Nice, now you are a droid builder. My time talking to you at celebration was time well spent. I would keep your battery and add a small boost converter to increase the voltage to you servos
This was brilliant thank you. Is there any chance you'll be doing a more detailed look at the electronics side of it? The controller and flashing it all?

Oh this is awesome! I guess this is the tipping point to make me buy a 3D printer :D Also the servo trick might be janky, but I really wish I knew that for some of my old projects. Thank you!
Hey I just updated the blog post about the project on hackster www.hackster.io/Mellow_labs/boldly-building-my-own-droid-402272 it should have everything you need but if not give me a shout
@@AdrianPickworth No problem. I have an Ender3 pro, That was my first printer but it’s a lot of work. The second one I got was the ender 3s1 it’s a lot better for beginners. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07GYXP9ZL/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_QMQEF270HMT70Y7GDCP1?linkCode=ml2&tag=mellowlabs-21
Thank you, the controller is super easy it’s just a raspberry pi pico and a joystick module and a battery for power. If you need my help you can reach out on my discord we would be happy to help.
@@Mellow_labs may do that thanks! raspberry pis and aurduinos are not my strong point, looking at the whole electronics while looks simple its the coding of it all is daunting

Damn, that’s a good point how do you not think of that. I even have some 😂
So excited for the progress this channel is making
also the esp32 D1 mini has plenty of analog pins, so i use an esp32 D1 mini in the transmitter and a esp8266 D1 mini in the receiver.
Yeah, that would have worked, but I only had 8266 D1s the pico was at hand.

@@Mellow_labs Thank you! Can I ask what model? I'm new to this and in the market for my first 3D printer. I noticed there are about 4-5 versions.
