Happy Sunday! We've put links in the description to most of the places and things we featured in this video so it will be easy for you to find more information about them. We definitely want to spend more time in Cheyenne in the future. (We barely missed Cheyenne Frontier Days!!) And we know there are several things we missed. If you have suggestions on what we should do next time we're in the area, please let us know with a comment. Thanks!
A ginormous, framed photo of Wyomings first game warden hangs in the State Archive. One tough looking Swedish fellow cooking over a campfire with his trusted rifle and horses nearby. His name was Albert Nelson, my great-grandfather. ❤️ Thanks for the wonderful tour of Wyomings capital!
Welcome to Big Wonderful Wyoming! I’m into chasing75°! Cheyenne architecture is unique with its blend of sandstone and pink granite. Visit the State Capitol next time you’re through. It’s quite beautiful. Also, Vedauwoo State Park is pretty special too. It’s not big rig friendly as far as I know but worth the side trip. I went there when I was a student at University of Wyoming to hike, climb, and watch Golden Eagles. Once against thanks for a fun video!
Where we were in July..... Houston! Ya, it was hot. Our daughter and family live in Cypress and our grandson's birthday is in July. Finding a place to stay definitely wasn't a problem. 😄
Stayed at the State Park several years ago, and drove up into the Snowy Range and visited an old crew mate in Laramie. Stopped in Cheyenne last summer and did the trolley tour, stayed at the airbase. The base has a lot of original buildings from the 1800's.
I remember seeing big boy coming through my hometown of Palestine and I seen it again in the town I live in now just 30 mins or so from Palestine TX. It's always a must to see the big boy.
I am a Native.... Born and raised here...Thanks for this Video .. y'all are Awesome!!!! 🤗 Great Video!! It is a Great Rememberance of the history of the town!!! 💞🙏👊🫂
Always enjoy your travels and thank you for taking us along with you. We spent several weeks in Wyoming several years ago and totally love our time visiting Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks. We hope to return there soon.
This was great, I really look forward to Sundays! Haven’t been to Wyoming in over a decade and only visited Yellowstone. Seems like it’s sure worth checking out other areas of this beautiful state, Cheyenne looks really nice! Thanks for supporting the museums, always adds a little history and insight to the areas your visiting, and also the info on the train was great too! Loved the campground and RV Trip Wizard looks to be a super cool tool, thanks for sharing that…Looking forward to tagging along on the virtual hike next week.. always a favorite. Happy travels!
Mike and I (Deb) were the couple who spoke with you in the little restaurant in Scott's Bluff NE..We had just come from staying at Curt Gowdy State Park in WY before we met you. It is a unique park with many biking and hiking trails. We stayed 10 days in the Equestrian camping loop. Prairie dogs everywhere! We had such a gorgeous view of the lake and the terrain! We're glad you enjoyed your time in Cheyenne; we also visited the train depot museum and found it to be fascinating! It brought back some memories to see you going through various locations in Cheyenne. Nice town and easy to get around in it. We're looking forward to your next video about Hidden Falls at Curt Gowdy!
Thanks for the comments & we really enjoyed meeting y’all! We are doing Hidden Falls but now that will be next week B/C we filmed a Wingin It with “Switch It Up” that will tomorrows video. They were camping right next to us! Hope you enjoy that as well! Thanks again!
So totally enjoyed this trek to Cheyanne . Have been to Wyoming a couple of times and will definitely agree it is a beautiful and exciting State. Always enjoy your travels and information tidbits. Safe Travels... Grammy Kay
Had always wanted to go to into Cheyenne but never had the time. I lived in Washington, St for almost three years. So going to Texas and back went thru Wyoming but then cut down to Ft. Collins, Co. short cut to Hwy25 south. Awesome drive thru there. Glad your having a great time and am enjoying the video. Love y'all.
Thank you from Nebraska, glad you had a great time and I enjoyed watching some of the places I never went too myself. Shows there s places to see and not just put your foot down and drive drive drive
Bob and I enjoyed your Wyoming video this week. We haven't spent very many nights in the state, and I've been curious about the state parks. Loved your highlights of your visits to the museums in Cheyenne. Looking forward to the next video!
Fun seeing you in our stomping grounds. We love Cheyenne. Winter is brutal though! And crazy windy 🌬. Keeps this city smaller population 😂 (which we love). Saw the big boy in action sept 2021 . It did a historic run to east coast. Never saw so many photographers!!!
Wyoming is one of our favorite states but we have never had much of a chance to spend time in Cheyenne. Seeing all of the Big Boys is a goal of mine. Have seen 4012 in Scranton and the hubs has seen 4004 and one other. Will chase 4014 one day. Safe travels.
We loved Curt Gowdy SP! Unfortunately we were there in the last week of May which apparently is still snow season there! We got snowed on twice which was unexpected so we didn't do as much exploring as we wanted to either. We will definitely be back to see more of this area! @BigDogRV
If you go to Cody, be sure to visit the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. It is 4 museums, and the ticket is good for 2 days. The gun collection and Western art were unbelievable.
Great Video, I opened up a separate tab for google maps so that could look at the museums and restaurants that you visited. Google maps goes into much more detail (with pictures) of the places that you visited. Your videos are fantastic, but they are short and you hit the highlights (understandable due to the fact that you don't want your viewers to have to sit through a 1 or 2 hour tour). What happened to your 10 - 15-minute (and you get what you get) videos. Those are my favorites of your videos!
Really enjoy your videos, so much information. Long time since I was in Cheyenne but it was a pretty easy city to move around. Stayed at the park years ago, remember the Happy Jack Road! Safe travels.
Some great museums to keep in mind are the Buffalo Bill in Cody, the Smithsonian of the west! It’s incredible and a military vehicle museum in Dubois. Put them on your list
How long are you in WY? We have been here since June and will be until October! We LOVE this state!!! Looks like you're enjoying it too! If you like boondocking, there are so many beautiful spots!
Sorry about your experience at the taproom. That’s really unfortunate. Next time y’all come through if you like Italian try Napoli’s restaurant. And if so inclined the Albany is really good as well. The botanic gardens is nice as well. I hope you had an overall positive experience here!
We absolutely had a great time, just that one deal at the taproom but we just moved on. Just a little water on a ducks back, shake it off and move on! 😂
We just purchased our new Grand Design 310GK-R yesterday. We will be heading towards Cheyenne next spring. Would like your opinion on whether you think a third party inspection is necessary on a new RV.
Buying a new one you are under full warranty so I personally wouldn’t pay to get it inspected. Just use it a bunch and get the work done under warranty. No matter what you do you will still have to get it fixed. Buying used is a different story because there is no warranty. Just my opinion but we have bought many new RV’s and never got them inspected and never had a problem.
i live here and i enjoy my right to have a straight piped yukon lmao see yall out there and to anyone visiting, dont drive like a 4yr old with power wheels
The Basque sheep herders could be considered the first Boondockers. They would move from one site to another and lived in there wagons year round. Safe travels and roads Brian and Cindy, "xtreambydesign with passion"

Glad you had a great time. We went to Cheyenne a year ago this past July. We had a great time 🙂

You were in our home town! You went right past the restaurant that Matt was a chef at for 14 years. Wish we had been there when you were.
Cool, maybe we will see ya next time! 😊
