you see: the abilities of Moria's Shadow Shadow Fruit allows him to snip off shadows from people and pluck them into dead bodies like a bear rug or corpse. what happened during the events on Thriller Bark though shows that you can feed salt to the zombies and the shadows were "purified" from their bodies. so when victims or Moria's shadow theft learned this, they also learned that shadows when separated from the zombie can be caught and contained. with them, they can push those shadows into other people, missing shadows or not, and use whatever physical powers or abilities like, say, able to use master swordsmen skills into that person.
so the no is that: if a user of one of the shadows has a Devil Fruit Power, that power will not be retained with the shadow since the shadow didn't eat the fruit. that's why Oars when resurrected with Luffy's shadow didn't turn into a giant Rubber Zombie.

The "Rubberman" ability mostly helps him with his other gears. Because his whole body is rubber, he can inflate his body like a balloon and pump blood thru his body faster. Except for certain contextual abilities, all of Luffy's abilities revolve around that fact.
The courrent arc that's going on the manga seams to be the last arc the series will have, so yeah, it's predicted to end.
The author of One Piece confirmed that the MANGA is in its final saga, meaning the last few arcs. He said he wants to finish the series in 3-5 years. The anime however, is about a year or so behind the manga, so we can expect the anime to last a little longer.

@@DerekOnTopp I actually did the math and looked up all Arcs, and ever since the Time skip, all Arcs have an Avaerage of about 1-0.88 Chapters a Episode with the exeption of Reverie which has 12 Episodes while it has only 6 Chapters meaning it has an Average of 0.5 Chapters per Episode, so you still wanna tell me that Toeis Pacing isnt bad, because it is, you can look it up yourself and do the math and you will get the same result

Technically Luffy only had two abilities, that being his Devil Fruit (which is just rubber powers) and Haki. It's just a matter of his imagination that he comes up with everything he can do.

His literal abilities are stretching like rubber and awakening is making things stretch like rubber... There is the other aspect of his power to bringing joy and laughter to people but that brings nothing to combat.
If you are talking about stuff like Red Hawk the video says it's due to speed and therefore friction... which normal people like Sanji (before he gained biological abilities) did before Luffy.
I also literally say Haki which might have more to do with the flames as other people have done elemental type of attacks with no reasoning as to why. For Example, Doflamingo can make a flaming string but why? What has flames got anything to do with strings? Sabo can make gusts of wind before he even had a Devil Fruit.

Except Luffy has literal immunity to lightning which is a rubber thing and in Manga when revealed as Sun God Nika Devil Fruit it was literally only described by the Elders as giving the user's body the properties of rubber and that the awakening only strengthens their rubber powers.
And yes, it says the limitation is imagination but you can say the same for Kajuro's Devil Fruit who can literally draw up and bring to life ANYTHING including a fiery ghost thing that was completely intangible and set fire to anything it passed through...
You ask me Kajuro's Devil Fruit is more so limitless than Luffy's 😂 Can literally create a near invincible fire ghost.
That's the thing, right? Luffy's absurdly strong, but what do you do against someone so powerful that their hobby is attempted suicides? Or against someone that can, say, see the future, or someone who can turn into a living beam of light and burn things apart at light-speed? Big Mom can literally just grab someone and rip their lifespan away to give it to other objects, bringing them to life. And this includes things like sentient fireballs and stormclouds.
Luffy seems overpowered out of context, but put that into the perspective of a world where someone has ice abilities so strong they permanently changed the climate of an entire island as a side-effect of them winning a fight. Crap in this series gets wild! There is just a dude who uses his magnet powers to turn scrap into laser canons that can also magnetize YOUR BODY so you're just stuck to the floor as he blasts you to bits with his freaking canon!!!

I trust Oda to not have gear 4 waste away into irrelevance just bc of gear 5. I mean to this day ludfy is still using all his gears... what I would love to see is gear 5 variants of gear 4. So like a gear 5 bounce man, snake man, and tank man. That would be absolutely awesome.
Tbf, even if gear 4 became irrelevant, it's had its shine. He relied on it for hundreds of episodes, so it wouldn't exactly be a "waste" either way

A big drawback of gear 4 was the haki drain. I'm sure it made it difficult to use advanced observation and stuff like that. Hopefully gear 5 lets him use gear 4 in bursts to save stamina (like how he uses gear 2 in bursts)

Luffy has eaten more food than anyone else in anime. I forget the video but it included Goku and Toriko. Luffy ate 10 foot tall biscuits that had the density of iron for 10 hours straight or something.
Luffy's gomu-gomu no mi (or Hito-Hito no mi Model Nika) is actually one of the most Broken fruits in One Piece because luffy can do literally everything he can think of, and if he would become aware of that, he would literally become unstopable (but he still needs to maximize all of his Haki to its absolute limit untill it dosent go higher anymore to become truly unstopable)
It's understandable in a sense, because of his wild imagination and insane creativity, he can do whatever he wants, unlike other df users who are more serious and tense during battles and such.
Most df users focus too much on enhancing their current skills and training that they completely overlook the fact that anything is possible with many fruits when they experiment with their df.

The Creator of One Piece predicted that it'll finish in 3 Years or so. Btw Gear 5 has not released in the Anime as yet and Luffy's Character and Abilities, just like Goku from DBZ is an incarnation of the god known by many as "The Monkey King", "Son Wukong" and "Son Goku". The Monkey King has a Weapon which is a Staff that extends, Goku has a similar Staff that extends as well and Luffy's extendable Staff is actually his Rubber Limbs that stretches. The Monkey King also rides on a Cloud, Goku rides on a Cloud as well called "Nimbus", Luffy will also be able to ride a Cloud in Gear 5 I believe. Lastly the Monkey King has the Ability to shapeshift, in a way Goku shapeshifts by constantly Transforming into different Super Saiyan Forms as well as the Great Ape when he has a Tail under a Full Moon, the same goes for Luffy where he Transforms into Shadow Luffy, Gear 2, Gear 3, Gear 4 (Bounce Man, Tank Man and Snake Man) and eventually Gear 5. So basically Monkey D. Luffy and Son Goku are kind of the same person since they both are incarnations of the same concept known as "The Monkey King", "Son Wukong" and "Son Goku", Goku even has the same name as him so, it's very obvious for him.

To answer your question, theoretically I believe Luffy is capable of stretching his arms around the world, however, it takes him a long time to stretch that far, and only a little less time to retract it back towards him, stretching his arms beyond his field of vision is a risk, someone could come across his arm and cut it when he doesn't suspect it and he cannot retract it fast enough to escape the attack. It's a pretty surefire way to lose an arm.

To clarify, the video neglected to inform that ryou is a synonym for haki. In actuality, it should be called advanced ryou or advanced armament haki (busho in Japanese)
There’s a clear distinction made in Wano as well. Ryou (Haki as described by citizens of Wano) is more of an invisible armor that can be used offensively. While it only attacks the outer structure of things. Ryou could possibly just mean to refer to Advanced Haki which attacks things internally making it far more impactful. Dealing tons of damage. Lastly, luffy is one of many rare characters who can coat his haki entirely in conqueror’s Haki. (which is advanced conquerors haki) This is present in his fight with Kaido.
Ryou also flows differently but it’s the more or less the same concept as haki.

the only thing wrong here is that you don't actually lose your techniques, it's more like copied over. example being brook using his techniques against his own shadow but still losing cuz the body of the shadow belonged to a higher skilled swordsman

What I love about one piece is that their are not so over powered. Thats why it's easier to get surprise everytime luffy have new feats cuz you can easilly appreciate it. I like how slow they developed unlike other animes like naruto where he get some power boost from the sage of six pats he gain so much powers from it. Specially Re Incarnated Animes they are so easy to get so powerful that it doesnt surprise me anymore, since I can almost predict what is going to happen everytime. Unlike Sun God. Luffy was slowly developing through the fight and after that the sun god is showned. But even with that form he was still struggling! Unlike other forms like gokus Ultra Instinct he so strong that jiren has no chance agains him. But Sun god luffy vs kaido was like on par. It's fun becuz their like best friends doing some school fights.

When he grabs the lightning out of the sky during his final fight against kaido he turned it into rubber and grabbed it as a weapon
