Yes sir! I am also waiting on a trade with this guy with a Nighthawk 10mm and I'm really hoping that works out. But I love the heavy tapered cone barrel. And the Tac Elite (or Nighthawk Predator) is really nice. Awesome gun!
Thx for the video! I have been looking at getting my first Wilson and trying to figure out the differences between the models. I know I can't go wrong, however, if I got a CQB I'd want a lot of the upgrades on the CQB Elite- trying to figure out if it would be a better value to get the CQB and add the options or go straight to the Elite. For my first, I'd want a govt model. I'm also very intrigued by NH. My LGS has a 5" Warhawk w/rail, blued for $3,400. Compared to MSRP and what I see on GB it seems like a fair price. The only hold up I have is the departure from the traditional looks of the 1911. All being said, I have 3 Baer's and I am in love with them. They are absolutely 100% reliable, perfectly tuned, and I can't imagine a more accurate 1911 from any maker. I just dig the cosmetic features of the other makers and want a more diverse collection. Now that you have a NH and Wilson, I see you favoring Wilson. Is it 100% personal preference or do you see any actual quality or production differences? I know it is a subjective question. I like your approach to the various guns, they seem very fair and you seem to favor quality as well as cosmetics.
will do, i am new to the channel and enjoy your vids. fellow CT shooter, i am a noob but i just ordered my first 1911 so i am psyched! thanks for the info you provide!
Awesome 1911!! I own a CQB since 2006. Have you heard anything about stainless steel and the possibility of galling. I have an Ed Brown Executive Carry and I recently heard of this galling issue.
Thanks very much and awesome to hear about your 06 CQB!!!! Reminds me of a cop I use to know that carried a Tactical Supergrade in gray/black, yeah a Supergrade! From 2007 up until 2014 and the thing had no more finish left on that thing! Gun had a lot of character. Yes there was a guy at the club that owned a Dan Wesson 10mm Razorback and his gun seized up after a few mags worth. Sent it back for galling. But as long as its lubed up things should be fine.
Great Review on the new beautiful acquisition, that's an awesome 1911! , love you videos, your real knowledgeable, keep them up, btw how many 1911's do you own? Or how about a 1911 collection video maybe in the future 👍🏼
Shes a beaut! Congrats man! The cool part about stainless is its really easy to do small touch ups on your finish. Theyankeemarshal has some vids on how to refinish stainless guns. 👍
That is one handsome firearm. Wilson really is on top of the 1911 game. It'd be great to see range footage but I can see why it might not be possible. My range wouldn't let me film.
They sure are! Yeah I'm not able to get anymore footage at the public ranges. I've been asked not to record? I tried 3 different public ranges and all 3 I "got caught" and was asked to not set up a camera. One range someone in the port near me complained to the RO saying I was being unsafe and dangerous. Another time some guy alleged I was recording his "hot girlfriend"!?!??! i tell ya. Clubs they just do not allow recording for TH-cam because it violates "by-laws". man can't win!
Yeah but way too expensive for a wheel gun. There was one guy at the club that owns the 4" and I have not been able to track this person down. I want to borrow it for a vid... but I don't know who this guy is so doubtful he'd let me use it for vid.
+reinvestorintally i will try. I was thinking of moving to carrying this but we shall see. Our state police tactical unit carries a model based off the American model. Although theirs do not say Guncrafter on the slide it's essentially one. I had a friend that carried the No Name for a while and I got to shoot it... very nice for sure
Ah! From the safety it looks just like a Kimber! LOL! Not! Just jesting. I have been very curious about that barrel setup for a very long time. It would be really cool if you did a video showing us how you take it down and what the internals (slide, barrel, link, etc) look like. Will be waiting for follow up videos- Congratulations!
+Matt Anderson LOL thanks! I'm hoping to do this trade with someone for their 10mm Nighthawk predator as it has the same set up but in a govt size. We'll see if that happens. I have done take down vids in the past but they seem to be boring. I have footage of the Hackathorn being field stripped but never uploaded it. Maybe I'll do a vid. Thanks.
TheOl1911 the reason I'd really dig seeing a take down video is that I hear the Wilsons/NH/Browns don't have tooling marks under the slide/frame/etc. I love my Baers but that has been one thing I've noticed are the tooling marks - not that they matter one single bit when you are looking at such a dependable and accurate 1911. More curiosity than anything else and your channel is right down my alley w/the revolvers/semi-customs. We share similar opinion on the Kimber "equation". For the life of me I have no clue why somebody would buy one of them when for the cost of two tanks of gasoline they could get an entry level Baer/ or even Dan Wesson! To each their own, I suppose! Thanks for your reply.
Beauty for sure. I want to hear more about that pistol. I enjoy it when you show us a new gun you just kinda say "Here is the gun>" Not two minutes of this is the manual(page through it to show the quality of the print and pictures) here is the beautiful plastic case they give you, here is the chamber flag, here is this lock etc, etc, etc. Sorry, just had to vent a bit I suppose. Look'in forward to Pt 2 Thanks. Would you consider taking it down on video ?
LOL - wow, I guess I'm not into dwelling on the "books and sh*t", heheheheh. But yes at times I do tend to ramble but... glad you enjoyed it! But do people really go through the case, CHAMBER FLAG?! hehehehe that is funny. The lock!? wow. Anyway stay tuned on the "range talk" vid..... another week or so. I could do a take down but I have done that in the past and not many people liked it. I actually have footage of a break down on the Hackathorn but I never uploaded it. Maybe I will.
Very nice, which holster are you going to be using? I have using my TT gunleather holster for my full sized wilson like you have for your Hackathorn and am really liking it.
yes... but right now don't have a railed 1911. Was hoping to change that with this guy that ordered a Springfield Pro Rail but, deal doesn't seem like its gonna happen...
Very nice! Yes, the machining craftsmanship needed for that flanged-cone barrel to lockup with the slide is clear. Magwell blending also really nice. Agree--the wood grips look great. Curious about how it field strips with the full-length guide rod. Also, I have a TH-cam newbie question. How do I email or PM to you? Google+ ? Have a few questions that I'd rather not ask 'publicly.'
I can take it down without using a paperclip but... normally I guess that is the proper way to do it. Maybe a vid.... Yes you can go to my channel page and click on the "About" tab - you should see a "Send Message" button.
yeah Wilson has been making this style of barrel for a long time. Heavy tapered cone barrel really works. The gun acts as if it is compensated. Very neat concept that works.
I don't describe firearms as "sexy" very often, but this is one of those occasions. You need to have some saxophone music streaming in the background... Now go beat the tar out of it and shoot it until it melts!
Good 1911! I personally have shot the Long Beach Operator and liked it a lot. Felt its a great 1911 for the money! I also got to shoot the Colt Combat Unit and that thing is awesome too.
NICE. I can afford a W/C but I choose not to. SS is nice until it becomes a safe queen due to scratching and you get tired of refinishing the frame and slide. I had another brand in SS and sold it unfired after installing many W/C controls on it.
Then tell them ,don't buy one and don't watch the vid. I do have one called the classic 2 tone .45 and there is nothing like it except maybe a nighthawk. Keep up the great work on You Tube,it is the the best.
Take that gun to that big box store and get them to give you a value on it and gram 11 bullets in it!!! But hide a camera on you and let's see how stupid those idiots are. Please...... it can be your chapter 2!
It's indeed a beautiful 1911. Congrats, and enjoy.
thanks man
Extremely BEAUTIFUL handgun...congratulations to you Sir.
thanks man!
Very Nice another great un bagging !! I like the stainless !!
thanks!!!
What a beauty! The barrel is pretty interesting.
+GunCollector007 thanks my friend!
I am drooling over that one. Very nice.
I just got a CQB, my first WC and it is incredible, even as a base level gun.
That Professional is sweet.
Thanks! Hey the CQB is no slouch at all!!!!! That is an awesome model. I knew a cop that carried one on the streets and it served him very well.
Ooh, that front end looks all business! A most excellent 1911 to add to the stable. Congrats on a nice acquisition!
+TheGunfighter45acp thanks! Let's hope it works!!!
Shock , drooling, Palms are sweaty, are you kidding me. Need I say more that is beautiful my friend. Best of luck with it . Thanks for sharing it .
+CZ 1always thanks my friend
Fantastic!!! I own it's big brother the Tac Elite. You will love how she shoots.
Yes sir! I am also waiting on a trade with this guy with a Nighthawk 10mm and I'm really hoping that works out. But I love the heavy tapered cone barrel. And the Tac Elite (or Nighthawk Predator) is really nice. Awesome gun!
Boy oh boy..........congrats my friend....I know you will enjoy it.......happy for you
Thanks my friend, stay tuned for the range talk vid...
That is a beautiful 1911. Looking forward to a follow up video.
thanks! stay tuned
That is a one sexy 1911 you got there, I hope it performs flawlessly for you.
+Josh Aguirre thanks! Stay tuned

As always looking forward for range footage and updates. I hope you'll have positive experience with this gun.
me too! stay tuned
i love stainless 1911's, and very neat barrel style. nice choice, i am jealous!
thanks! i haven't owned a stainless in so long. stay tuned for the range talk vid
will do, i am new to the channel and enjoy your vids. fellow CT shooter, i am a noob but i just ordered my first 1911 so i am psyched! thanks for the info you provide!
An action like butter.
yes very much so!!!!
Wow that thing is awesome.
+clemsonalum98 thanks let's hope it performs!
I've watched a lot of unboxings but this might be the first unbagging! Hehehe...
Wow, that's an interesting barrel design.
-Jen
unbagging, LOL... thanks!
Awesome 1911!! I own a CQB since 2006. Have you heard anything about stainless steel and the possibility of galling. I have an Ed Brown Executive Carry and I recently heard of this galling issue.

Is it sad I notice the bag more than the gun? That bag is just awesome looking. The pistol looks pretty good too.
Absolute beauty my friend!
+1yankeecowboy thanks my friend
This makes me want to buy my Stainless Dan Wesson Valor even more now. 😬 Congrats, beautiful 1911!
+Cameron Hubbz uh oh..... go for it!!! LOL. Thanks
damn that is a nice piece! I want one
They might not be old school cool, but I'll give Wilson this they make a damned pretty gun.
LOL thanks my friend!
Great video.Very cool looking gun, except for that cone on the end of the barrel.
Thanks! I'm still waiting on the Nighthawk 10mm deal to happen... that thing has a cone also, LOL. Not sure if that trade will happen...
Great Review on the new beautiful acquisition, that's an awesome 1911! , love you videos, your real knowledgeable, keep them up, btw how many 1911's do you own? Or how about a 1911 collection video maybe in the future 👍🏼

Thanks! good tips man! I'll have to chk his vid out
Wow - looks like perfection to me. Too beautiful to shoot :-)
it will be shot for sure...and carried! stay tuned
That is one handsome firearm. Wilson really is on top of the 1911 game.

Have you thought about any of the Korth revolvers? Those look really nice. Especially with the 9mm cylinder.
Yeah but way too expensive for a wheel gun. There was one guy at the club that owns the 4" and I have not been able to track this person down. I want to borrow it for a vid... but I don't know who this guy is so doubtful he'd let me use it for vid.
Please do a lot of videos on this pistol. Have you considered picking up a pistol from Guncrafter Industries?
+reinvestorintally i will try. I was thinking of moving to carrying this but we shall see. Our state police tactical unit carries a model based off the American model. Although theirs do not say Guncrafter on the slide it's essentially one. I had a friend that carried the No Name for a while and I got to shoot it... very nice for sure
very nice. id love to visit wilson and nighthawk they are very close to my home
I was thinking the same thing. I don't think he ever field strips them on video. I could be wrong though.
+Matt Anderson LOL thanks! I'm hoping to do this trade with someone for their 10mm Nighthawk predator as it has the same set up but in a govt size. We'll see if that happens.

uh oh...hey you only live once!
Nice gun.

rear sight is just a Wilson version of the heinie solid design... made to be able to rack off hard surfaces with one hand
Very nice, which holster are you going to be using? I have using my TT gunleather holster for my full sized wilson like you have for your Hackathorn and am really liking it.
Vid is coming up next.....you know what it is, LOL. And I'm very glad you like your TT!!!! Its the SlimXc right?
Yes, I didn't think I would need the reinforced mike's special.
AWSOME GUN, WHEN IS THE RANGE FOOTAGE COMMING?
unfortunately can't do anymore range footage... but i'll do a range talk, I know not the same but....
My goodness that's pretty!
LOL thanks!
Have you thought about running one of those Streamlight TLR-6 light/laser devices on one of your 1911s?
yes... but right now don't have a railed 1911. Was hoping to change that with this guy that ordered a Springfield Pro Rail but, deal doesn't seem like its gonna happen...
TheOl1911 the TLR6 for 1911s doesn't require a rail. Mounts around the trigger guard. 👍🏼
Very nice! Yes, the machining craftsmanship needed for that flanged-cone barrel to lockup with the slide is clear. Magwell blending also really nice. Agree--the wood grips look great.
Curious about how it field strips with the full-length guide rod.

Yes you can go to my channel page and click on the "About" tab - you should see a "Send Message" button.
to be more specific in what way are they better?
just a question but how are the vickers better than the etm's?
The tears have commenced amongst the gun jewelry crew
LOL - I no longer see those guys but yeah...
NASTY... you've got it all The Ol1911 ';-)
LOL I don' know about that... but I'm still hoping the Nighthawk 10mm deal goes through somehow. Waiting patiently....
Please see:
Korth PRS Firing and Warning
Never seen that sort of barrel on a 1911

Good 1911! I personally have shot the Long Beach Operator and liked it a lot. Felt its a great 1911 for the money! I also got to shoot the Colt Combat Unit and that thing is awesome too.
Thanks, Dude
nice.........
thanks!! how's yours doing?
there are much cheaper guns that have cone fit barrels including the bar-sto custom 1911/2011 guns
NICE. I can afford a W/C but I choose not to. SS is nice until it becomes a safe queen due to scratching and you get tired of refinishing the frame and slide. I had another brand in SS and sold it unfired after installing many W/C controls on it.
p.s. who would dislike this vid???
cedrik9 Basement dwelling gun haters.
man I got a ton of hate mail in the past 2 days. People seriously HATE the 1911 and Wilson Combat!!!
Then tell them ,don't buy one and don't watch the vid. I do have one called the classic 2 tone .45 and there is nothing like it except maybe a nighthawk. Keep up the great work on You Tube,it is the the best.

i tried to do it.... not with this gun but last year I tried it at Cabela's and was told to stop recording or I'd be escorted out....
TheOl1911
Thanks for your informative details on those nice guns. You know if a person can insure those ? Like a diamond ring?
