For a first ride up a mountain, you did great. Your left thumb is out of position for the entire video, if it's an injury np but if not and you're trying to get better, address that. Some of the places that you slowed to cross an obstacle can be addressed by standing and doing a wheelie/weight transfer. Gloves as the other guy mentioned, I recommend looking for a glove that has a 1 piece fabric palm, stitching and folds bister when offroad riding (that style is fine for highway riding) Riding with others really helps push your skills, I'd recommend finding a group of ADV riders and seeing if there's a group ride you can join. Keep having fun
It looks like you are getting ready to use the highbeams or something with your left thumb, I would have my left hand like you have your right hand wrapped around the handles instead, at least that is how I like to ride. I also agree with earlier comments that a lot of parts here would be much better standing up. You get much more control while at the same time you see more what is happening in front of you and at the front wheel which is important riding off-road like this. I think you have some fine roads to ride here, keep it up
@@SportsPhotographerKTMRider I turned off the ABS and traction control on my 21 690, its dangerous to try to ride dirt with those 2 things working against me. Also the kickstand switch is bypassed on mine. Any good jump or bump the kickstand moves a little and kills the engine + the switch can quit leaving you stranded.
Great job for a beginner, I suppose from the use of all the fingers on the levers :), but I'ts ok, you'll learn and onestly you never fall down and use the correct ammount of gas in all the situations so, good job! What king of tires do yuoi have on the bike?

Video being a year old I imagine out figured out mode 2 is much much better for off road.

A 250 might be a more appropriate bike.
