UCI World Cup Pal Arinsal - Lapierre Mavic Unity

Six weeks after the last World Cup, it was time to travel to Pal Arinsal (Andorra) for the fifth round of this season. This circuit has been part of the World Cup for many years; it was the World Championship in 2015 and will be again next year. It's a natural track with steep climbs, rock gardens, and root-filled descents that can turn into a real nightmare in case of rain. Furthermore, it's located at an altitude of 2000m, affecting the performance of all riders.
After a few scorching days of training, including the short track on Friday, the rain arrived, and temperatures dropped to 7°C. These tough conditions didn't stop us from having a great race; Thomas Litscher achieved his best result of this season with an eighth plac, just 30 seconds away from the podium.
