spent 4 fucking hours making a snap map everything worked perfect when I tested it... saved it and played it nothing worked no enemy waves no spawns just metal music played

Haha you think your late I figured this out yesterday and I’ve had doom for like 2 months Never New what snapmap was and never bothered to figure out because it takes two years to load
See if you can figure this out, its been bothering me, [can't figure it out]. A combo multiplier that increases the kill value per kill in the alotted combo time, if you get a kill in that time the time restarts, and you are awarded a multiple of 2 and increasing per kill in the combo time. If combo time runs out then the multiplier goes down to 1, and [i think i fugured it out just typing this] the kill value goes back to its default. I will upload a video of my map so far, and i'd like some help figuring this out :d
Also a minor issue I'm finding is that custom group encounters don't seem to want to be activated by certain criteria. I can't connect the activator from a control panel to the group encounter to start it.

Oh my gosh I am dumb😱 I clicked the place button but all I saw was like enemy spawn and stuff but I didn't realise that you could click RB on the Xbox controller and you could get a whole bunch of other stuff!!! Th@nk you so much!
I picked it up mainly for the single player, and then the multi-player dragged me in because it's amazing, and I haven't tried snapmap yet, but I'm gonna once I max everything on single player and get level 50 multi-player (25 already)
I can't seem to trigger the box trigger to start a wave event. Like you just walk through the box and trigger the enemies. Once the enemy is defeated I want the blue keycard to appear.
Am I the only one that actually thinks the map design in doom 2016 is better than in eternal? I cannot deny that eternal is better overall but the design in doom 2016 just give a better feeling to me. Mostly the facilities
@@thoji215 yeah, plus the uac facilities just give a creepy feeling of loneliness and dread. Because you KNOW, people used to recently inhabit these rooms, unlike the levels in eternal where it just seems to only have demon influence.
Can you make a tutorial for say player picks up a key card, then the door in the same module locks. Then demons spawn, when all the demons are dead the door unlocks. I've been trying to do this for my map but can't seem to get it to work. I don't want to use wave's or survival rooms or miniboss rooms but with my own custom selection of demons for specific rooms.

Also.. I'm trying to make a survival abunch of waves with 10 floors, and the final floor i'd like to add a huge beast. Now, on my first floor, I managed to lock down the door, it has a white film around it but it disappears within a certain time limit which i don't want, I want locked doors so players or player can't run backwards, there stuck.

I'm working on a Map to pay tribute to Doom 64, how do i make the door open when you past to one of the hallway. For instant, when you running to the hallway, on of the door open behind you and a Pinky pops out behind you. Also, how do I create a large text when you press a panel

hi can you recreate the original doom secrets with that editor? its all about turn a switch to open a distant door, or passing by a invisible switch on floor then again activate a door, and so...oh and you also need a counter on hud for it so you can have that satisfaction felling from finding it
I was trying to figure out how to make a co-op capture the flag wave survival game. Essentially you and another player are trying to bring a flag to a set point all while the AI is spawning waves of increasingly hard monsters to stop you. Once you get to 7 points you win. Can you help me figure out the logic to do this?
I have used a Demon spawn event but the demons spawn in the wrong location, they spawn behind the blocking boxes I put in... How can I set a spawn location??
Anyone knows how to do this? Multiple Triggers to activate something. For example, in order for me to open the door, I must kill all the demons/press multiple switches/collect items/etc. to open the door. However, EVERYTHING must be dealt with FIRST, not just one, in order to open the door. I know the sequencer output helps, but it does not give me the option I want
Snapmap is incredible. And once somebody makes a tool like snapmap, but with thousands of customizable objects. And character and enemy creations that are easy to use (which someone will eventually a bit like rpgmaker). Then the possibilities for people that cannot code but have great ideas in their heads will be endless. :)
in team map they give you only one base of 5 players ...sort of learned to duplicate that script over to a new base for other team. seems a long way around to do things ...unless there a room but i didnt see one
I don't know if this is possible but if you can figure this out you should make a tutorial i was trying to make a single type of map to mess around with and noticed it only allows you to use 2 weapons so if you figure out on how to make it so you can have more than 2 weapons that would be awesome ( i get this is ment more for multiplayer maps but i'm mainly gonna use it to make custom single player inspired maps for fun)
Darrell Bowman i think you misunderstood i know how to place weapons i just don't know if it's possible to equip more than 2 weapons at a time with snapmap cause you drop 1 if you already have 2 and i know it really isn't that big of a deal but i want to make more of single player type of maps
+7lightsaber69 I believe in the Game Map settings under a certain tab has the icon like a gamepad where you can enable 'keep all weapons'. I don't remember no , but I'll let you know soon.

I agree. I like the blood and firey, destroyed setting of the UAC and hell, more than Eternal's multicolour landscape. It resembles hell much more.

You would need to make it so that the door stays locked after the lockdown, and the door to the next floor is unlocked, as shown in the video.

You could use a gore nest to start the event. What I would do is just make it spawn in a bunch of enimies with a boss.
Is there a way to make outdoor areas in Snapmap?

Use a trigger then tie the trigger to given enemies that are "not visible"
