Hi James, i'm a big Reggae fan. One of my favorite basslines is a song from the Reggaeband DubInc. The number is called Djamila. Lucky Dube is also great with the song Together as One. And i have a lot more Reggae with outstanding basslines. Johnny be good from Peter Tosh is al so Super Cool.
I am not 100% convinced there is a Dflat in the I Shot the Sheriff bassline. It sounds a little bit strange. I certainly can't hear Aston Barrett playing a Dflat on the studio version. Anyway nice video.
It’s funny I’m listening back to the studio version and he’s playing a defending octave, 5th, root pattern. So I must have got it from a different version. Interesting! I’ll try and hunt down the version…

This video repurposed from a few years ago. I need to check the source material. I’ve seen a few comments to this affect and I’m reasonably sure I must have used different versions of the song or the like. My transcription skills are decent so I’m reasonably sure that’s the reason why.
