The practice mode tip is the thing is SUPER useful. I always played with auto checkpoints, or just didn't use practice mode, and got nowhere. Then I started thinking "hmm, maybe if I turn off auto-checkpoints and then just practice the same part over and over, I'll be better." That allowed me to beat all of the 13 demons I now have. Oh wait, that's not true, like 5 of them have secret ways...
Find copyables and place start positions after copying them, thank me later. The only real scenario where you’ll be using this trick is for unknown levels that don’t really have any copyables. I think this will start to be more useful with new 2.2 levels because now that hacks are removed as well. Oh yeah, this is extremely basic information. Don’t listen to this idiot.
Also, most pro players had megahack, which allows them to toggle in between start positions inside levels so that basically makes this trick waste like 10 minutes of your time trying to practice mode to the end. even then you could just make multiple copies of a level and put the start positions in different places for all of them so you’d have different copyable for different parts. This is how I learned hard levels when I beat them.
as a Geometry Smasher, I can confirm that geometry smash motivated me through my weight-loss journey and i have went from 138lb to 250lb, thank you KaiGuy 🙏❤️
I recently went back to deadlocked and I can't believe how easy it felt after 8 years of casually playing other levels and having fun. That wave seemed impossible back in those days
Ikr I came back after beating my first insane demon (8o) and beat it in 30 attempts and no practice on the level itself (fluked memory ship), strangely Time Machine also took 30 attempts after I went back to that too
quick resume for short attention span people: 1.- believe in yourself. 2.- master the basics. Learn how GD works. 3.- turn off auto-checkpoints, they suck 4.- if your using practice mode, pause at the last click, and restart the checkpoint. once you finish that checkpoint, delete it. making you memorize better 5.- use start positions more. 6.- dont randomly go to an extreme demon if you have barely beaten demons. go for something more easier, then keep making it harder. 7.- master your mind. (hardest, yet best) 8.- don't doubt yourself in not believing yourself. 9.- don't believe in something that is very high of your range. 10.- focus having fun. play with friends, etc. 11.- master the art of practice. 12.- never avoid the hardest parts of the levels. 13.- always use method named progressive overload. 14.- always raise the range difficulty. but slowly 15.- master every single gamemode. 16.- use hacks, but only using it to help you practice. there u go!
also never play just by yourself, always either listen to a livestream or something like that in the background or be in a call with people. you wont get mad at random attempts and youll end up getting far without even realising it, reducing stress a lot
dont worry, i have 1080 att with only a 77% but someday i will have the luck of beating it also if you want to improve before beating clubstep or deadlocked you can use the GDDP', its really useful and gets you some of the easiest demons to the hardest demons. Good luck :).
ive actually got my own tip for myself that i also use. get a fire ass menu song. DUDE, EVERY TIME I GO INTO GD AND I HEAR THAT SONG, I WANNA PLAY GD MORE JUST BECAUSE OF IT. IT ADDS SO MUCH MOTIVATION TO ME FOR NO REASON
uhhh basically for straight fly click as little as possible but not so little that you just die (less clicks = more consistency) For other modes you mostly just need to get the muscle memory down or watch a video of someone beating the level if you’re confused, I just do what feels right for me until it works, although ufo is pretty dependent on click patterns so I always have to develop a pattern for that
If your having trouble on click patterns just grind it out until you know it, it helps to take a break when you don’t make progress for 100-200 attempts because that can become muscle memory and that wastes your time and energy
The part you told we shouldn’t mindlessly play made me so happy! When I first started playing GD I was planning to beat bloodbath as my first demon (my hardest then was shock by danolex) so I played it mindlessly and only managed to get 5% when I watched this vid I understanded my mistake!
I feel like i have to say, if you want to be a good player, go for medium sized jumps. Dont do stupid jumps, but dont make the mistake of not jumping at all. If you want to beat a hard level, take it day by day and if it will probably take you months, make a schedule on what to pracrice to force yourself to gain consistency at the parts you dislike that are hard. Your improvement from this will be unmatched. I got a huge skillset after zodiac which took me a long time, but i never gave up. I have to say, keep pushing yourself
I found that it was easier to practice levels when i was talking with friends on discord so that my mind wasn’t just thinking of that I ”need” to beat this level or that level and it helpt a lot to just talk with others

This video is in and of itself a very ambitious move, just KaiGuy trying to create the biggest and best GD community. [Just something I must mention: I've been playing for over 1.5 years with the same keyboard, and it's pretty bad, I have still beaten some easy extreme demons and some tough challenges and stuff, but nothing crazy. But, basically a friend gave me his keyboard for like 4 days and my GD skill skyrocketed. I did 58% on Bloodbath (with 34 being my best before the keyboard change), passing 42-53 4 times from 0 in one day (by far the hardest thing for me even from a startpos previously). I also did 23% x2 on Diamond Blade, with my best before this being 5 from 0 and 7 from after the little straight fly (even that little, easy straight fly is challenging with my normal, trash keyboard), and the same day I did 23% x2, I tried with my usual keyboard (which I've been used to for over a year) and struggled to get 5 when I was getting over 10 consistently. These are examples that prove my point; your hardware is a massive factor of how much you can actually achieve. It's still true, however, that you can be the best player playing on a garbage setup, if that's what you want.] I REALLY like this entire video and how Geometry Smash sounds like. I, however, though I would really like to be a top GD player, will choose to ignore this as a way to improve at the game, I would rather succeed in life, and the way I'm going (addicted to GD), it ain't easy. I do still think that the messages in this apply very well to real life. Everyone's telling me I'm not "him", and that I should stop believing I am him, but they'll never be him, only I HAVE POTENTIAL of becoming him.
