And the question about wick, why everyone is leaving that long wick while pouring the wax if any way we cut it in the end? I always make it smaller so I dont waste that much of a wick. What do you think? :)
Making them shorter requires more work when you make volume (100 at the time) because you need to recentre, etc… so it is more efficient for me. Keeping length at the top of the candle can be to add a tag or to do a pretty knot to finish the look.

Do you have to put these silicone molds in over first @150’ for 5-10 minutes before using? Also do you have to put in a release in the mold so candle comes out easily?

Hello, i make bubble candles for christmas but some of them have a thin white layer around, so that the color faded or bleached kind of. I think it‘s because i don‘t clean them enough. Usually i use very hot water, sometimes with soap but this didn‘t really help. When my molds are dry, you can see a really a small layer of white wax powder in the molds. What can i do? How do i clean them right? Some of my candles looking good and some really don‘t but only because of these white layers or they crumble a little bit off but only on the side. I pour my wax at 75-80 Celsius and i use rapeseed wax. Maybe you have some tips! Thank you!❤️
These will melt (part of the wax will burn). What you refer to is a dripless candle (no melting wax). I have heard of those but I have never tried them.

Bubbles are down to temperature and mould complexity. If you pour too cold bubbles tend to get trapped. I recommend tapping gently from the outside of the mould
I would not recommend using the same mould for other craft as there will be wax residue as well as FO / Dye depot on the mold. As per the lifetime, yes there will be a point we’re you need to replace it but if you are careful you can make hundreds of candles with the same mould.

You can’t speed up the curing process. Once your mold is pierced you do not need to poke it anymore but use a needle next time to pass the wick to avoid the mold getting too big

Hi, any tips on how to prevent spillage at the bottom of the mold? I made one candle and it turned out great, but with the second one, 1/3 of the wax seeped through the bottom of the mold.
Three potential issues: 1) You are not using the correct wax type, by the sound of it it is too soft for pillar candle. 2) if you are using pillar wax maybe your temperatures are off. 3) your molds need cleaning

If using a soy pillar blend, how long should these candles burn? And how much wax should remain at the end? My candle has a nice flame and is burning inwardly like it should, but I'm about 3 hours in and a lot of the exterior candle still remains. I'm not sure if I have a big enough wick... I'm using a 24 ply flat braided wick and I have a bubble mold that's similar in size to yours in the video. The wick said it's meant for pillars with diameters 2-3 inches (my bubble mold is exactly 2 in) but I'm not sure if because this pillar wax is soy-based if it might need a bigger wick?
I would say you need a bigger wick. You want it to burn inward but not tunnel too much which sounds like it is what’s happening in your example. It also depends if you are using fragrance and or colour.

@@a.zainab8363 464 is a container wax so it is not a wax i would recommend using for bubble candles. Maybe check your thermometer and also your room temperature.

I just made a candle with a shorter wick and it fell into the candle. Maybe that’s why? Idk? New here 😅

Yes, you can but generally ready made wicks come long in size

No, you can’t glue them back together. If they are unscented and with no dye you can melt them and pour a new batch.

I used to apply vaseline inside my molds with a soft brush. As I recently buyed the silicon mold, I'll try to do the same! ;)

It depends on the wax you are using, if you are using colour or fragrance oil. All of these will impact the wick size.

Hello, it could be because: 1) you used too much fragrance oil 2) you used a container wax rather than a pillar wax.

Do not spray grease! You need a 100% silicone spray. Spray the moulds directly prior to pouring.

Sounds like it could be a wick issue. Either the wrong wick or not properly centered

You need to test different wick size and monitor the burns.

Your wax is probably not for for purpose. Try a different brand making sure it is for pillar candles.
