hungover before. The cleaning crew came in about a half hour after checkout time and left thinking I was staying. Then an hour later someone else came by and told me that I need to get going. Then a half hour later someone came by and said a little more firmly that I needed to leave. Then a half hour later someone came by with a tone of concern. Ended up sleeping in my car for another few hours before getting a baconator and then driving home. I still have no idea if the hotel charged my employer for missing checkout lol.

I recommend getting a purple pillow that one of the best pillows I've ever had just like a cross between a marshmallow and gelatin or what some people call jello, it never goes flat absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend it if you can get one they have a queen and a king size pillow.

He is one of the best comedians out there. Absolutely hysterical! It's actually funny he mentioned vaccines, science, and COVID. I saw him in Kansas City this time last year in 2022 and actually got COVID while at his show. Totally worth it!!!!
