- Happy Monday to all my peeps!! I hope you all had a fabulous Easter! Here is our latest dive and WOW DID WE SCORE SOME AWESOME STUFF!!!! Literally we went shopping in the dumpsters bc only one item we found was broke!!! Everything was brand new in the packaging or box etc! I swear I will never stop being amazed at what these stores deem as "TRASH"!!!! We had prime rib!. Since both parents (mom's) are in their 80's now we didn't even cook, we did take out from a local restaurant and it was heavenly! To round out dinner we has lemon meringue pie 🥧. Lovely day, no cooking equals no stress!

So glad you are able to save so much stuff. I love the Plink Flamingo card. The round ornaments are cute. I checked a dumpster Sunday. I found bubble wrap. I got it out and as I turned around, I was face to face with a woman, asking me if I was hungry and in need of food. All I could do was point to the bubble wrap and say, "No, I'm in need of bubble wrap"
Our car was full of stuff we had gotten curbside. She asked if I was homeless. I kept trying to tell her the stuff was for a donation place. I thanked her for asking. But, I was never so thankful for bubble wrap then I was that day. I was caught off guard. How do you deal with that?
I know you told someone you just like to hang out in dumpsters.

Orchids, I’ve only now realised how to look after them, after the flowers have died cut the stem back really low, about 2cm from the bottom of the stem. Don’t water from the top, only the roots as this rots the leaves. Give it a few months of care, you’ll get another stem growing and more orchids! as usual you and Beth are a joy.x

Hi Shannon. The flowers you got are orchids. To water them, you need to put them completely in water for about 10 minutes or so. Then you let them drain all the excess water. Or you put 1 or 2 ice cubes on top of the pot once a week. This way, the watering is perfect. Hope you have luck with them !!!!!

Shannon I cook what we fancy not what British, and now Irish as I have .oved to Ireland, culture tells me to eat! We hate turkey so never buy it. At Christmas if we want sausage and mash then we will eat it! Good job there is just him and me now as we are totally estranged from our daughter and her son died over qq years ago. I cared for him for most of his 9 years of life, he was adorable. He had cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Keep doing what you do Shannon as it is a real social service. God bless you and your family.xx

Artificial flowers are orchids and the real orchids need a warm temperature and the flowers have been affected by the cold and killed off the flowers. Orchids need careful handling because they are tropical plants. Happy Easter to you all from the UK.
Orchids are so difficult to keep alive. I've had them a few times and they only made it about 6 months, lol. But surprisingly these ones started to look much better once they got inside. Do you have any tips on keeping them alive??
Even when the blooms stop, th plant is still alive. It needs indirect sunlight and watering sparingly ...once a week, from the roots.
@@amycross3418 place in a bowl of water for few minutes let the water drain orchids don't like it roots wet all the time.
@@rosemarywalker924 I think that's pretty much what I said, but my research says water through the roots in a bowl of water for a few minutes once a week, allowing it to drain before returning it to the outer pot.
@@bethanypeterson5557 I bethany I am not an expert got my information of the internet keep one alive for about 10 years. They need warmth ,water stand in bowl of water for a few minutes let water drain well my main tips and TH-cam has some excellent videos on orchid keeping

It's not some people's fault because they cannot save after a specific date so that they can get more and different products in to make more money. It does need to recycled in some form to the poor and needy. You are doing an awesome job of protecting our planet including to those of us that understand that we rely on it to live and should not waste what others need.

It's 80° here today in Atlanta only thing about Atlanta Georgia is if you get caught dumpster diving for the first time you go to jail they get you for loitering so I just have to enjoy you out send my my love to you and Miss Beth and your family

I started taking vitamin d capsule again, because I kept getting horrible colds, since I have been back on these I may get one cold a year if that.
