  • Hey everyone!
Broke trail to our camp last weekend with our new Skidoo Expedition Sport 600EFI, the sled ran amazing and we have no complaints, this is our second year with it!
    Thanks for watching!

Awesome machines. I have a 2021 LE with the 600R engine. 20" track and I added the ski skins to my 7.4 Pilot skis. Total of 10". Its awesome in the snow.

Wouldn’t of been too bad of a video if the guy didn’t sound like he was dieing at every bump he hit.

Coming from an 850 etec, gives me a good idea about performance of a 600 efi, think would be good for inexperienced riders vs the 850

Frig that looks like fun!! I too have a remote camp and i cant wait until i get to break the trail with my new Backcountry 600r. Unfortunately i cant go 15 minutes in the bush with out stopping to cut a tree.
It sounds like you need to get that motor " up on the pipe" a little more.. i know it looks deceiving, but it sounds like you were bogging a bit by driving too slow.

Not much room for error I think I'd bring a winch along especially if I did that ride alone, I've been an avid snowmobile for 52 years so I've been in a few tough spots

Hi Andrew, nice video. Read the comments I'm also from northern Ontario. How do you find this sled does in the later months of winter when we start getting closer to the 4' of powder? Cheers!

Works great in lots of powder! Has plenty of power for breaking trail

This sled looks just as capable as my tundra sport breaking a new tight trail. Does that back rest get in the way if you have to double foot on a running board on a side hill?

Yeah seat gets in the way all the time but it’s easy to take off and on

Can’t beat the expedition or skandic 900 ace machines, best backcountry sleds in my opinion

I am new to snowmobiling. I recently brought a new ski doo 600 ACE Renegade Sport EFI. Do you think my sled can handle the trail that you were on? I realize that experience is a positive that I don't have. I would not attempt it unless I was with others that could help if I got stuck.
    Thanks

The ace is a bit heavy and lots of people say the 600 ace is underpowered but I’m sure it breaks trails just fine. With a bit of experience it would do the job!

I have the 2021 model with the narrow body. Is that a radiator I see? It’s a great sled but a rad would make it even better!

i have the 21 model as well and over heats quite easily!! i put ice scratchers on which help but there is no rad and i think it requires a longer snow flap to help with cooling!!

I have a 900 ace Grand touring. I've never seen engine temp over 75 even on ice trails with no ice scratchers. Thats the worst i've seen it. Its usually always 62-65 degrees. It just runs super cool no matter the conditions. I'm pretty sure it has no rad. All tunnel cooling.

Andrew, fun ride! Thanks for taking us along. That's a lot of work. Where is this at? Also, how deep was that snow? The sled seemed to handle it with no problem. Thanks.

Lots of work for sure! Camp is north of North bay, that was around 2-3 ft of snow. Thanks for the comment!!

How do u like it driving in that deep powder?… does it float well enough

Has plenty of power, would upgrade to the 12 inch skis if you are ripping lots of powder. Makes a big difference. Only compliant is I find it very top heavy, hard to have 100% control all the time

Great video. I have Expedition Sport ACE 900. Put 10" ski skins on and narrow up the front ski stance. DS2 skis useless off trail. You could upgrade to 7.4 Expedition skis?

Can not wait for mine now. Just spring checked a 24 600 efi expy. Didn't want the ace, I like the smell of 2 smoke🫡

Same with the smoke smell. Have a tundra 600 ace.. great on mileage just a bit tippy, debating getting a exped 600 efi. Lose some fuel mileage but better stability.

@saskguytoon tundra won't do too good in the Alaskan tundra where I live, too tippy for me. Snowmobile is in the crate at the dealership
