  • Turn and Burn will be the longest stage in the Birdsboro Enduro Race. It’s a lot of fun, but will require you to pedal in a few sections. How well you can hold your focus will be the key to being competitive on this stage. You will start on Up and Over which is a relatively flowy trail. Once you make the hard left onto Turn and Burn the real fun begins. There will be some tight turns and a few rock gardens to contend with. The last section will be Kashmir, which is a fun rip with a few rocky tech bits. At the bottom you will end up on the Haycreek Trail.

FTR (Follow The Rider) is a new series focused on mountain biking one or two specific trails. It will be different from my POV videos in that there will be no b-roll or music. The goal is to give viewers a look at a complete run from start to finish.

Nice stage Sage! I love those longer stages in Enduro races, those tend to suit me a bit better than short steep ones. But I always find it very hard to corner fast on flat turns like on this trail, that's a real challenge for me. And in those rocky sections I can see some riders easily hook up a pedal on one of those rocks when crankin' hard. Not easy to be fast there! Nice ride!

Excellent point Christian. Some of those rocks could def catch a pedal if you are not careful. Thanks for the feedback brotha!

Man, I have to say it, your riding capabilities while commentating are some of the best I’ve seen. I love how your channel encourages kindness and compassion for riding. I’m sure it’s not easy to keep producing quality content but you are doing a great job! Thank you!

Thank you Chris! This comment means a lot. It's been a struggle to keep this channel growing, but I have a deep love and passion for what I do. Hope to see you on the trails someday.

Man... That little slow section between the rocks is gonna be something when you're bleeding out of the eyes from going haaarrrrrd on the pedals... So tricky going from full gas to slow to full gas, and so easy to miss-judge a gap...
    Great looking stage that Sage...

Well said Phil! I agree that section will make or break the stage for a lot of folks. Thanks for watching brotha!

Of the 4 I've seen so far, this seemed the best stage in Birdsboro Enduro for me. On that loose curve I thought: "Ohhh s**t, now Sage is going to end up in the cabbages". Very well ridden bro.

Excellent run, Sage! T&B from the top to the creek is one of my faves at Birds...but you are 100% correct that you need to know where you need to put the hammer down to maintain momentum through those rocky traverse sections or it ruins the flow. Once you get it though, it's a great ride top to bottom.

Yes! I think if I had a couple more runs on this I could have done it a lot better. Line choice and speed are your best friends. Thanks for commenting Sam!

One of my top 3 at Birdsboro. Though I have yet to fully clear that rock garden. The last drop always does me in. Can't get it out of my head. And I've never run it all the way down to the creek. Will have to try that next time.

I can see why this is one of your favorites Will. As for the rock garden, speed is your friend. Find the line and let it fly.

I just discovered this trail system this weekend. Fella at a lbs in Downingtown clued me in. I live in the dc area, so i won't get to ride often but this will probably replace Harmony Hill as my goto when we visit and i have time.
Do you have a video of dirt surfer? I stayed on rollercoaster and didnt have time to come back around as i was already cutting it close by then. Curious how that compares to some of the other sections you've posted.

Hey Mike, unfortunately I do not have a video of Dirt Surfer. I'm relatively new to the trails at Birdsboro. I only recorded those videos because the folks at Berks Trail Works asked me to promote their enduro race. Having said that, I think this would be a great alternate to Harmony Hill.
