Yeah Mappa did a really good job of making this shit cinematic and letting you absorb the scenery of this beautiful fucked world. They made an entirely original sequence in the anime of showing Aki's everyday morning routine before someone throws a wrench in it and turns a perfectionist simple paradise into a sanitorium, and it enhances the storytelling by giving a contrast to how moderately peaceful his home life was and how that's just about all gone now. Dammit I just commented to answer your question about how they handle negative space and fill frames between manga panels, and he immediately talked about the Aki scene after.
I really loved this show, it didn’t feel like an anime at all. Yes some parts of it was reminiscent of Jujutsu Kaisen (the creator has literally said that he took inspiration from that) but imo it does those parts much better and with even more depth in just 12 episodes so far. It’s really great

You know what the funny thing is now that I know that power's Spanish voice actress did a lot of sexy moans, that title is actually pretty accurate lol. Chainsaw man has done things to me that recently only demon slayer and devil may cry have been able to accomplish: Giving me girls to like and reasons why specific girls I like them. Power is definitely not on my list though but I do commend that her Spanish voice actress nailed it with all those moans.

-Denji kicked Aki in the nuts about 7 times in one scene, as Denji says "In a streetfight with a dude it's NOTHING BUT NUTS!!!" -Chainsaw Man is AMAZING! -If it makes you feel better the mvast majority of the gore is that of Devils and some human blood, also they only cut out 1 small scene/chapter in episode 2 but i think it was to just save on runtime/fit more in -the anime is about 1/3rd of the way through Part 1 of the Manga

The manga reached chapters 110-120, but "Part 1" ended in the late 90-100 chapters, so despite still being overall the same setting, you might feel like people talk about it like it's over due to talking about part 1. New chapters still release regularily but like most mangas recent events are only really talked about in groups of people that keep up every week, and being the middle of an arc people are still confused so won't really mention it yet I've loved how the anime did justice to the manga while having it's style, slice of life scenes feels even more real than a lot of slice of life animes due to how smooth the vibe can be, and then jump straight into gory stuff quite litterally going "brrr" (Santa claus amongst seemingly random words are manga references, the fun part being that someone who hasn't reached said moment might not ever have the slightest idea what it's about, so manga readers sometimes have fun "spoiling" with such words because it doesn't actually spoil anyone but triggers others readers)
I'll say, the worst aspect of this series is actually what a lot of fans seem to like, and that's Kobeni. I don't think I've ever come across a character that had me so annoyed they nearly made me close out an episode. Her introduction is the WORST. And I know there's fans who'll say, "Well it's realistic.", being realistic doesn't make it not annoying. And there's only two times where I found her decently tolerable. And yes, I have read all of Part 1, and while she does improve, I can't say I totally like her, yet.
yeah annoying characters are usually really hard to make likable. Personally I like her ironically (which I think is the intention) and I feel like the absurd amount some people hate her just makes other people like her even more 😂 I think her VA is great and has honestly impressed me so far, they even make her feel slightly less like a gag at times
Tbh, I think what happened with the whole Kobeni situation is both sides being so vocal. First the people who finds her annoying like it's understandable but it escalated since the people who hate csm (due to reasons like hating the new popular anime etc.) and the trolls have joined and just threw gasoline. Then now came the csm manga fans of Kobeni fighting back to the Kobeni hate, which resulted to this whole problem. I like Kobeni, heck my favorite character in demon slayer is Zenitsu. I think I just have higher tolerance with "annoying" characters. Though in general I tend to like those type of characters more than the quiet and cool characters. Tbh, I kind of expected this reaction for the majority since highly emotional characters (who tend to cry) are always being hated on like Deku form mha who I also like. They feel human to me and more realistic as annoying they can be to others. Looking at it, my friends tend to be more animated/emotional than me (I've been called unemotional or dense by them, thanks guys lol XD), so there's that😅.

Chainsaw Man is batshit insane. The pacing in the manga is insane, but it is a bit slower in the anime. So in short it’s pretty good.
