Have seen this boat moored up where I live in handsacre by bridge 58 on the Trent and Mersey canal as a friend is a Portsmouth fan took a photo of it for him.maybe I’ll see it moored up here again good luck with refitting the boat.
I went to uni in Pompey, many, many years ago (so yay!) Interested to learn how you came to getting a boat, and what you plan to do with it (live aboard/ occasional, keeping it in a marina / continuous cruising etc). I've only been to the Oracle in Reading as a shopper, I'd love to do it on a boat some day
Morning guys , just wishing all the very best in your endeavour together with your beautiful boat , I'll be watching from now on, I'm getting the bug😂😂
Is it easy to find to place to moor the boat long term and is it expensive? t looks like an great way to go on adventures. I have heard of people living on them year around. From your narration it does not appear that is what you are planning on doing. Regardless, this looks like the first day of many future adventures.
Finding somewhere to keep the boat is not that hard. The closer you are to London the more expensive it is and it is harder to find a mooring. The northern canals are a lot cheaper than down south. Outside London in the south it is roughly £3k per annum, 2 or 3 times that in central London depending where. We have bought this boat for pleasure cruising. We still have day jobs that are not conducive to living aboard, but one day it is a dream of mine to do this as many others have done.

Thanks for your lovely comment. We are very excited to see what adventures we have on our narrowboat.
