You had me at Gnomes! I watched your entire process, subscribed, and gave you a Thumbs Up! Your pleasant voice and mannerisms allowed me to watch while resting from a difficult morning. Thanks for the great Gnome idea and creation process. I will definitely try these one day soon.
Wow...great video. These little guys are still so popular and now a much easier way to hand build them. Thanks again for all your tips I will be trying them out!
I'm making gno.We for our home pottery sale in December....so I got me a wooden pizzzel (sp?) and it makes the job so much easier! Thanks for the great tip!
Thank you for sharing your tips for creating this delightful gnome. Your teaching method was clear and concise. Happy Holidays! Warm Regards, Martina 😊
I loved your gnomes and immediately went to the studio and made three, well after I went to three craft stores looking for a pizelle and other tools i didn't have.
I just found you on TH-cam and I’m loving your tutorials! I would love to know where you found that tea spout’ tool. Thats a game changer for making gnomes!
I was looking for something that I could quickly make to put on a Found Art Trail and I think these would be perfect. I could make a few small ones in no time and nestle them along the walking trail. Thank you so much for the idea and the informative video!
Omg I was just saying to my friend that I want to make a Christmas gnome. I’m definitely going to buy the tool it makes things so much easier. 😊 have a great day
@@hobblecreekpottery I made one of these last night. Such a quick and easy project. He’s not perfect for my first one but I’ll definitely make another one.. thank you Tiffany 😊🥰
Love your tutorials ! Is there anyway you could post printable copies of your blue triangle templates? For some strange reason I cannot get the templates I make to work.
I love these guys, I’ve made 6 already; have you any other tutorials ? I’ve seen the ghosts and witches, I find your teaching so easy to understand. I would love to make other things you have made.😀
Hello, I’m trying to catch what you saying about the blue triangle material that you are using but I’m afraid I can’t hear what your saying, it sounds like crape form, can I plz ask what they are thank you.
I have made three gnomes and they are drying, this is the second time that I have viewed your post and I did see something that I should do easier. I am going to watch Tree trunk houses and then witches. These are for future events. The three that I made had taken me 3 hours. No doubt as I get into the rhythm of making witches, gnomes, and tree houses I will become a little faster. Do you say how you glaze these beauties and do you use "Duncan, Mayco, or another brand?
You’re my newest favourite channel. I love your work and that pizzelle is a fantastic new addition to my tool kit! How can I tag you on stuff I make inspired by you?
Thank you so much for this video. Mine are drying now but I have a few questions. Do you fire first and then glaze and fire again? How do I keep the stamping to show through the glaze?
@@hobblecreekpottery I have a kiln and want to try the clay you fire. Not sure which I will use though.I have taught ceramics for years. Got out of it but now I want to play again. Love your videos. Keep up the good work
I don't have the template, but it's just a triangle with the bottom rounded a bit. You can make the template any size you want. The one I used in the video is 6x6x6.
I'm not tech savvy enough to figure out how. I cut it out of craft foam, just making a pizza slice. Pretty easy. Cut a bunch of different slices from a big circle and see which one works best for you. Good luck.
Your clear instructions inspired me to try! Thanks so much!
Loved it! Thanks for Tutorial!❤🇨🇦👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Loved your teaching. I use an eyeliner brush to glaze tiny spots like eyes. They work better any little paint brushes I have tried.
Great tip!

Love your gnomes!
These are so cute! I'm a potter north of Seattle. We have the opposite problem here. Plenty of humidity. Things can sometimes take a while to dry.
I'm also in Utah and now it is 16 outside. Burr So relaxing to watch you. But the artist in me says give this a try. Thank you.
Finished two gnomes with the help of your tutorial. Thanks so much!

I found it on Amazon. The link is in the description. Yes, total game changer. Gl as f you found me!
My mom 92yo loves gnomes . Going to try to make her a Christmas set and think I can use a sugar cone for form since I don’t have the wooden tool
I followed your instructions and made a gnome! It was fun and easy. Now if I can only figure out how to post a picture of it. 😊
Lol, it's easier on Instagram. So glad my tutorial helped you make your first gnome. ❤️
I'm back to your gnomes. Love them. what cone do you fire them to in bisque and what glaze do you use and fire to for completion. I just love them
I bisque fire to c cone 04, then glaze fire 5/6. For glazes, I like celadons if I have texture.
Absolutely adorable!! I am inspired! Thankyou!
We live down in southern Utah and you got that right low humidity in the summer and winter is just as bad indoors.
Lol, so true! And right now, nothing dries out!
You are so funny!!! I don’t like goobers in my man’s beard either!!! Lol!!
Hehehe
very cute. I got the tool so I'm going to try making gnomes and ghosts.
You'll do amazing!
THIS WINS THE INTERNET TODAY! I am so excited to try this!!! THANK YOU!!

Best ideas for keeping it simple but with room to customize for the season!
Exactly! Great jumping off point. Thanks for watching.
Lovely! Thanks ❤
Love this....can you show a picture of the gnomes glazed? I would love to see how you did it. Thank you!
I did show the results in a kiln opening. You can check them our here: th-cam.com/video/wgsFHFxpdNo/w-d-xo.html

Wow you are talented... what are the tools called the one you roll the clay around wow wo derful
Thank you. The tool is a pizelle and there is a link in the description.
Hermoso ! muchas gracias
magnifique ❤
just out of curiosity would these techniques work with polymer clay; I have no way of firing regular clay.
I have made three gnomes and they are drying, this is the second time that I have viewed your post and I did see something that I should do easier. Keep at it, they do get faster, lol. I use whatever glazes or underglazes, I have on hand. You can go crazy glazing them. 😀
You’re my newest favourite channel. I love your work and that pizzelle is a fantastic new addition to my tool kit! How can I tag you on stuff I make inspired by you?
I'm instagram and Facebook under Hobble Creek Pottery. So thrilled you like the videos. It's new to me but I'm having fun with it.
What kind of clay do you use?
For these, I used Bmix.
Thank you so much for this video. Mine are drying now but I have a few questions. Do you fire first and then glaze and fire again? How do I keep the stamping to show through the glaze?
Yes, bisque fire then glaze. I use celadon glazes that highlight texture. Celadons are great for these fellows.
how do you keep the clay from sticking to the tool. I am going to use air dry clay
I don't know about air dry clay. I know it's sticky, so maybe try corn starch? My stoneware doesn't stick to wood. Good luck.
💕💕💕💕
Esta pasta ou massa é cerâmica ??
Do you ever use air dry clay for your projects? Are these gnomes then fired and painted?
If you use air dry clay, built a support with tinfoil. These are stoneware and fired with glaze.
Thanks! Where can you get the cone tool?
I listed the link in the description. Good luck.
What type of clay are you using. Hight fire or low?? What cone?
Cone 5/6, so midfire.
@@hobblecreekpottery Oh ok, could these be done with low fire?
@Alice Keiser Most certainly. I've even had people share with me their gnomes made with air dry clay.
@@hobblecreekpottery I have a kiln and want to try the clay you fire. Not sure which I will use though.I have taught ceramics for years. Got out of it but now I want to play again. Love your videos. Keep up the good work

@@patriciahudson7163 Anazon has them. I believe the link is in the description.
Where did you get the tea spout wooden tool?
Amazon and there is a link in the description.
Ooooo how I wish I had a kiln
Are you using air dry clay?
I'm using stoneware here that requires it to be fired in a kiln. But I've heard from others who have made them our of air dry clay.
@@hobblecreekpottery thank you!
Thank you for sharing! Do you have the template for the gnomes you can share?
I don't have the template, but it's just a triangle with the bottom rounded a bit. You can make the template any size you want. The one I used in the video is 6x6x6.
Are these 4x 4 x4 triangles?
They are 6x6x6. I use this triangle pattern for many fun things. 😀

Great tutorial, Easy to follow. Well done. Have you got the link to where you got your pattern rollers from.
They are MKM rollers. Check out Sanbao transfers. On their drop down menu they have a bunch of rollers. Good luck.
Sorry, didn't check my message for spelling accuracy! Duh!
Where do you get your clay
I buy my clay from Patty's Ceramic in Provo, Utah. They sell Aardvark.
