Ghostmaker is a FANTASTIC new addition. About time Batman got a buddy/rival. And that "tank" joke. That's gotta burn.
I agree usually its a new robin or some shit. This is BADASS! Like you said the buddy/rival thing is great. Really hope they do more on this storyline.

A lot of people complained that Ghostmaker is just another Batman who kills, but that’s not really a fair criticism. While he does kill, that’s a consequence of his ideological differences with Batman, not the main or only one.
For sure you're right on the money. I think Ghostmaster is really good I hope we see more. Everyone is a critic though, its sad when they cannot see great stuff when it is in front of them.
By that logic a lot of other characters he fights are like him but kill. Deathstroke could be considered Batman if he was a mercenary and assassin. Red Hood is literally Batman if he killed, so if Flashpoint Batman
@@chronicler6162 but Ghostmaker kind of is the same. Rich dude, trained with all the same people. Uses tech. I would not say Deathstroke is the same because he is hired for the money. Redhood I would argue is. Batman pretty much trained all the robins to be like him. And flashpoint Batman.. literally has batman in his name lol. And I dont think its really a critique, at least from my point of view. It just makes it an acceptable killing Batman. If you look at all the DC universes, there is not one where Batman, Superman, or Wonder woman kill without becoming a villain. I would love to see an else worlds where one of the big three kill and dont go completely insane. I'll admit in the Snyderverse when Superman killed i lost my shit. but at the same time, he is still Superman like we know him. I would love to see more of that explored, like there is a killing code. Like you cant kill someone not the same power level as you. So superman killing Doomsday, is alright. Batman killing Lex or Joker ok. Superman killing Lex, not ok.
Having seen Ghostmaker's story conclude in a flashback, I don't even think it's a matter of them being different, just they came at life from different angles.
Ghostmaker said that he wasn't about vengeance, yet he got revenge to get retribution, so even his statement of "Killing for the art of it" wasn't entirely true. He was just projecting on bruce about his own insecurities. Despite being a killer; he wasn't entirely heartless.
I mean, I feel batman has too many stories, but I generally enjoyed this one for what it was. What if Batman had a peer, a friend with who they were once on the same wavelength but fell apart due to a misunderstanding? Interesting. Even though that requires knowing that Bruce is fine with someone murdering a bunch of guys outside his turf. Seems weird tonality wise given that he's generally a bit of an extremist when it comes to his values, to the extent of coming to blows with other heroes when they cross the line.

I love ClownHunter's design. It is the epitome of a confused, broken teenager who wants to look "cool." Every panel just makes him look tragic instead of badass.

@Odd haven because u can really escape into a world of ur own. Like music u can interpret comics how u want. Sometimes it means something to some one else. I just love how u explained why u like the character. Also his contrast to the dark knight. Nothing but love.

I absolutely LOVED Ghost Maker he easily became one of my favorite new comic book characters. Him being Batman's rival was already amazing but now he and Bats are about to be the next dynamic duo! Can't wait to see more of these 2 or atleast more Ghost Maker

They just had joker war I think they are now going into the phase of rebuilding cause if every storyline back to back is like joker war then it won’t be a special event anymore

Nightwing, Prometheus, Azrael, Deathstroke, Talon, that French Mulatto guy who wanted to recruit Damian.....so many martial artists, parkour, high tech people in DC!
at first, I was opposed to Harley being in the Bat family until I heard the speech that she gave Clown Hunter. I realized in that moment that this is actually a great step for her character and it doesn't feel forced. For a guy that likes to work alone, Batman sure surrounds himself with a bunch of loyal people.
I agree. Harley was confused and manipulated. She understands her mistakes and is willing to spend the rest of her life atoning
and I think that's the thing that can work, she will likely be hated for the rest of her existence by a lot of people, justifiably so, but wanting to redeem one's self and being willing to put up with the hard road has the real potential for building character.
Plus it gives me batman animated vibes of a guy who generally did what he did so people would have an opportunity to get the help they need. We've a thousand reasons why the revolving door of Arkham is a terrible place, but just some people coming out better and willing to live with their mistakes is fantastic.
So this is canon now. It's awesome that there's a new character of Ghost Maker. It's like a partner/ rival dynamic, a very awesome concept indeed. What's sad is that Alfred is dead now

Harley Quinn as a good guy is something that was already established way back so I'm okay with that part of her. As for the Ghost Maker, kinda cool that his like the new Alfred but also on the field with the Bat. I'm intrigued where they might take his character moving forward cause to me, he feels like a rival from the early Pokemon games.

I think because that even without killing, he thinks he can be a better crimefighter than Batman. Batman just used Ghost Maker's own ego against him.
@@DoktorWieg Throughout the entire comic, Ghost Maker did indeed prove to be a better superhero than Batman. Plus don't the Gotham police shoot to kill too? I think Batman's moto is "Save the Killer, let thousands die... I'll get to be the hero again for another night".
I'll have to agree with Amir, the real reason Ghost Maker gave up was because of "bad writing".
They couldn't make him the villain and they couldn't make him the hero, so they left it at a stand still agreement instead of carrying out the story for a few issues.
No. You just aren't paying attention.
First: He wants what batman wants. An end to crime.
Second: They are old friends and batman had said before that he missed him. I assume the ghostmaker feels the same way.
Third: He will probably keep constantly arguing with batman about killing.
Fourth: he will probably become the villain again when he gets fed up of not killing.
I kinda hope that he is playing batman. making bruce trust him and that in a year or two they'll make a story about him betraying the bat family and fighting batman

I actually think this is just a much needed character progression on batman mythos and probably testing the waters for a new solo series.
With the ammount of fans he got in the the short ammount of time? Its a very strong possibility he will enventually get his own books.

i dont think thats a main continuity thing, i think that was something the Dark knight triology popularized, in the comics he just travels around the world, learning from different experts in the field
I find this really interesting. At first, I thought Ghost Maker is gonna be a new villain. I didn't expect him to be a new ally. Looking forward to their stories. This better not end up in some, "I've been playing you all this time and here's my real goal" shit. We already have way too much of that in DC. xD
Honestly I want Ghost-Maker to go solo and get his own series, I think it would be awesome. I think it would be awesome to see him be his own hero. With the arrogance of Hero's like Ironman and the morals of characters like Jason Todd, Although while Jason struggles to control his emotions Ghost-Maker would struggle to understand those feelings.

damn wtf Ghostmaker is act a fire ass character . i wanna know his origin cause it seems he thinks ppl can’t change and they should be punished for their crimes but at the same time he sees in batman that maybe change can happen w him and his family . a rival who has the same ambition, who trained w you as young adults, who are merely identical, who’s a friend is a great addition into the bat story
Their rivalry will be fun to watch especially since ghost-maker seems like the one who wants to proves he's better than batman the most. He literally designed the Haunt to look like the Batcave but 'better'(tho that depends on preference since I'd rather work somewhere darkish rather than a white room) he even made the dinosaur bigger on purpose if that's not childish I don't know what is😆
