The video missed the most important point - how does it compare to Aputure MC RGBWW. Obviously it's a carbon copy of it, so that's probably the most imporotant part.
@@FenchelJanisch2 Wow? This is probably the most popular small RGB light in the past 2 years. Even though I had a tons of SmallRig gear, this one is a total carbon copy/ripoff of the Aputure one. From the silicone case to the software, to the magnetic elements. 1 to 1.
I just purchased this multiple of this light, but I couldn’t figure out how to control them simultaneously on their SmallGoGo app…. The controls are all separate…….
Hey, nice video! I've been wanting to ask you for a long time. What is better to take for a reportage video (weddings and various events): Sony a6400, a7 mark 2, canon 90D or something else? The budget is $1,700. Thank you in advance for the answer!
Not true in our experience. The first generation of compact lights with internal battery were terrible but these times are long over. We have another compact light with a low CRI but the battery lasts for 4 hours and we have used it for over 3 years. Considering the small size these types of lights have gotten incredibly good.
I was just looking for a test of the RM75 the other day. Thanks for showing all the features in detail.
Finally a compact L.E.D. with a diffusion attachment that holds. I always have the same issue of diffusers falling off during a shoot.
Indeed. We also have a few other small LEDs where the diffusion attachment constantly falls off.
Got mine yesterday and the one thing that really stands out for me is the real time communication between the app and the light.
Totally!
Thank you for such a good and precise explanation . I needed.
A very interesting and shapely video light. Thanks for the review.
This is a solid solution.
Great video! Seems like a great little light!

Nice one. Im glad to see you reviewing more lights especially the cheap ones :-)
Glad you enjoyed it.
Lisbon has a perfect light already :D
Great review ! Can you pls tell me where to get the hot shoe mount you use to attach the light 😅
I got a few other tiny lights but most of them have a delay so this is reason enough to use this one.
Yes, delays can be an issue with some other lights.

We've never tested the Aputure one...

didn't even know smallrig made lights and i dont even think i need one but its cool to copy the colors and output them.
Same here :-)
do you think I could shoot a nice food-promotion-video for my restaurant as use it as my only light (and a bit daylight)?
Good review. The device looks like it will shine a spectrum of light, all the way from bright white FFFF to ? how dark is the darkest?

i thought only expensive lights could do that but seems like technology is catching up!!!

At which brightness was the light when you recorded it laying next to the phone? Looks pretty bright
Actually the light's brightness was just at 1%. The phone's screen brightness on the other hand was at the maximum.
How are dark colors being displayed in the color picker??
They will still be output as colors as long as it's not a pitch black color tone with no saturation.
OK, just one Question : how can you change between modes without the App? I wouldn't want to rely on the App only? is that possible by any chance?
You can control everything with the "set" wheel. You can switch between modes and effects and also change the color values or color temperature.
do you guys know if that light copy mode actually works with all types of light sources?
Worked with all types of changing lights in our tests.
I can't even get the app to send me a verification code...
The thing with all these lights is that the life span is very short. All of them are terribly bad.
