Hey guys, great video. FYI, my first time climbing Shasta was 1998. Spent 10 days up there training to do crevasse rescue. Easy hike very fun. Glissading was a hoot. Looks like you hade a great time. Brett & Becky love your vids.
Aww thank you so much! So glad you enjoy our videos ☺️☺️ Thats so cool that you spent 10 days there doing a crevasse rescue training. We really want to get some more crevasse rescue training someday!
I’ve never heard it called “Shaw-sta” before. In Northern California and Southern Oregon, the first syllable rhymes with “bath”. Wikipedia says “SHASS-tə”. Or am I missing something?
Great video! The mountain climbing ones have always been my favorite 😊

You are right I am pronouncing it wrong! Apparently I mispronounce names of places in my own country as well as everywhere else 😆😂
Northern CA is just totally different than Southern CA.

We put our helmets on during the steep section. You can see them at around 7:23
