If you have an Android device (smartphone or tablet) where you cannot access the Android operating system (upon trying to boot your device, your device crashes, hangs, locks up, freezes, the user interface is completely non-responsive, or you cannot reboot your device, your device is stuck in a boot loop, maybe you only see the Android splash screen when you start up the device, maybe you see nothing but a blank screen, whatever the scenario) there exists a recovery screen (recovery system) where you can wipe, reset or reboot your Android device all outside and before the standard bootup procedure. Ensure your Android device is fully charged and is plugged into a power source before doing this! Once done, from an off-state, you want to boot your Android device by holding the sleep/wake on/off button as well as one of the volume keys. On a Hipstreet Micron IPR200 7DTB41-8GB tablet, the hotkey combination to hold while booting is the power key and the volume up + key. The Android Recovery System allows options such as reboot system now, apply update from ADB, wipe data factory reset, wipe cache partition, reboot to bootloader, power down, and view recovery logs. You should always try the simplest solution first, such as 'reboot system now' before doing something grave such as wipe factory data reset.
