- Gridlife Festival 2024 - Laguna Seca. Track battle ClubTR Friday morning practice session lol. first day back from an 11-month off-period. Took bad line and too fast through T3 and tried to slow it down a little by tapping brake, big no-no. Splitter survived but air dam busted up, left fender/door/rear quarter damaged, slightly bent bumper beam and leaking radiator put me out for the weekend. Still hung out and had fun with friends at the festival and saw good buddy Jed (trackvelor) get P3 in ClubTR! Will try to have car fixed and ready for Gridlife Club Weekend Thunderhill in November.

looks like it, he counter steered but was off throttle and weight to front and front gripped up going the way he pointed.
Worse, I tapped brakes
What kind of tires are you running?? seems like you over heated them tbh
@@biggusdiggus1570 cold practice tires 3 year old rt660 in 225 with about 20-30 heat cycles. Track temp was also around 65 F
From a noobie, you say tapping brakes if you take a bad line too fast is a no-no. What's the correct procedure?
Clench your ass cheeks and ride the line out off-throttle or at low constant throttle. Trail brake if absolutely necessary without upsetting the chassis. The tap breaks traction.
brake in straight line before corner and roll on throttle through apex. I turned in too early here should be a later apex
would have saved the slide too if I stayed on throttle through the turn
