The waterproof case is available but an extra purchase Im afraid. I've just reviewed the case so stay tuned as the video is coming soon!!
You can use any BlueTooth headset - it doesn't need to be a Sena headset. In fact, when I review the above waterproof case I use a standard Jabra bluetooth earpiece and the audio quality is great. Unfortunately in this video it wasn't so good but a firmware update has made a massive difference - again, stay tuned, more tests to come shortly!!

Can you do a comparison of the gopros mic and the backpacks mic?
So, i think the audio isn't HD but what i like best is the ability to record audio along with charging both the gopro and the bluetooth audio pack while still recording video and audio. This pack also allows for better flexibility rather than running wired mics all over. I use my Cardo packtalk with 3 others and the recording is clear. The only down side is if I have the mic turned on all I hear is my motorcycle and not me. But the world isn't perfect and isn't meant to be. I am happy with it. Great video BTW
I got one of this, while charging and recording there is a lot of digital noise on the recorded audio while charging.

your review shows how the pack has a null connector. Only the usb connector is functional. In theory, you can use a usb cable, to remote line this device, AND use a battery backpack. Or if you have the silver 4, it LOOKS, like you can remote line the audio backpack, and still view the screen. any input on this?

Can i still filming/recording audio, when i charge the battery of the audio pack? So i put a usb cable in it, and then i have unlimited time of recording?
So I recently got the Bluetooth audio pack for my GoPro and I've run into a problem. I want to record external audio but I've noticed that my voice echoes because I have a chin mount. Is there anything I can do about this without having to resort to full headset sound only? Also, I don't have a Sena headset so I'm unable to use UltraHD voice mode which is a reason why I don't want to resort to headset sound only.
Is this compatible with the hero 6+?
i can connect the pack to my sena but then when i try connecting my sena to my friends it disconnects the pack, or i will start with the group intercom and both sena's be connected then the pack cuts us out of the call and connects to one of our senas, how do you make it possible to talk and have it record both senas and not only one?

I believe you can use just one Sena headset as it acts as the link between others and the GoPro Audio Pack.
help haha guys do you know if its possible to get the audio if you recorded with the sena backpack on but the mic off? i watched my video back and its just quiet no sound because i didnt have the sena backpack hooked up to anything via bluetooth at the time.. :( thanks

so the reason my audio sounds like its inside the helmet, is because i only have the POWER switch on, so according to you, if i turn the power ON and the mic On itll record my motorcycle, AND my voice, and since the mic is infront of me in my helmet u should hear me crystal clear instead of helmet sounding audio...
Hold up. Where did you get a 3+ skeleton case? Or did you just get a reg 3+ case & cut the hole yourself? Ive looked everywhere for 1 & ended up buying a 3 skeleton case.
It would have been nice if sena used the GoPro interface so standard cases could be used. The USB to USB connection on the side is a bit of a negative. Maybe v2 will fix this issue.
Ive received a Sena waterproof housing which works wonderfully well - watch this space!

Using the built in microphones, do you know how well they capture loud music such as a concert where there will be a lot of bass?

I Love your videos and i have 1 question. Is it worth spend more money on a SanDisk Extreme card than a Lexar card for my Hero3 Black
The Extreme cards are the fastest around - but get any from GoPros recommended card list and you probably won't notice too much of a difference between them ;o)

I could be wrong but I believe on the Sena site it says that the Bluetooth device is NOT able to be used while charging. I have not tested this but even though you are able to charge the GoPro and still use it I do not believe the audio pack will be functional while charging. Also, users that intend to use this on a motorcycle with a Sena headset will be disappointed to learn that listening to music via Bluetooth connection to your phone is not possible while connected to the audio pack. To my knowledge there is no firmware update to fix this.

Sounds like the audio is not very good.
All audio on my video's is done with a mic and cable, much better than what your test sounded like.....
How much is the system?
Thats probably down to the Expand headset as I needed to update the firmware for the new 'CD Quality' audio (I'll create an updated review with audio sample now) but the better your bluetooth headset the better the audio - i.e. its more dependent on your headset then the audio pack itself.
Lets hope so, beacuse 100m range is interesting.

WOW ! This is REALLY interesting. I was at an Auto auction last week recording with my HERO 4 on a KAM.PRO handle and ended up with a LOT of camera handling noise starting and stopping recording, etc. I was thinking maybe I needed an external mic away from the camera to eliminate all that clicking and clunking noise . Just a couple of questions:
1.) Have you tested the Bluetooth range from their headset to the camera?
2.) Have you noted how long the Bluetooth pack holds a usable charge?
3.) How long does it take to recharge the Bluetooth pack?
4.) Does the Bluetooth pack have a replaceable battery?

This setup is easy and clean, but the audio is 1990's celephone quality. No good if you are a youtuber like me and people expect NICE sound!

GoPro needs to disclose the pinout, on the rear port! The concept of utilizing the Mini USB port, although usable isn't ideal and requires the use of special housings/frames. Bad Form GoPro!!!
Good vid but how much is this? Everyone who has reviewed this talks about how awesome it is but doesn't mention the price. To me it sounds like sh*t. They need to seriously step up the audio quality. Especially when multiple ppl are hooked up.
The waterproof case should come with it. Theres the real niche for this. Have your camera completely safe from water & still record audio. Can I hook up a reg bluetooth headset like the one I use for my phone?
How much does this weigh? Not only this but you have to buy a bluetooth mic, more weight. Put all that on your head for awhile. Its cool but it has a long ways to go. And if GoPro was smart they would add this to their next model. They for some reason sell a mic adapter with a bulky head but not mic...
$130 for the backpack that includes the waterproof case. And 4 years later this is still the best solution lol. The new GoPro's have that annoying HUGE GoPro mic adapter that is a pain in the ass.

Wow that audio is TERRIBLE. I wonder if it's just the mic you are using or the Sena system itself. It sounds like you are talking on a phone.
Thats how it is via bluetooth. But why does his mic in the car suddently get better because he turns on the ambient mics on, that are outside? Makes no sense
Sena is garbage. I have the GP10. It freezes / crashes my Hero 4. The warranty replacement unit also crashes / freezes my Hero 4 with the bonus feature of static / popping noises on the sound track. Don't waste your money with this. Or at least if you want to try it, make sure you have a money back guarantee. I bought mine direct from Sena - out of luck, out of pocket.
