Bro rise is probably my favourite. It’s an interesting origin and liked the dynamic between Caesar and James Franco
Yeah. I feel like Rise doesn't get enough praise as it should. War and Dawn have more emotional depth and are dark but still I think Rise is pretty underrated in a franchise that is also highly underrated.
Same!!!! It was amazing! All were awesome but seeing the progression of Caesar and how it all began was amazing! I watched it in preparation for the new one and it still holds up really well.

@@fearfulclan2007 I won't say the worst. But the weakest for me in the trilogy. But it's still way better than Kingdom. I found Kingdom to be decent. Great action and characters but very weak storytelling. The pacing is way too irregular and the narrative is disinteresting. While War has a really strong narrative along with emotional depth.

@@fearfulclan2007 there were great aswell but in my opinion not as good as the ones I listed 🫡
My ranking:
4) Proximus - 7/10 He has an impressive aura of charisma and Kevin Duchard nails it with his performance. But he barely gets any screentime and any fight scenes. The wonderful day was a good entry scene but that these are just it. The movie has a lengthy runtime but does not develop his character.
3) Steven Jacob's - 8/10 He is pretty hateable because of how money minded he is and does not care about the apes or about the risks of the A113 being exposed to the world if more ape trials are done. He gets his karma by getting killed by Koba.
2) Colonel - 9/10 He is super hateable because of how merciless and ruthless he is. He had a pretty compelling backstory too as well as a satisfying defeat. Being robbed of his human skills because he abandoned the human qualities of compassion was very poetic.
1) Koba - 9/10 One of the best villains of cinematic history. Toby Kebbel nailed it with his performance.

I can’t be the only one who still has Rise as my favorite
Even though Dawn is my most favourite I agree that Rise doesn't get enough praise. It lacks the emotional depth and the amount of action of War and Dawn but I think that is what makes it great. It's very grounded.
It's easier to think Dawn and War to be great movies because of dark tones and action but I think a grounded sci fi movie like Rise should be praised.

Dawn was absolutely the best film. It was basically a tipping point for either a the Apes ruling or humanity’s survival. In the end no one really won both sides lost and the War begun. I love how we got to see the effects of the virus and what it did to the world, I love how we got to see how the last remnants of humanity coped with these Apes evolving more and more.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with this franchise and it is absolutely one of the greatest trilogies ever made and modern cinema done right

I actually love kingdom of leaves and rise, but for a feeling I actually like them both equal and I think rise is very underrated. I think it’s one of the best ones. I just think it’s really good with the introduction and really good acting.
Watched the Caesar trilogy last Friday for the first time, and my friend told me to keep him in the loop, I got to finishing Dawn, and told him I’d put Dawn at 1. and Rise at 2., however, I just couldn’t agree with it, it I had to, sure, but they’re just so good and clean, by the time I finished War, I flat out told him: “noooooo,” I wasn’t doing this, it was just too perfect
tbh war for the planet of the apes was absolutely incredible and might be my favourite one
