    In the mountains of Armenia my brother in law with a German geologist have found and took a photo of a petroglyph where a fight of 2 men against a typic tyrannosaurus is depicted. More precisely, one of the people lies on the ground wounded or dead, and the second protects him with a spear or stick from the lizard.
    The lizard, in fact, is not a Tyrannosaurus rex, but a smaller variety of it, which, judging from fossil records, was widespread in the Armenian highland

One being the life and death and reresection of Jesus Historically proven.

    • @sjl197
      @sjl197 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BrianJonesOneClearChoice Hi. Well, evolutionary biology is a subset of biology, which is a subset of science. This is as much of a fact, and moreso that much of what you then claim to be factual. That said, let's perhaps shift first to where we can perhaps agree. I also think the bible contains much which can be seen as historical facts, especially in the new testament. Here, i mean many reported aspects that tie against (and hence supported by) other external evidence which independently is inline with same narrative like archeology, or less securely by other stated accounts, most notably those written by other authors. However, i would take pause to say that much said about the life of Jesus really does not seem to me as secure as you seem to favour. I would strongly disagree about your statement on the resurection as 'historically proven' - it absolutely is not proven. Firstly, the claim of resurrection after death is of course counter to (almost) any such event in humanity history - or even that of any animal. The idea of Jesus' resurrection is an extraordinary claim, which of course makes it so remarkable to Christians. However, it is not the only claimed case, as similar extrordinary claims exist for supposed resurrection for Osiris in Egypt, Tammuz in Mesopotamia, Quetzalcóatl in Mexico, etc. If stick to bible though, I find it amazing how easily forgotton Lazarus of Bethany became, even though he too was said to be resurrected. Anyway, to focus back on the beloved Jesus, what there is are essentially four different accounts, seemingly written many years later by people who were not directly involved in the events. Add in some scholars favor that the account of Matthew seems to largely adapted from Mark possibly earlier account, hence lacks independance. There's also a rather indirect statement by Paul to the Corinthians, that you might want to treat as eye-witness. Even if the accounts are independendant, each vary in several aspects of the narrative, which a modern court case in the western world would rightly treat with skeptisim and caution if such differing accounts were presented as evidence. So, i'm really not sure how you can jump from what's said in those differing (and possibly non-independant) accounts, mostly written long after the event, to somehow 'historically proven'. i really cannot fathom how you seem willing to gladly accept those as 'true' or in your words ‘proven’, yet seem so willing to dismiss evolution (or rather evolutionary biology) as unfounded? It partly seems you've partly misunderstood the scientific word theory is, if so let’s first address that. A theory in scientific terminology has been explained multiple times as a "well-substantiated explanation", "based on a body of facts that have been repeatedly confirmed", a concept which differs strongly from the common usage of 'theory' as more akin to a premise or a hypothesis. How we define science is more tricky, but your idea of 'testing assumptions' can be part of core concept of falsifiability. That's only one facet of science, but if using that then i would strongly disagree with you there too - much of evolutionary biology including all the core concepts have been subject to 'testing' in many various ways, and the concepts remain robust to the continued addition of new evidence from multiple sources. Your beloved "historically proven" resurrection is in essence five cases of testimony, only one as eyewitness. Modern psychology has repeatedly shown how unreliable eye witnesses can be due to failure of memory, bias, and even willful embelishment. Yet worse, four of your five sources are several years after the alledged event, at best interpreting word of mouth hearsay. So please, let's hear how you say any of that is 'historically proven'.

      @@gohan3448 How do we know that this point in time is exactly 4.54 billion years in the past?
      The most important tool for dating things is the half-life of radioactive atoms. Every radioactive atom has a so-called half-life. That is the time, when there is exactly a 50% chance that it fell apart. Quantum mechanically, it is impossible to predict exactly when an atom will spontaneously fall apart. We can only say something about the probability of an atom falling apart. Fortunately for these measurements, there are a lot of atoms. The time when 50% of, say, a billion atoms have fallen apart, is precisely known, by the law of large numbers.
      There are atom types that have half-lives of hundreds of millions of years or more. Well-known examples are uranium-235, uranium-238 and thorium-232 (the number after the element name indicates the number of particles in the atomic nucleus). Radioactive decay occurs in only a few well-known ways. For example, an atom can emit an alpha particle, i.e. a helium nucleus: the atomic number then drops by two and there are two neutrons and two protons less in the remaining nucleus. Beta decay is also common: an atomic nucleus then ejects an electron and thereby moves up one place in the periodic table. A well-known series of decay reactions is that of uranium-238 in lead-206. Crystals of a pure uranium-containing mineral naturally contain no lead, because lead behaves chemically very differently from uranium. The more lead there is, the older the mineral must be. The amount of lead in uranium-containing meteorites relative to the amount of uranium is so high that they have been dated to be around 4.54 billion years old. Meteorites have formed in the protoplanetary disk. Therefore, we know that this disk existed around 4.54 billion years ago and so the Earth must be slightly younger than this date. The oldest known minerals on Earth, zirconium crystals from the Jack Hills of Australia, and where these measurements were taken, were not much younger, at around 4.4 billion years old. Hence we can say with great certainty that the earth is between 4.5 and 4.6 billion years old.

    Also, fun fact(s): there's a legend of a creature called the Kongomoto that lives in the Congo Rainforest in Africa which is described as being just like a pterosaur. In fact, one man who claimed to be attacked by a Kongomoto described it, was shown an illustration of a pterosaur, & claimed that it was the creature that attacked him. Additionally, a type of fish called the Coelacanth which lived at the same time as the dinosaurs (in the regards of believers in secularism) was believed to be long extinct with them... until it was discovered in the modern age by deep sea fishermen (that is, fishermen who fish for deep sea fish) off the east coast of Africa.

      Coelacanths are an order of fish, not a single species. The two species alive today are not anything like the many species found in the fossil record. The large gap between ancient and modern Coelacanths is due to how rare fossilization is, and the problem of where the fish lived. Since they only live in deep sea caves, we'd only be able to find them throughout the gap if deep sea cave systems eroded in every layer between the Mesozoic and modern periods. Even then, there'd still be no guarantee the fish would even have fossilized in spots we'd be able to dig in.

    I am a Christian. I believe in God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I have watched many of these videos espousing the young earth philosophy. And I ask, "why". Why do Christians use their time and energy trying to convince Christians and non-Christians that the Earth is 6000 years old? It is such folly! You don't know how God created the Earth and the Heavens. There are MANY interpretations of Genesis. Experts in theology differ in their interpretations of the true meanings of Genesis. Arrogant men, burdened by their egos, insist that their opinions and interpretations are "true".
    I do not believe that the Earth and the Universe are only 6000 years old. That does not make me any less a Christian or any less a Believer than those who insist otherwise. God was and is capable of creating all that exists in any way He chose. Stop arguing over the details of how he chose to do so! God is Love. Self-righteous ego is not.

      Because Bible is the only Truth. The real history book. Secular world uses their doctrines to mislead the youth today. Christian should not compromise in God's Word and His authority, IMHO.
      In God's eyes, only truth and lies. Yes or no. No grey area. Biblical view is important. It is the only truth. If they can alter a small truth like this, then they can say Jesus is just like fairy tale, that's exactly what the enemy plans, to confuse and challenge the Bible. They are already saying it, Christianity is just one of the many religions. It's wrong. Religions are man doctrines not of God, lies. Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with Jesus Christ, God. Think about how the devil deceived Eve, with just a small twist.
      Teaching our kids from young with Bible stories as foundation is important. They will be challenged by the world view. If their foundation is not strong, they can be easily swayed. May Abba Father have mercy and grace upon our youths and help them stand firm in God's truth.
      They are not trying to convince people, because without The Holy Spirit no one can see the Truth. Only God can change a person's heart. They are witnessing God's Truth. The rest is in God's hands. Our job as a Christian is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and share God's truth.

    • @avi8r66
      @avi8r66 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ok, let's correct your programming a bit.
      You do not need to 'know everything' to be an atheist. Not even close.
      You simply need to have enough of a grasp on reality, and some critical thinking skills, and refuse to grant exceptions just to make a story work out the way you like it. In other words, you need to have a consistent standard of evidence for any claims that are important in your life. If someone tells you they will sell you a bridge for $10 you are right to demand some evidence they have the right to do this. It's a very basic thing people usually learn early in life.
      Well, same here. Someone tells you that there is a supernatural being watching your every moving, that will sit in judgement over you, and that it demands you live your life a certain way, and give money to his representatives, they should have some credible evidence that you can verify satisfactorily to back that claim up.
      Theism lacks anything resembling credible evidence. So, preachers and apologists have gone to a lot of trouble to create pseudo evidence, and this video is a beautiful example of what I am talking about. To make this 'evidence' work they are asking you to ignore reality, to not do any valid research, to make exceptions to allow for their story to be true. Their phd holders are shills, unethical people willing to take money to fabricate false 'science' and data. Bodie is one, another is Steve Austin, there are quite a few. They know how the science works so they also know how to do what looks like real science to an outsider but get results they want, or, results that make the tech look unreliable. They do this all the time to try and discredit radiometric dating, something that is highly reliable on a consistent basis and is widely used in a number of ways.

It's a solid fact. Nothing that is dead ever arises into life all by itself - of its own accord. And get this - those just-died biological entities have their constituents in mostly the right biological order - yet they cannot perform the simple trick of kick-starting themselves back into life.
