I like both types of breakfast. Depends on what I'm in the mood for but these types of breakfasts are usually reserved for holidays and weekends. My normal breakfast is either a bowl of of cereal or tea and toast.
It’s true !!! And everytime I go to another country, people just know that I’m French because of how I took my breakfast and what I eat. People are like : you are so French !!!! I’m telling you I really don’t know how Americans can eat all these stuff in the morning, I’ll not be able to go on with my work schedule if I eat this much on morning… but maybe they are right about it, at least they can eliminate all of this food during the day and eat less at night before they sleep.
We don’t eat this every day for breakfast. I can’t remember the last time I actually had breakfast beyond a cup of coffee. The majority of us usually have a cup of coffee and a bowl of cereal. A last percentage of the American population actually starts their day with a cup of coffee and a cigarette just like the French, but minus the pastry.
Switch it up, have chausson aux pommes, chouquettes, kouign amann, brioche, cannelé, pain viennois, pain suisse, croissant aux amandes, etc... il y a le choix quand même.
Mostly, Americans don't eat breakfast, but when they do, they aren't that big. This is mostly a dinner thing to have that much, but yeah, most American breakfasts do consist of proteins and carbs to fuel the body to work a 12 hour shift at a low paying job.
I have the taste of America but the culture of France 😂 I like having scrambled eggs on toast and fruit for breakfast, but I take my time and enjoy every bite :)
Honestly was one of my biggest pet peeves traveling to Paris. Woke up wanting a meal to fuel me and my day and all there was for breakfast was pastries…
Probably like 90% of breakfasts in the US are sweet. Also most breakfasts aren't that big. A lot of people don't eat breakfast most days, other people just have like coffee, other people eat something light like cereal, fruit, or toast. Big breakfasts are really only for the weekend or a special occasion.
As someone who married a French guy: that is a HUGE French breakfast! Usually just a coffee, some orange juice, maximum one croissant or pain au chocolat
Ah yes, the american guy is fat and gauche, and the french guy is healthy, wise and sophisticated. Such comedy gold. Also, not repetitive and cheesy at all.
Pretty sure most French just have coffee since croissant and pain au chocolat have to be bought fresh every morning. But I'd admit I envy our neighbors for their full meal in morning
As an American, I know very few people who eat this kind of breakfast regularly. This is a weekend or special occasion breakfast. We normally eat nothing, cold cereal, toast, or a muffin.
Egyptian breakfast be like... any combination of those! White Feta Cheese, Roomi cheese Pastrami Olives Peta bread/ Feteer meshaltet Fava beans (cooked with lemon & Tahini) Falafel Lettuce Diced Tomatoes with black pepper Fried scrambled eggs French fries Butter + Jam + Milk Cream + halva (either PeanutButter based or sesame)
We don't do sweets in the morning. Are you kidding? I think most Americans do cold cereal that has tons of sugar, orange juice pure sugar or a granola bar or pop tart. Making a savory breakfast takes too much time because you are in a hurry to get out the door to go to school or work. Unless there is one person dedicated to making breakfast for the rest of the family to get up way earlier than everyone else to make all that. It is no longer the 1950s. For most if it's savory it's going to be something frozen you can microwave.
No-one in America eats like that. It's coffee and a donut, or coffee and a bagel with jam. Or, just coffee. No-one eats that huge plate of food because, well, we only give ourselves 7 minutes to eat breakfast, sadly.
To be fair, there’s no nutritional value in the pastries whereas the other breakfast does actually meet all of the important food groups needed for successful body functioning. I do agree, though, that it’s unwise to fill up on such heavy foods so early but 🤷🏾♀️ to each their own
Yeaaaa, we don't eat that every day. Maybe during a brunch or a special occasion. But most aren't having that level of food everyday. These stereotypes are getting ridiculous.
We don't have time to be chilling outside a coffee shop! We have to go! You see, it's not about enjoying, it's about getting going! Move the fucking bricks mate!
Americans don’t do sweet for breakfast? Their Starbucks alone probably has enough sugar for the whole day. And pancakes and waffles with their precious high fructose corn syrup. They don’t even kill you with real sugar here 😢
These "cultural stereotype characters battle it out" videos are obnoxious and, as we can see in this one, comically reductive to the point of being inaccurate.
Who the hell…. Fam have u heard of American cereals? Pancakes, “coffee” (Starbucks and Dunkin’ sugar drinks), waffles, muffins etc. Americans run on sugar in the morning lmao did this guy just get here
This video is stupid and irrelevant. Complete misrepresentation of Americans. I mean we can all literally just make stuff up and put a youtube video about it.
"We don't do sweet in the morning" then wtf is pancake, waffle and breakfast muffin for???
Or donuts. Or many cereals
Those aren’t sweet by our standards. In America sweet is when you can taste the blood sugar levels reaching an all time high.

Remember, no ac and a lot of walking 😅😂

@@sonnyb6536yeah south France has aircon. But yeah french people excerise more. But generally they have one of those pastries not all of them.

this has to be the most unrealistic portrayal of the american breakfast ive seen on my entire life
yea they forgot the fried heart attack and the bowl of cholesterol 😂😂😂
Yeah this the birthday I hop occasion😆
French breakfast all day
Literally empty calories
it's a chocolate buns with coffee blud 😂 sometimes it's ok but not every morning fk me.

Prefer the American one - lots more protein to get you started on your day
No but honestly
I lost so much weight in France because u get so fed up eating croissants and baguette all day every day.

I think one croissant or pain au chocolat is enough for a French breakfast, even
Noen of those can make us indonesians full, no rice no full.
will i prefer the French breakfast though it's much adorable 😍
That's why so much people suffer from diabetes
Besides the bagel and juice the American breakfast was extremely low carb.
The French have discovered the meaning of life
And then Turkish laugh at them 😅
👍I rather have a Turkish breakfast or any other Mediterranean inspired breakfast .
I prefer a German breakfast with cold cuts, cheese, eggs and brötchen instead.
In Vietnam we eat savory breakfast, like Pho and Banh Mi,- yummyy

Slow breakfast is what we should all aim for.
“We don’t do sweet in the morning”? Breakfast is like the only time your entire meal can be sugar😭
This isn’t a pain aux raisins, this is a pain suisse.
The real french breakfast is café clope
Franchement, les deux sont trop, on a besoin seulement un petit café eh bien un croissant.
You guys should come to Korea. And see what we have for the hangover breakfast. 😂
We do sweet in the morning!
The French breakfast would rather be a croissant, or pain au chocolat, or pain aux raisins or a madeleine. But definitely not all together!
Refined sugars in the morning is the unhealthiest thing you could go for.
My breakfast is usually 6 eggs sunny side up and 4 pieces of buttered toast. If not that hash browns and coffee.

That American meal is from 1970. In todays America we get a teaspoon of corn syrup, some caffeine and then insert simulated food products here.
