This was a good recap. My favorite timeline is 1,4,5 and 6. This timeline is more aggressive so I also like it but the story still a lot of confusing maybe is because I have watched them all and I get mixed up even though I know this is totally another story. Thank you for sharing.

In the original I think it's to hang up Bob...in the flashback in kills maybe its leftover rope he strangles the cop with? Micheal is an observer and a psychotic prankster/stalker. I think it's the one thing they haven't kept consistent in every subsequent film. 2018 and kills got it right in some ways with Micheals displays and Halloween themed kills. He has a deranged method to his madness. He literally takes Halloween to its most serious. He's all trick and the only treat you get is the macabre displays he creates. Cadaver candy. He doesn't need Spirit Halloween he is the Halloween Spirit in its most primal and fucked up form.

No, he's still the embodiment of evil that kills with purpose... ugh. Michael and Laurie being related was a silly plotline that was shoehorned in when Carpenter was forced to make a last-minute sequel and reason for the killings... ugh. Haddonfield wouldn't know what Michael looks like. I am not a fan of the Tivoli arc (though it gives the film a lot more decent social commentary), but most people in that mob only heard that it was him and followed the crowd. Even Tommy Doyle didn't get a good look, and he was leading them... ugh. Halloween 2, whilst a decent film, was not a film that Carpenter wanted to do, and introduced a lot of rubbish to the canon. Good idea skipping it, it wasn't necessary for any reason... ugh. It's a middling film, and people have to accept that in a realistic world, the main character is not always going to he the focus of attention. It makes sense from a narrative stand point for Laurie to get some time to herself to contemplate Michael, and come to the realisation that he is in fact the embodiment of evil... ugh.

In this timeline every film after the original and before Halloween 2018 is non canon. Laurie doesn’t have a daughter Jamie or a Son. Michael isn’t her brother. It’s a completely different universe where everything that happened after the original didn’t happen. Not that hard to understand

So? I never watched one of those movies. I just saw several trailers over the years. From what I've seen it's all the same stuff with barely any story. Now that it is supposed to end I am going to watch it, hence needing a recap of the little story there was.
