I'd love to see more of the actual settings used during setups. Like some screenshots of the setting screens or videos of you programming them . :) Channels used for each device, channel width, total ssid's, firewall info, how much bandwidth your giving to each device? QOS?Etc. Don't think any of the wild fans will bump into those access points in the stands or rip on the wires? :)
Mang, those pre-covid-19 days, we all miss them! the deployment of the Cambium equipment & results looked very promising. I would be interested upon returning to see how the outdoor devices handle the season's as well. Excellent video (very pro!), as usual Chris & Tom (both have kickass channels), yes some more like this one day!
This was great! I wish I would have known you and Tom were going to be in Pittsburgh then, you are two of my favorite TH-camrs. I agree with the other commenters, more videos like this would be appreciated.
I'm always amazed because without thinking about it. You would imagine that physical cables to anywhere that needed internet. And don't usually realized how many WISP connections there are.
Are you able to discuss (via reply here or in another video) why you selected the Cambium hardware over any of the Ubiquiti (airMAx or Unifi) solutions? I am interested in insights as to whether this decision was based on, price, performance, features, etc. Great video, thanks again for all the content you put out there.
I’m curious how your iPhone was able to connect to an AP so far away. I was always under the impression small mobile devices didn’t have the power to push it back to the AP.
Really cool but I'm looking at thr brackets on those one poles don't you worry about windage messing them up? I'm in the UK and the ratio for bracket to pole is about 1 to 4.
The cables are exposed in the video which connect into the APs. They should be covered all the way inside a flexible or solid conduit to avoid weather damage over time.
@@AstroCraftHD Regardless of rating, conduit provides far superior protection, especially in extreme climates like the NE. Outdoor-rated cable means the jacket is generally UV rated. If it is Gel filled outdoor rated that means it would have superior moisture resistance, regardless of that conduit once again provides superior and long-term protection as even outdoor-rated cable will degrade and is susceptible to exposure/damage issues being exposed.
Are the Cambium products easy to configure, or easier than Ubiquiti? I have no problem with Ubiquiti. Does the Cambium company provide good documentation or must you be certified in their training/certified programs (if any)??? I notice TH-cam is hit and miss on Cambium examples. By the way, Awesome video, one of your absolute best.
Would have been nice to see how they were actually using the network. How the stats were being collected and from pit area to the press box. This was cool seeing real world usage cases for point to point wifi.
Great video as always but I have a question. I did not compare the technical specs of the equipment, so I'm sorry if there would be an obvious reason for or against. But could you still answer the question: What was the design decision for the used products and what reasons where aginst ubnt equipment?
FiOS doesn’t even offer 150/150 here in Tampa. I believe slowest you can get is 300/300. I have 1G/1G for $60 but I normally get about 1.5G-1.7G. They also have a 2.5G package for about $150. They even include Eero system w/ 3units.
Can cabium e510 be use to extend Wifi at 2.5km distance and if not which cabium outdoor WiFi device can be used for 2.5km range to allow phones connect to hotspot.
I would love to see even bigger colaboration some time in the future. Crosstalk Solutions, Willie Howe, Lawrence Systems... and who ever else could be found and willing to do a youtube video on a side... Perheaps even multipart multichannel colaboration, each talking about different aspect of the same project. You know... Bit of Dick Wolf style crossover.
hullo chris, this is WERE from uganda. i have an issue with epmp 2000 with ten subscribers hunging without transmitting data till you unplug the power source and plug it back every six to ten hours uptime. thanks
can you used the same initial IP setup for at&t modem an Xfinity already done it on xfinity modem now i need to set up 2 units on at&t Modem please let me know thanks

WTF? No UBNT?! This is nothing short of an outright betrayal!!! Cool video though. You've got a really geeky team there. Good job guys.
This is cool, you should do more of these videos - actual deployments of networking devices is very interesting.
Thanks - I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I agree, I hope to see more of this
Love that you are there with Tom Lawrence! The two best TH-cam channels around for all things voip/networking/firewall/etc.
I saw that too.
great work, so much editing and time put in to this for sure.

Yeah, this is great stuff! The whole team did great work and I especially enjoyed you and Tom on the same video. Keep it up!
Great video. I'd love to one showing how the equivalent Ubiquiti products would perform in a similar set up.
What are the pros and cons of cambium versus ubiquiti?

Really great content. Love the deployment as well as the crossover with fellow TH-camrs.

Nice video as always Chris! Fun fact as a German Viewer: "Zufall" means "coincidence" in german :)
Yep!
I'm always amazed because without thinking about it. You would imagine that physical cables to anywhere that needed internet. And don't usually realized how many WISP connections there are.
It's nice to see Tom from Lawrence tech on the video
Great video. Nice to see an install and results. Nice products too. Enjoyed watching this. I'm a wireless geek as well. Can't get enough of it. LOL
Who else though by the thumbnail thought he was reviewing some sort of IP-RC Car that you controlled via WiFi or something? 😄
Maybe I did...you'll just have to watch till the end!

+1 for this question
Cambium provided the gear for free. I’m curious though if Chris would’ve picked Cambium over Ubiquiti if this wasn’t the case.
Great video. Love seeing real world applications and installations. Who else thought the ground announcer could have been Chris's brother?
Haha. Except for the part where I'm old enough to be his father!
What about grounding and/or PoE/ethernet surge protection for those antennas and poles?
This video was amazing, to see a crappy network come into a beast network, and great to see Tom in the video
@ 0:25... "Wiress"?
...Is that a female cable?
great video. thank you for taking the time to make it
I’m curious how your iPhone was able to connect to an AP so far away. I was always under the impression small mobile devices didn’t have the power to push it back to the AP.
You dont need much power when the receiving antenna has a high gain.
Also the AP probably has a super high sensitivity
looks perfect. the open situation it should work great.
And Lawrence guys? Nice. Great channels
awesome video! great work, thank you from one of the fans in the stands. only bad thing I can no longer tell the wife I have no reception, lol
8:08 How can your phone send the signal back so far?
Dream team put together! love the video.
Really cool but I'm looking at thr brackets on those one poles don't you worry about windage messing them up? I'm in the UK and the ratio for bracket to pole is about 1 to 4.
Great video chris, please do more live projects like this.
What routing and switching was used at the track? There was no mention of that.

Spy NZ It is outdoor rated cable.

I'm excited to see more of Cambium now that they aquired Xirrus!
Such a large space to fill with WIFI! Looks like a fun job.
What a great video. Editing is spot on too. Well done. :-)
How is it after all the comments that came before me no one pointed out your t-shirt? TCP-IP!!! Where did you get that? So awesome Angus!
Would you have recommended ubiquiti for this project?
I wonder the same thing...

Well done Chris and shout out to Lawerence as well.

Great video, the in the field stuff is great.
Chris rockin' that Alienware laptop...still have my M11X, it's my 6 year old's school laptop now :)
Great video. So cool. Keep 'em coming!
Why not ubiquity equipment ?
When you're getting the gear donated you don't refuse it.
Can't read between the lines? Ubiquiti sucks compared to Cambium... of course Cambium is bit pricey, you need pay for quality.
Great vibes you guys , have a good 1 and keep smiling :-)

nice install, nice equipment, nice guys.. + racetrack.. cant go wrong..
Can we get more of this staff and more in depth + more WISP + how to?
Awesome job. What is being used for router and switches.

Do have list of equipment that you used for this? Just curious. Would love to see a video on the setup.
Yes! It's in the description.
@@CrosstalkSolutions Thank you... not sure how I missed that :)
Are cambium better than ubnt ? i want to set a PTMP
azim v3nom same question
Can cabium e510 be use to extend Wifi at 2.5km distance and if not which cabium outdoor WiFi device can be used for 2.5km range to allow phones connect to hotspot.
Do you know if you can get similar coverage of 320m away from the position of a CnPilot E500 omni directional radio in the exact same environment?
I'm waiting to see the video

Great Video, really enjoyed it!
So is it too hot at the stands???
Are you walking on signal?
Love these "in the field" videos. What are your thoughts on Cambium buying Xirrus?
No zip ties on the wires coming off the devices?
two words, "Cable Management"

That comment was quite a roller coaster ride.
Zip Ties? Cable management?
If my guy did a crap job like that he would redo it
Enjoyed that ;)
Great video .....tks
Wow, that’s my neck of the woods, kinda.
hey cris whys taking it too long, to go live?
Posse getting an upgrade, eh? 'Dem Sprints!
So close wish I would have known, could have used your services.
I would have thought that a high-power WIFI tower would have been the solution of choice.
No unifi eqipment there then tut tut tut
When you speak German and somebody is called Zufall, which means random in English.
Those wooden bleachers are in scary condition
You spelled wireless wrong in the intro ☹️
Damn...looks like the whole video's ruined then.
Wait is that tom?
"Zufall" means "coincidence" in German :) So it's "coincidence communication"

Dirt track racing! Looks like hobby stocks, modifieds, and sprint cars. We have Grays Harbor raceway in Elma WA.
