"sha zhu pan" is the cantonese for "pig butchering". It is not the name of a scammer gang but merely the technique for stealing crypto from marks.
Not looking good for Apple's No Slavery policy
thankfully they dont have one
@@lol-wc3ld r/woooosh
Dam that sarcasm “r/woooosh”ed right over you
@@mr_indie_fan Reddit moment
so Apple's excuse for not allowing users freely install apps is flimsy
So... you compared that to Android? or Linux?
Ah I see... BlackBerryOS
Yep
f... apple
it always was
@@muhammadyusoffjamaluddin all three of those allow user to install apps from outside of the app store. Idk what your point was.
you forgot to mention that the nofly hacker also coined the phrase "Holy Fucking Bingle"
Any mention of swearing gets a video demonetized these days
That's the most "Haha random = funny" redditor ass phrase I think I've ever read.
@Viktorian I know...literally cringing rn that a depressed hacktivist with zero life scanning shodan all night for Jenkins servers was even described as a hacker. I pretty much can't stand 'hacktivists' period...99% of them are a depressed lot of script kiddies with some stupid cause and no talent. This world is going to shit man 🤦♂️
@Viktorian88 okay incel
@@AnarchoTak okay groomer
The scam is called "pig butchering scam" in china, and has been covered a lot by SerpentZA and Laowhy86, they've got some cool content about it.
I recently found SerpentZA's channel. Great content. I'm currently binge watching it 😎
They are awesome! I am subbed to both, plus their common channel!
Thats a great video to watch if anyone wants to learn more about the scam.
I thought "pig butchering scam" sounded familiar.
I love messing with scammers, whatI find it amazing is how many are in it for the long game... months of chatting and messaging before ever bringing up anything to do with money.
perfect if you know what it is and you use it when you have no one to talk to
@@-gdan-1860 that's sounds sad
Yeah but the typists are also scammed to scam you. You need to aim for the higher levels.
Janice#8819 is the one im talking to
I did this, I feel really bad now knowing that they're being forced to do it. I talked with mine for like 4 months, they seemed like a really nice person. I actually did come to the conclusion that they worked for some kind of company, but I didn't know they had no choice. I feel kinda sick now.
I actually spent a lot of time talking with one of these scammers. I feel really bad now because she actually seemed like a really nice person, intelligent, funny, great conversationalist, etc. Of course I always knew it was a scam, so I was just messing with her. But knowing she might have been forced into it makes me feel really bad about it. I hope she's okay whoever she is.
I pray that those who have been forced to this will get their freedom and have their masters brought to justice
Wow!!! So much in this video! Thank you for making it, and all the effort you put into this! As much as I’d like to talk about the other stuff in the video, I do just have to say it must’ve been incredible. When the hive ran somewhere people were trying to extort victims, and the FBI already had the creds, giving them out to the victims?! So like, they’re thinking they’re gonna get the money from these people and then they end up having the info to decrypt their stuff ?!
Actually wait- wtf?!! They MUST have been tipped off by that how were they still operating/trying this stuff for 7 months after the FBI had their door into the op? Somethig doesn’t make sense there, no?
That hackers profile is just beautiful. Cyberpunk is now.
Babe wake up, seytonic posted
Holy fucking bingle :3
This stuff never gets old. I appreciate all the work you do!

6:43 the second paragraph is quite ironic
Imagine how easy it was to get around Apple's reviews.
That's one hell of a title you got there lol

wow, great job fbi. 7 months and all they manage is to seize the server they could have seized 7 months ago
happens in thailand too, they lure people and traffic them to cambodia for the scam call center.
Only if scammer payback knew about this sooner
How ironic ... the nofly list now has a new entry from the person who discovered it lol😂
simps, scammers, and crytocurrency - the ultimate trifecta
Also, Seytonic; what kind of electronics business do you have? Really curious as I’m trying to start my own business again sometime too! Thanks!!!
Maybe this is normal in Ohio
Thanks for the great video!
FYI, I used to work IT support and we pronounced it "Sophos" not "Sophos"
You are using the same word what's the difference
I pronounce this like the Greek word that means wise, sofόs
@@stavros222 The joke is that there is more than one way of saying it but they both look the same written. Seyonic pronounces it "Sow-fos", I pronounce it "Soh-fos", but you can't really communicate that seeing the word written normally.
@@stavros222 Similar to how I used to pronounce Linux where the "Li" sounds like "Lie", but then I found out the "Li" is pronounced the same as the same letters in the word "Lid".
@@stavros222 bro completely missed the joke
Nice, thanks for pointing out holes in apples infrastructure
I've never heard of an app that is only available at the end of the day. That's weird.

You say that like slavery doesn’t still exist in the rest of the world.
thanks, mate.
The hive😂 Oh no, somebody called the teen titans
Great video as always. Do you have plans on talking about Riot Games being hacked some days ago?
Good stuff... Happy Sunday.

I never hear about this app
the server swap thing is also used by pirated copies of minecraft on the google play 😂
nofly zone list was circulating over the net forums for a while though (onoly for vip memebers)

Found this video just now haha! This was happening to me, was talking to someone for over a month. But as soon as crypto was mentioned it became apparent what it really was haha

this is why i do not approve the use of web frameworks on android. Keeping things local is important for performance and quality.

I love it when FBI/law enforcement hold the press conference involving cybersecurity.... And use the oldest ass looking guys to stand up there.
Guys that probably dont own a computer. 😁👍 I know it's not like the actual team members would show their faces or whatever but it always makes me chuckle and I secretly hope it is these old dudes.

"Beware an old man who plays in a game where people die young"
Something like that .....some James bond type shit I don't remember exactly 😁
Are you telling me that Apple's app store doesn't even verify the hash of the package when performing an update? Wow.
It could be just a browser delivering only content from one website that is under their control and apple can't verify how it works unless a used send a complaint to apple if it's even possible. You never used an app that happened to change in appearance overnight (I think Facebook used to do it - I haven't used it for almost two years now so I can't tell if they're doing it still)?
@@Victor_Marius Yeah but if they're too lazy to even check the file hash on download, geez. That's sad. Not like a long or complicated procedure - in PowerShell it's a single function Get-FileHash.
@@StephenGillie learn about electron apps for Windows. Similar app can be done for any platforms (iOS or android). The app is based and very similar to a browser. The hash of Google Chrome changes when a website updates its UI. Appstore cannot see what content a user gets by using the app in the future (after a week from lunching). The hash never changes because the app never changes. Only their website changes and apple cannot verify that unless an employee tests the app manually which is unlikely unless (maybe) someone reports to apple the app is shady or whatever.
@@Victor_Marius Electron apps run basically one website, so their hash should not change. They're basically the Windows version of Android apps, which are basically zipped websites. Again, hash checking for these should be trivial and a key part of the verification process, to ensure that the bits committed by the developer are the same ones as received by the user.
Chrome's hash in memory might change with every website, but the hash on disk doesn't change, and this is what I'm discussing. Pulling an SHA256, GETting a webpage, and performing a diff takes milliseconds today. There's no excuse for an app store to not perform this basic safety check. It puts everyone at risk for basically no cost.
@@StephenGillie they don't even need to change the website. Only what the website delivers. I doubt a hash can check for that. Only old fashion app testing will do that...done by real people and not automated.
The first few minutes of you explaining how the app and scam works sounds an awful lot like how real financial apps like robin-hood work like 💀
What do you think it's going to happen with Bitcoin? There will be one day when someone is going to break it or already knows how to do it. They are not even sure who created it or if he's still alive. It doesn't even have to be a software issue, just a global internet shutdown caused by a third world war and I wonder what happens with all those billions invested. Only gold is eternal.
Of course the airline was from Ohio 😭😭
