    James at 2:27 when you pluck "A" at your E string there is some buzz the same at 2:44

      So that was a resonant frequency making the acoustic guitar to my right vibrate... I didn’t think the mic would catch it as clearly as it did. I moved the guitar after the first riff...

    NATURAL MYSTIC WAS MY FIRST REGGAE BASS LINE BUT I REALLY LOVE ( POSITIVE VIBRATION) the Babylon by bus version.

      @@hatersareus4008 It most certainly is. The emphasis is on the 2 and the 4. And, if it's from Bob Marley, then it obviously is either reggae or ska. And it's not fast enough to be ska.

    Hi James, i'm a big Reggae fan. One of my favorite basslines is a song from the Reggaeband DubInc. The number is called Djamila. Lucky Dube is also great with the song Together as One. And i have a lot more Reggae with outstanding basslines. Johnny be good from Peter Tosh is al so Super Cool.

    I am not 100% convinced there is a Dflat in the I Shot the Sheriff bassline. It sounds a little bit strange. I certainly can't hear Aston Barrett playing a Dflat on the studio version. Anyway nice video.

      It’s funny I’m listening back to the studio version and he’s playing a defending octave, 5th, root pattern. So I must have got it from a different version. Interesting!
      I’ll try and hunt down the version…

    Love your videos James, and your playing ability makes me want to throw all my basses in the nearest skip. But that tone you have there is like the 'Anti Reggae' tone. Sort it out mate. Tone off, neck pup 3/4 , bridge pup (if you have one) 0%-10%

      I need to check the source material.
      I’ve seen a few comments to this affect and I’m reasonably sure I must have used different versions of the song or the like.
      My transcription skills are decent so I’m reasonably sure that’s the reason why.

    Your bass lines for "is this love" is wrong. Its different on the record. I think the others are wrong as well
