This thing, like 95% of the shit that turns up on Kickstarter and Indiegogo, will never ever be put into production - They will take people's contributions and run with the money, knowing that the small print on both of those websites allows them to do so...
How durable are the filters? Like is it use twice and the filter is corroded and destroyed? Or are they built to last a few weeks at sea at least per filter
You can pick up a cheap hydrometer for around 12$ ....Tds and salinity are 2 completely different things it would be nice to see an actual salinity reduction instead of total dissolved solids.
It looks like a nice idea, but I wonder if they could just hook it up to a 12v system?? I cant see myself or anyone cranking that thing for 2 liters of water per hour. YOu probably sweat more than you produce!
Exactly - Every survival expert out there would tell you not to bust your ass for two hours just for 2L of water... Funkteon I concur most likely snake oil , these 3 guys in Dubai can’t even pick up an actual 14$ hydrometer to measure salinity smdh..... any one with common knowledge understands there’s many elements in ocean water besides salt ie calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphates, nitrates etc.... tds meter just gives false positives www.amazon.com/AQUARIA-MARINELND-EDWARDSVILLE-02503-Hydrometer/dp/B005WZW2SG/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=saltwater+hydrometer&qid=1628344289&sr=8-3

@@Funkteon yea they are better off attaching a solar array and a little pump. Even if it’s slow at least it would be automated.
There is
