The original manga was done in four-panel chapters, which is why it seems so much happened in the episode. I've been told it makes adaptations more difficult when writers try to make those kind of manga into anime, but they've done a GREAT job so far.
I read the manga for tomo chan as it was releasing, and it's still mind-blowing to me that it's being adapted. And even better, the adaptation is really good!
It's only natural that Junichiro has been friends with Tomo for a long time. Instead of realizing that Tomo is a girl, he treats her like a male friend🤣

Well that show is kinda funny... i saw the trailer on yt last year and after i knew it was airing this year .. well lets say i read the whole thing in one weekend it has "200+ chapters" but is would be .. well lets say 1-2 volumes ... because it has chapters who go with 20 pages ..or has 'chaptes ' made of one page... sou roubd about sth between 12-18 episodes could be enough too wrap it up. But ... a cute girl and its a ...tomboy... i mean 1 romkom every 5 years for meXD ... is kinda nice
the reason why everything is happening so fast is because it's based off a 4 panel comic series where each "chapter" is literally 1 page with 4 panels and is a comedy. there are ongoing stories in the manga but a lot of segments are squished into 4 panels.
I know why you are feeling like a lot has happened because it's manga consist of 1 PAGE per 1 CHAPTER that's why it feels like it's been cut off from mid
