Aw man. I really liked Superman for the Atari. Man, 1980, maybe 1979 my grandma had the 2600 and that superman game. Simple but fun. 💯

the opening scene of this movie is so insane it's my favorite superhero movie scene lol. before I saw this as a kid my brother tricked me by telling me 3 had brainiac and bizarro in it and when we went to the video store and got it I was a little pissed because literally all they had to do was call the machine brainiac and I would have been content. he told me after he'd never seen it he just knew it had a computer and an evil superman. Lol I do like it more than 4 and in recent years as an adult I think this movie is extremely underrated. Everything in smallville is awesome, Pryor is pretty good for a kid's movie and evil superman rules. the bad guy isn't very threatening though

I've always looked at Superman III as a pitch perfect example of the lesser known Mort Weisenger era B side Superman stories. Which is by and large the vast majority of Superman stories is all odd filler stuff like Superman III.

@@Plxlinixy yeah, it does definitely have that kind of vibe to it. the biggest compliment I have for the first 3 movies is that each in unique ways feel like they were actually looking at some of the comics to make them. the older I get the more I respect them for sort of doing different things with each of them.

I wonder if the "last son of Krypton' arc of action comics that Richard Donner co-wrote with Geoff Johns around 2006 was originally planned as a treatment for a movie.

Me and my best friend were 2nd and 3rd in line for the first Superman the Movie , December of 78. Our 10 year old minds were blown away ! I liked it as much or more than Star Wars because I had been a Superman fan before I was conscious of anything. Thought Superman 2 was better then came 3. Well by then me and my buddy were into girls and I bought an AC/DC album at the mall where Superman 3 was playing, they had problems with the film, it kept getting stuck, we were stoned also, and the other people in the theater were yelling at the projectionist ! He wanted to go crawl in a hole because when it finally got going again, some black thing was obstructing the view of the film ! We laughed and laughed, we watched probably 90 percent of it , we were in our early teens so everything was funny with weed involved !!!!😂😅🤣ha ha

I loved Superman 3. Not my favorite Superman movie, but I like watching it. I, along with Batman And Robin, Superman 4, Superman Returns, Spawn and the Cathy Lee Crosby Wonder Woman and The '70s Captain America movies and the 1990 Captain America movie, is one of my favorite so bad it's so good movie.

@@Akhnatom I agree about Batman and Robin being well intentioned and I love, love, love the set set pieces. I feel good wen I watch that movie and really, Isn't that what we want when watching superhero movies? Does everything have to a soul crushing experience? My favorite Batman cartoon is Batman The Brave and The Bold and I don't care who knows it. To me, Batman and Robin was a good movie. It's not a serious Batman movie and that's why it's bad for those who balance the darker take, which, for the most part, I do, but every now and then, you need Adam West and Hoerge Clooney to balance out the Ben Affleck and Robert Pattison and Michael Keaton and Cristian Bale.

@@Akhnatom I love the episode where Superman , Batman, and Wonder Woman were in it and they fought each others' foes and the epic battle with Equinox. ANd the episode with Monguel is good as well.

@@Akhnatom Amen. Any Aquaman episode is good. I think Aquaman was the breakout character in that series.

I think Deathtrap (1982) would be good TRS material. Christopher Reeve, Michael Caine directed by Sidney Lumet.

Superman IV was supposed to be huge, massive budget epic script a return to form. But the studio took too many hits and the budget was slashed and slashed and the script cut and the final edit stripped down. I still love that movie and the behind the scenes is great history.

The return to Smallville and the evil.Superman is top notch. The rest of the film is Batman TV show stuff, but the scene with Richard Pryor in the large foam cowboy hat cracks me up 😂
