i hit a block on diablo just, when activating the pillars i get to last 1 and its cold immunity rip love the blizz love it, but that is some bs, a follower cannot be the only reliable way to kill as a blizz sorc, i do static and hes down to 25% but boom starts healin lol my follower dies, ive tried barb, archer, and lightning dude, i find becuase i can do the smallest dmg if i blizz over n over and hit thim with glacial to stop his healing, but follower dies before he can get lower, im on nightmare its been a breeze but not its cold stop , soo maybe some woof woof time indeed since i think ill leave sum till release. over the years ive done pally smite, glacial sorc, and now blizz sorc, so far the fastest and highest now is blizz,, i hope to chance in hell to a light sorc but the gearing wont be fun, i will dive into a frost light build to deal with these immunitys but now i need the woof time
i think it all depends on your idea of game play. armageddon druid is probably fine if u dont mind playing slowly.... everyone just wants rush rush rush and dont slow down and play the game
8:00min But Armageddon is the only druid cast spell you can cast while being a werewolf. And since it's "passive" in the background you can add a lot of AoE dmg that way to your build! And life oak is only for very hard encounters. +dmg% and +attack% is better imo.
Don't disparage the Summoner druid. Ravens hit 5x at ~39 damage (lvl 37) and 48 hits - over 9k damage before you have to recast. and the higher you get your plus skills the more viable wolves are to spread out your damage cause wolves are cool at least with a faith merc and enigma for crowd control. i also just like to teleport around and hit shit with my azurewrath while my minions lay down some solid damage. with faith and heart of the wolverine normal attack has a decent chance to hit bosses even.
My brother beat Normal Diablo with nothing but lvl 1 Armageddon. He couldn't do any actual damage to him so he just ran around him for 2 hrs until it killed him
I think Feral Rage gives a stacking buff that applies to other melee attacks, but it's been a long time. The numbers which don't give a range are the attack itself IIRC. Similar with Maul. Like you could use Maul and Fire Claw for two damage types, and Shockwave +skills for stun.
I started playing a werebear druid and I'm confused on the maul skill. Do I need to keep hitting with maul itself to get the stacking bonuses, or do the effects of previous maul hits help my primary attack? I just need to know whether I can just map maul to my left clicker lol
Could you explain why you always drop the shield as melee druid? Is it because you don't want to block and therefore lose time you could otherwise use for attacking? I'm having Aldurs Rhytm 1H with 3Sheal runes. +90% atk speed! It's great with fire claws! I'm tempted to use a shield. Should I?
You don't need lot of dex, past what you need to wear items, because in werewolf form you get massive attack rating bonus from werewolf skill + that "rage" skill (lvl 12), so you will have high chance to hit even on Hell which I think is max at 86% on Hell.
One important note on fhr for druid . In werewolf form values are lower. Actually he has the Best fhr in the game in werewolf form. Like 3 frames at 86\84 fhr (forgot values its years since played)...compared to 4 frames pala\barb for example...not that a smiter won t beat u in pvp but al least u can run ;)
Shifters are really fun, but take a lot to gear properly. Your weapon choice makes all the difference. So so ias off a botd for more physical dmg. 5 shael 1 eth pb or 6 shael pb for stupid ias but your gear and build have to be on point to run. Stupid fun though.
Can you use elemental skills while transformed as a werewolf or bear? I’ve played hcc religiously never got into lod but, with d2r think I’m gonna try it out again
Hey Llama, I've a question for you; if you're doing a speedrun, or just a general elemental Druid playthrough, how many Countess runs would you do in order to get a Ral rune for a Leaf staff before you'd move on? I've done about a dozen today (I know, small potatoes), and I've not seen a SINGLE Ral...
I think the same applies to Hurricane. You can't cast while shifted, but the duration continues to run if you cast and then shift. So you can Shockwave all the things while running around in a Hurricane looking silly. Sort of a safety thing I guess, but you can't Tornado for Physical while this is going on.
If wana pvp feraal +Armageddon can be fun and even good against some classes especially If u duel a friend and u know what he plays. You wont max all skills tho .You need enough armageddob damage to put enemy in fhr If he doesn't have max resist while still atacking in warewolf form for physical gmg. Actually there is some variety for druid in pvp especially even tho not the best class.. not even close
I have been killing everything in an area for xp farming. But as a perk from that I have been getting so lucky with drops. I get more good stuff from a random creature than from a boosted creature. Cause I kill a 100 regular creatures per 1 special. So cause of that I end up getting good gear from the normal creature. I also keep getting everything I need. I don't have to go back and clear an area again and again. Just playing the game normally I got one of the best 4 socket polearm and all the runes except sol for my insight for my hammerdin. Not to mention my gear and my mercs gear has been good enough to clear every act
I really wanted to make a fissure/tornado/hurricane build, but guess what? When you cast hurricane, it turns off your fire skills for around 5 seconds. That sucks. Totally ruined my build!
In defense of the Raven: Most druids lack a ranged weapon due to the insane melee bonus shape changing gives them. Ravens can perform as the ranged weapon. True the damage is light but I slew Diablo with them (multiple castings) but even with the bear in both the Ravens struck the death blow. on Normal and Nightmare. In Hell I did it as a Werebear. Ravens are also good as they often attack enemies just outside of the light radius giving me plenty of time to shape change. You uncharacteristically failed to take into account their versatility focusing only on damage. An error. They rock as an early warning system on on normal can kill most monsters on the first two acts. save the bosses.
Sure ravens can be nice for blinding and doing a little bit of damage but I suppose I'm just comparing them to the damage output of other skills he has like tornado, firestorm, fissure, etc. Really makes them hard to justify
The thorn spirit is really bad, especially in hell. Even with a maxed out thorn spirit, it would take dozens of hits for the enemies to kill themselves.
because I always roll a chance to block, but I only go into hit recovery when I take more than 1/12 health in 1 hit. So in the blood moor monsters aren't doing enough damage to me, thus I never need to recover there.
You COULD rely on Rabies to eventually poison everything.... or you could just throw down a Poison Creeper and immediately poison everything in the area. I'm guessing you can't summon while in "were" form but I've always considered Rabies to be kind of redundant.
You can summon anything while in werewolf form and rabies gets bonus effect from poison creeper, so I think it's a good idea to give some points do poison creeper if you plan to play with a rabies werewolf build.
With max gear and summon grand charm a spirit wolf lv 50 can be as strong as lv 20 bear :)) yes i test it out both damage and defend and health But at the time you got all that items the bear have around 10k health(with oak sage) and 6000 damage in 1 hit
Can't tell if you legitimately don't know how to pronounce wolf or not. Anyway Druid was one of my fav chars, but unfortunately he sucks. They did improve his elemental spells with the synergies patch, but the shapeshifting abilities pretty much got the shaft with that patch. Werebear, while looks really awesome, sucks. Unlike the barb with whirlwing, he has no special combat abilities besides just basic attacks, which makes him far less fun to play as, besides the gimmick of him looking like a bear. His attack speed is painfully slow too. Elemental is pretty much the way to go with druid, it's the only option that makes sense, but even then he's just so much weaker than sorc. Really glad Druid is coming back for D4 though, he looks SO much better. It looks like he can seamlessly transition from human to were forms quickly and with knockback and stun effects which make him so much more playable. I can't wait to see what else he can do.
Are you talking about when it comes to "pvp"? Sure wolf/bear form sucks! Ill give you that. but elemental druid is the best option. Can take out mostly any class if you know what you're doing. Slap on a enigma, wit Fcr and Fhr and it be gg. But again i never had any problem running in duels. A good fight will be the barb in my opinion.
@@Godbunny101 Well I mostly played pre-synergy patch way back in the day. I only briefly played it after they added synergies which buffed elemental a lot. Prior to that patch, the shapeshifting tree was the only viable tree Druid had, and it was just so much weaker than any other class (aside form assassin maybe). Post patch, you had a reversal. No idea why they didn't add synergies to the shapeshifting tree other than fireclaws and a few others. PVP druid sucked as shape shifter, but maybe it's better now as elemental.
Characters only get 110 skill points but you are showing them with 120. Seems you're also missing the +60 Life from 3 Potion of Life's (Alkor quest). And the + life/mana/stamina per level. The easier way to make a level 99 character (assuming you're using Hero Editor or something) is put 3 -50%XP small charms and go kill one enemy. It makes XP rollover and you insta-level to 99 :) (then add the +60 life, +15 stat points, and +12 skill points)
i love that he complains about armageddon not being good cause its chance to hit something is pretty random but he likes fissure ? i get constantly annoyed by fissure for those precise reasons and will usually focus on firestorm first since its a bit too hard to rely on fissure for a while
MrLlamaSC true i just feel like fissure is the same Sometimes i might need to spam fissure 3-5 times on a pack before it hits enough to kill it unless i Can Force em to move :P
Playing D2R for the first time, never finished D2 before. These are immensely helpful. Thanks!
You can be a woof.
im a make a woof
:P
i hit a block on diablo just, when activating the pillars i get to last 1 and its cold immunity rip love the blizz love it, but that is some bs, a follower cannot be the only reliable way to kill as a blizz sorc, i do static and hes down to 25% but boom starts healin lol my follower dies, ive tried barb, archer, and lightning dude, i find becuase i can do the smallest dmg if i blizz over n over and hit thim with glacial to stop his healing, but follower dies before he can get lower, im on nightmare its been a breeze but not its cold stop , soo maybe some woof woof time indeed since i think ill leave sum till release. over the years ive done pally smite, glacial sorc, and now blizz sorc, so far the fastest and highest now is blizz,, i hope to chance in hell to a light sorc but the gearing wont be fun, i will dive into a frost light build to deal with these immunitys but now i need the woof time
Yup up on the roof
No matter how awkward Druid skills and builds is I always love the lore and class fantasy too much to not roll one everytime I play.
i think it all depends on your idea of game play. armageddon druid is probably fine if u dont mind playing slowly.... everyone just wants rush rush rush and dont slow down and play the game
My favourite class in the game till this day, followed by the Necromancer and Assassin.
8:00min But Armageddon is the only druid cast spell you can cast while being a werewolf. And since it's "passive" in the background you can add a lot of AoE dmg that way to your build! And life oak is only for very hard encounters. +dmg% and +attack% is better imo.
I think the frames change based on what form you're in. Wolf has very good hit frames.
I really wanted to see you max bear, lycanthropy, oak sage and vitality!

Like the lore here. A "darker" take on the "traditional" idea of the Druid archetype.
I think Feral Rage gives a stacking buff that applies to other melee attacks, but it's been a long time. The numbers which don't give a range are the attack itself IIRC. Similar with Maul. Like you could use Maul and Fire Claw for two damage types, and Shockwave +skills for stun.
Elemental druid here I come! Can't wait for Resurrected. Thx for good content MrLlamaSC!
Heart of the Wolverine is very good. Huge for melee builds.
What's not terribly well-known is that most 2-handed weapons are faster in the hands of a druid than for any other class.
Actually the sorceress has a slightly faster attack rate with two handed weapons. God knows why.
@@tjv2446 an awesome idea for a two hander enchantress, sounds badass
Oh, Llama and the word "wolf" :D
Lycan. Feral Rage + Oak Sage. Done and done.
I started playing a werebear druid and I'm confused on the maul skill. Do I need to keep hitting with maul itself to get the stacking bonuses, or do the effects of previous maul hits help my primary attack?
I just need to know whether I can just map maul to my left clicker lol

What kind of weapon should an druid use ? Staff ??
Can you cast spells like hurricane or tornado while you're in bear or wolf form?
Nope.
Shifters are really fun, but take a lot to gear properly. Your weapon choice makes all the difference. So so ias off a botd for more physical dmg. 5 shael 1 eth pb or 6 shael pb for stupid ias but your gear and build have to be on point to run. Stupid fun though.
Ya shifters can be great but are definitely hugely dependent on weapon choice. That's all melee though just about
Few seasons back I was seeing Armageddon in pvp alot. IDK why though lol
Can you use elemental skills while transformed as a werewolf or bear? I’ve played hcc religiously never got into lod but, with d2r think I’m gonna try it out again
Only the final fire skill, unfortunately.
I wouldn't move on without it on a speedrun. I just reset instead haha.
I know Armageddon isn't the best spell, but you didn't mention it can be used in bear or woof forms.
this is true! But ya the spell is lackluster unfortunately
I think the same applies to Hurricane. You can't cast while shifted, but the duration continues to run if you cast and then shift. Yeah, I loved rocking in my bear form with Grandfather socketed with haste rune :-)
Oh yeah, haste rune bear sounds awesome
I really wanted to make a fissure/tornado/hurricane build, but guess what? When you cast hurricane, it turns off your fire skills for around 5 seconds. That sucks. Totally ruined my build!
Do tornados count as physical damage and if so does life leach apply? Like nigma gives life per hit do you get that life per hit from tornados?
physical dmg yes, life leech no. Life per kill does work from enigma
Can you summon A bear or something else in Woof form?
Yes. You can summon anything you want while in Werewolf form.
13:00 I ran into that combo immediately lol my luck.
In defense of the Raven: Most druids lack a ranged weapon due to the insane melee bonus shape changing gives them. Ravens can perform as the ranged weapon. Good video! Shift + klicking on a skillpoint in the skilltree > 20 klicks
Doesn't work for skills.
Summon WUFS and WUF form lol. Just messing WIF you llama
Druid is my fav
Seth Davis same
The thorn spirit is really bad, especially in hell. Even with a maxed out thorn spirit, it would take dozens of hits for the enemies to kill themselves.
Hi! Can you help me out a guide for single player elemental druid?
I'll do a let's play for it in the future to play along and guide you through
MrLlamaSC thank you so much!!! 😍
If Faster hit recovery is higher than the faster block recovery why would you drop the shield when speedrunning?
because I always roll a chance to block, but I only go into hit recovery when I take more than 1/12 health in 1 hit. So in the blood moor monsters aren't doing enough damage to me, thus I never need to recover there.

how does one hero edit? is it a program?
charlie barber sure is. Just google hero editor.

But at the time you got all that items the bear have around 10k health(with oak sage) and 6000 damage in 1 hit
i made a bear in 1.11 i think, he was STACKED. botd and such, but i think he died too easily? dont remember what he failed at, maybe low AR
Throw barb when?
Werewolf master race!!!!!
Any chance you plan to do a more in depth explanation of shape shifting mechanics and their relation to things like ED and AS on gear?
Sure would need to be a more in depth guide later for sure though!
Sounds great! Appreciate the reply, and all the D2 content.
All the old builds used to say go werebear but werewolf is soo much cooler lol
I like the bear look personally :)
does anyone know when next ladder reset is?
The Diablo II ladder will reset on May 30th at 2 PM PDT :)

Its funny how bear with 9000 life and 1000 damage 1000AR misses raganizhu
I wanna be a werewoof
Is arctic blast still somewhat viable? People ran that back in the day if I'm not mistaken. Like a straight up better inferno sorc.
kek ah yes the Druid
it can be comical if you have bear and you play with delirium and transfiguring between bear and that little stink
@6:20
Lama, does the Werebear damage% effect spells cast while bear form?
No
Ravens and woof FTW!!!

yea was just hero editing so I had extra skills/stats and could just put things in to showcase. good idea for future though
Ага, имуны к холоду и физике редкие, Хэл, 8 плаерсов прописываешь и через одного такие.
where is the first look at sorc
coming soon!
It’s a shame the Barbarian is the worst character
Fury fury fury!
Somebody help me please how he get lvl 99?
these chars are just for show purposes. My highest real char is lvl 98
MrLlamaSC ok btw i love your speedruns they are amazing but why you dont play multiplayer??And what plugins or mods do you use?
So what is the main weapon of ele druid taking cold path? I always thought its a twister, but now I hear tornado is way to go?
tornado is big dmg. Twister just is if you wanna ministun. I always use nado basically
"summon spirit woof"
I wanna be a woof !
I think the wind druid in bear form would do it
Didn't think you could cast while in werewolf or werebear form. I'll try that out.
How can you manipulate the stats?
using plugy mod for the guide video
Faster castrate
Play it, Lama ..
i love that he complains about armageddon not being good cause its chance to hit something is pretty random
but he likes fissure ? i get constantly annoyed by fissure for those precise reasons and will usually focus on firestorm first since its a bit too hard to rely on fissure for a while
It's not the random chance is bad, it's the amount of times that it hits. It just doesn't hit often enough to be effective
MrLlamaSC true i just feel like fissure is the same
Sometimes i might need to spam fissure 3-5 times on a pack before it hits enough to kill it unless i Can Force em to move :P
Who knew that werewolf is pronounced "woof"!
How do you reskill and restat by just one click?
this is using plugy mod for guide purposes
Thanks Mr.llama, I'll try this mod
How does he keep respecing like that? Managed to fuck up my necro by specking all points into strength, literally every point
plugy mod allows for infinite respecs. Useful for things like this
MrLlamaSC thanks heaps man!
woof
I've never seen a person so confidently incorrect about so many skills.
The hard-to-find fairies supply poke because pickle anatomically pause plus a cold handsaw. gabby, phobic poet
Ummm.woof? Lol. The L is pronounced in wolf. Like wool with an f on the end. Uh. 🤦♂️🤣
54 life at level 99?! How is that even possible?!
du du
Dude... are you drunk in this video? Is that water or vodka?
Dide ur drinking so much water on stream its annoying with ur slurping
gotta stay hydrated
