    The sounding stone in Canada has Ducan glazes and has very black just checked, A garlic press works great for making hair

    What Cone firing do you use for your glaze firing on these? any particular glaze that you use? I want to use glaze that does not run. Thank you

    🇨🇦👋 I have been binge watching again. Time well spent. QUESTION: Where can I find the PDF of your triangulate bases? Tried making my own, but it always to come out wrong. Help please - point me into the right direction.

      I haven't made one yet. I think I need to. But let me talk you through it. It's a 6x6x6 triangle with a curved bottom. That's it. 😀

    I am new here is this clay air dry or have to be baked?

      This is stoneware clay that is fired to a cone 5. But you could try it with air dry clay.

      It's just a triangle measuring 6 inches tall and 6 inches at the bottom. Really easy to make your own.

    Since the Duncan black you used on your witches is no longer available, maybe Amaco celadon Charcoal C5 might work as a substitute.

      Yes! My old studio was in a basement utility room. I'm grateful everyday to have this space to work out of now.

    These are absolutely stunning! As for losing what’s right in front of me, I’m very familiar with that vision thing. It’s called RP (retinitis pigmentosa). 😂
    I have a retinal disease (RP) & an optic nerve defect. I’m always losing stuff. Sometimes I get downright frustrated when I’ve lost something. My daughters or husband will say, ‘It’s right there at your hand!’ Although, that’s not as bad as my losing things when they’re right in my hand. LOL! Someone once described having RP as, ‘Seeing a pencil on the floor but tripping over an elephant to get to it.’ Only for me, I don’t see more than a few inches away. My peripheral vision is severely lacking too.

    is the Duncan glaze you used on the witch Envision very black?

      Yes! Love that glaze since it breaks white over texture.

      @@hobblecreekpottery would Marco’s Black Ice be a proper equivalent, you think? Also, that luster finish is beautiful, can you please advise the product, I’m super new to clay building and I would love to recreate one of your ladies! Those finishes on the two you show are just beautiful. Thank you so much for the tutorials, they were so easy to follow and a lot of fun to watch, you’re a great teacher, btw!

      @@lisabroussardjanuska6774 I've never used Marco's so can't advice on the results. The luster is mother of pearl. It's amazing on black.good luck with the glazing. I need to find another way to glaze mine too as I can't get Duncan's very black anymore.

    What size heart cookie cutter did you use?

      For the hair? It's one I've had for decades. The heart has one side longer than the other so it works great for creating movement.
