The pumping bass will draw out flaws from me! In fact I would do it with a pick. Must try to work on the pumping fingers next year. I think volume and the angle the fingers glance off the string and the distance the fingers move is something I am going how to figure out.
Don't think Steve Harris would call a galloping bass line "disco"! What's the reason you double up on the index finger rather than continuously alternate? I can't work out the benefit and it's not economical. Could even do the Billy Sheehan 3 finger technique. Best crimbo song is "Bollocks to Christmas" by The Business.
