P5 feels like a royal (pun intended) pain to adapt because its so long so but its even crazier that they’re doing Royal content and that they may not even finish until 2030 because they still have like 3 arcs to go with Shido, the end of Mementos and the third semester. The “best” adaptations seems to be Mementos Missions and the Daybreakers OVA. They don’t try to adapt anything and be their own complementary side piece. And it helps that Mementos Mission is actually nice looking and gives Joker an actual personality.
How my friend and I learned of this manga's existence was funny. The 10th volume has haru as the cover. While going through a book store together (while out on a trip in another city), I point to it and say "that girl looks like Haru" and then he pulls the book out and says "BECAUSE IT IS HARU HAHA" and I was like "no way, I thought it was just a shoujo manga or something based off the girl holding flowers. I then bought it (the 10th release was the latest at the time) and I read it on our 2 hour train ride back to our city. And I thought "man this adaptation sucks, but it's only the 10th volume and I missed all the previous so it's whatever" I sought out the rest and well... I was initially right.
If there's one thing I *will* give the manga props for, it's Sojiro's introduction. The game has him acting hyper-aggressive to the point that even when you find out *why* he took Joker in, and get to know him better, it honestly feels jarring to see it again on a replay because of how unnecessary it is. It feels like he's kicking a kid who's already down about his situation just because. Wheras the manga tones it down enough that whenever he talks about the probation to Akira, it comes off more as blunt advice than an insult, which sets the foundation much better. Especially since this and Mementos Mission are the only mediums that showcase Joker actually being *traumatized* by what Shido did to him. Is it a masterpiece? No far from it sadly, didn't think anyone could make Morgana ugly asf until I read it. But like the anime, some of the deviations from the game plot are kinda nice.
This is mostly the battle shonen fan in me speaking but i find rly disappointing that so few persona adaptations have good fights, i feel like the series has a lot of potential for unique fighting choreography.
That's because Sae's palace is the *current* arc still (as of making this comment) 😂😭 There's been a *lot* of hiatuses throughout this entire manga, especially recently
It had a lot of hilarious moments and Joker talked more, meaning we got to hear more of Xander Mobus' fantastic voice acting. I personally think it could've been better though, like with how the all-out attacks and the Satanael awakening felt less impactful.
mementos mission on top
I love that side story it's so good. Plus the artstyle is nice compared to the main manga
Man, I loved it.
FOR REAL

This series is hard to make adaptations of for various reasons.

But hey at least it’ll be the only other thing to have Sumi’s actual name officially released other than royal

It's still ongoing, if I'm not mistaken.

1:14 song?
Sophia's shop from persona 5 strikers
Waiting for the manga to get to the Shido fight
I wish I could downvote this video a lot of times.
I'm disappointed with persona 5 story in general
nah its a amazing story
@zukosvfx but poorly executed
And what parts are poorly executed? I thought it was pretty good.
The Anime was pretty good though

@@charlescalvinfromtriplethr9712 Xander Mobus in the anime.... wasn't the best performance.
