Oh definitely Horshack. I really enjoyed his quirkiness.
But the whole show was great. I was a young kid at the time the series was popular, so I couldn't appreciate the high school experience just yet. But when I look back at my own hs days, I can relate to Horshack the most. And of course the song is great...

All of these are a bitter-sweet walk down memory lane. Great memories but sad to see how many of these old friends are no longer with us. At 72 it reminds me of my own pending mortality...

Life is definitely strange. When young it seems infinite. When you get older it’s such a different perspective. I’m 53 and seeing them older, dead, troubled, it’s so sad. Someone once told me life is for the young. So true. Although life is still good in older years.

Time marches on. As we get older. we see friends and relatives pass on. It's part of life. Sadly there are people that pass too soon or unexpectedly. That is the part that hurts the most.

I interviewed with Gabe Kaplan as a nanny here in NYC. I didn't take it because of long hours. But it was cool to meet him. He was all business though. But my favorite characters were Vinny Barbarino and Juan Epstein. Then I met Ron Palillo, years later when I worked at a doctors office right before he died. He was very nice!

Personally, Carvelli was my favorite character and thought it strange that you didn’t mention him but showed him several times.
Loved his poem (or was it a song?) for the talent show:
    “My name is Carvelli
    I live in New York
    I’m so mean and nasty
I eat my soup with a fork”. Lol!

Song "Peanut butter and jelly, that's what I put in my belly, that's why they call me Carvelli". Also surprised he wasn't mentioned.

I love that episode which was in season 4. Della Reese who was a teacher briefly filling in for Julie Kotter introduced Carvelli and his songs from the sewer. That song was called: Lunch. Carvelli also is a favorite of mine.

1985 that guy from the theme song performed for free at the Cincinnati zoo. My best friend forced me to go.
    It was so lame.
But it was neat to experience it. See the singer perform feet away from me.

Don't know about my favorite character, as a group these actors are definitely entertaining. But I do know this: Gabe Kaplan performed two shows at a certain club at which I used to be employed, and he wanted a high stakes game with my employer. He was welcomed with the proviso he had a return air ticket and did not bet that. He went home with only that after the two performances, which, in my opinion, were well received but not a smash. He was a nice guy, etc... they all are aren't they? At the establishment I referred to, there is a display of a book written written by my boss' father -- I swear, "How To Play Poker".

Charles Fleischer, who played Carvelli and is in some of the clips you showed, was the voice of Roger Rabbit. He's had an amazing career and still going. We did standup together a few times. I wound up working with his daughter Jessica at MTV in the early 2000's. Check out his Wikipedia page.
