Hey Corinna I wanted to give you a quick tip for those stacked singles you like so much! I know you didn't use them in this pattern, but maybe next time you can try it this way: after you make your first single, go through the first loop, not the second/forward loop. Essentially the front loop only of the single crochet you just made, pull up a loop, and make the second single crochet. I found that this way ends up looking a lot more like a regular double crochet and blends in with the others so much better! I used to hate the stacked singles, because I thought they looked wonky and always stretched out weird, but I tried it this way on a whim one day and now I love them lol. Just wanted to share that with you, hope you can get some use out of it! ❤️
I can't wait to crochet this for myself! This is so beginner friendly. You even make the belt look easy! I absolutely love that you can laugh at yourself. You had me laughing and really enjoying your video. Thank you!
I was literally just looking for a pattern like this!!! You are amazing! I really love how you highlight vintage patterns. We're not so far apart in age but because you do so much vintage it makes me feel more connected to my mother, grandmothers, and great grandmother! I never met my great grandmother but she learned to crochet while she lived in a nursing home in the 70s/80s. She was born in late 1800s and lived to her 90s! She made tons of afghans and I'm lucky enough to have grown up with 2 of them in our home and now have them in my first home I've bought with my husband. One is a scrappy chevron pattern and the other is just double crochet but with red white and blue like a flag. She made it for the bicentennial celebration in 1975. They just mean so much to me and it makes me excited to do these old patterns thinking my great grandmother could have made it or just seen the pattern. Maybe that's silly..
Not silly!!! There is much comfort and joy in having those special things around from your family. I have some of those things, too. I am 63 and trying to decide which nieces and nephews will get what and when I want to give them to them. ❤️
Hello Corrina, this crocheted poncho vest, turned out very nice. It looks great on you the colors match perfect with your outfit. The belt you added as a little pizzazz to it I like it. Looking forward to your next video as always, Thank you for sharing. ♥️
I love this poncho Corrina.. it is beautiful on you.. and what a great easy pattern to follow..or should I say you make it look easy..thanks for another great tutorial. Glad to see you back ❤
Your piece grows as you work because you get more relaxed and you crochet more loose. And there are those of us that seem to somehow add a stitch here and there. lol
These types of poncho/shawls are also called Ruana's. They are great and suit most body types as you don't have to use the belt if you don't want too. Yours is gorgeous.
Great job! The stitch pattern on the belt looked very much like the Alpine stitch except Alpine is a double then a triple. Very cool to know it can be done shorter and still look great. Thanks!❤
If you use hobby lobby i love this yarn, it will stretch and pull and grow like crazy! I have 2 sweaters i made my grandson at 18 months, and it fit. Hes almost 4 and now they are wayyyy too big! The duster jacket i made now has a looong sweeping bridal train!!!
This is a great poncho and I love that braiding for the edge. You look so pretty today and love those earrings. I hope James is continuing to do well. ❤
This turned out adorable and I LOVE KC yarn, especially the cotton - I use it for my amigurumi all the time. It's so soft like you said and they have finally released a whole bunch of new colors for it. Also, not to be weird, but you have a really cute body shape and you made this poncho look even better! Thanks for another great tutorial.
Edited to tell you, I've added this to my crochet playlist along with more of your other videos to make soon. I'm so glad you're back from your much needed break. I've been anxiously awaiting a new video. In the meantime, I've been rewatching some of my Just Vintage favorites. If I'm not crocheting or teaching myself to knit, I'm watching yarn craft videos.
Once again, great job! I was getting a tad nervous, I'm not used to going so long without seeing a video from you. I'm glad you're back, and I'm already looking forward to what you have in store for us this year!
I like ponchos, and swatchos and also capes like this. I guess I will play with this patterna bit. I missed "betwix" a bit lol..that got stuck with me. Thank you for intertrucing such nice things to us.
So very nice. The V-double crochet really makes everything so drapey. Agreed, with the belt, it does look like a poncho. Reminds me a bit of a Ruana (don't know how to spell that). Also, thank you for showing your Hooks and Needles boxes. I started the subscription through your link. My 4th box will be here soon. It always seems like I get the same crochet box as the one you show. Almost like a preview. Much appreciated.
I love this so much but unfortunately I'm a plus size so not able to make it. Maybe I'll try and make it for my niece though. She's super into boho style. As for the issue getting center pull yarn started....I call that the yarn barf. Just thought it would make you giggle. Have a great day!!!!!
Hi Corinna, I was wanting to make this, but where it says "get the pattern here" there is no link. Is it only available to paid subscribers or is it just not showing for me? Love the looks of this wrap, but I am going to skip a few double crochets in the back so that the belt will go through the back also. I want to be able to strap the back down and still have the side flaps sticking out freely on the sides.
It may not grow. I have a bunch of vintage yarn and patterns. You're using cotton, but Wintuk (tuck?) is not a natural fiber. I won't swear to it, but I'm pretty sure it's acrylic. It's upstairs in my spare room so I'm going by memory. When I catch up on the 6 billion projects that need to be done, I plan on making as many of the patterns using the recommended yarn as I can.

I love the old hippy boho style clothing. This pattern is up my ally. Thank you.
You are a sight for soar eyes and a sound for soar ears.

The bicentennial was in 1976.

I remember seeing my Mom crocheting this sort of wearable in the 70s. Very pretty pattern!
Your poncho came out so beautifully! And it flatters you too!
I love how customizable this pattern is! So simple because it’s just a bunch of squares!

Well, that turned out really lovely on you! If I didn't have so many unfinished projects, I'd be inclined to try this!
Oh my gosh…me too!!!!!
What a fun pattern to start the year. 😊

I love that stitch pattern. I’ve only used it with size 5 & 6 yarn for blankets, but the pattern makes for a nice dense blanket.
This is a pretty sweater/poncho, I like the length and style.
Your makeup and hair look so pretty! You look amazing 🩷
I am so happy to see you! I can’t wait to watch this pattern be done. 😊
Im a beginner and find your tutorial really helpful thank you ❤
What a cool poncho, reminds me of my childhood! Thank you ever so much for showing the gauge, sooo helpful!!! Lots of ❤️from overseas.

Good you know. I was looking at that yarn for a sweater. I'll keep looking for a suitable yarn.
@melodied4314 itsso soft, bur man, it stretches OUT.
This is a great poncho and I love that braiding for the edge. You look so pretty today and love those earrings. I hope James is continuing to do well. ❤
This looks so comfortable & easy to make.
It turned out great and looks cute on you!
Adorable! It looks great on you!
I made a baby blanket using This Stitch Pattern.
Caught my attention!! I have collected vintage patterns for a while. And you help encourage me to have the confidence to do them finally 🤗.
Love this! So versatile. I will definitely be making this.
I love watching your videos❤

Where is the pattern link? It just says "find it here" but then I can't click it. Thank you!!! ❤️

🧡
Wish I could get the hooks and needles box but it doesn't ship to my country😢 or anywhere in Europe that I could see😮
@@thorablin I’m so sorry, I do hope they will expand their logistics!!

Unfortunately I can't order those monthly boxes. I am highly allergic to lavender so it can't even come into my house. I am also allergic to wool.
There's no link to the pattern in your description girl.

Maybe its growing coz it's cotton 🤔😘
