A very nice day I like to have is taking a little lsd and listening to all of your specials starting with this one. I always tell people how great you are when they ask for good comics.

And both of them are regarded as top tier comedians by everyone who's an enthusiast, or in the biz themselves. They aren't overlooked, but your right, people shoukd be more familiar with them than Bill Maher for instance
He says he has movie scripts he’s written that are good (he said this on the Stern show in like 2008) and ill never understand why they cant get made by someone. I mean id throw him the cash if i were a producer. Who cares if it makes a profit. Id imagine he has a great film in him. At least one!

All of them also overlapped with the radio morning show open and Antony, which replaced Howard Stern on terrestrial radio when he went to satellite. I mean he was doing weekend updates before that; but I’d say he was at his biggest around 2003ish when he had his own show on Comedy Central “tough crowd with Colin Quinn” where he brought that same crew on as regulars to talk about the daily absurdity of the news.
Colin you won't read this but you really should know that you've impacted comedy spectacular fashion. None like you, my friend. Thanks for all you've given us.
Dude is a true comedy legend. Got to see him workshop one of his specials in Queens a few years ago and it was one of the smartest and best shows I'd ever been to.
My friend, none like you, my fan, you’ve impacted me as the actual talent, the great comedian, so much. Thanks for all the tiny amounts of money I’ve made from you watching not only this near free video but also that crap with super low resolution Tough Crowd (directed by Patrice O’Neill, sorta)

I thought the same. Started listening while walking w my dog, now home watching and going to rewatch. And then sending to friends w high school kids. Many Thanks for this.
I got a chance to meet Colin Quinn after one of his gigs in Rhode Island. We hung out in the parking lot. It was around Covid so the show is outside. He was such a nice guy so brilliant so smart. Smartest comedian there is.
This was an absolute masterpiece. For those that don't know there is another special Colin did about the history of new york. It's the same format an just as good
Simply amazing. Whether Colin is bashing Jimmy on O&A, playing a gritty NY detective, or giving a history lesson he is simply amazing in all his endeavors.
This makes me wish Mr. Quinn had been my history teacher from Elementary School all the way through college. This special always makes me laugh, thank you.
@@FoxyCAMTV very few stutters and tangents and mush-mouth (which is what he is really known for). he had really rehearsed this show. and it was phenomenal.

One of Quinn’s best. Granted I am partial to the mullet and Pittsburgh Pirates jacket, but this evolution of CQ is top shelf comedic sophistication, stunning, elegant and hilarious throughout.
He manages to keep it highly entertaining and funny throughout while still having real wit and a lot of information that is presented through the lense of his understanding of history, which is considerable.
