GREAT warmup. I will try it but when he's swinging hard I like how he takes the driver all the way back but then takes a half a swing when ready to hit the ball. Free yourself up

Greetings from America. I tried the stretches and the speed tip of flipping club around to increase speed. Turned out awesome. Crushed my drives!!

I have been doing this dynamic warm up before my last 3 rounds and it has helped tremendously. My hips are looser and I come into the ball more solidly.🐈

I've been been coming up with dynamic stretching routines for my son and his teammates for baseball and football for over a decade. I have never used it for myself at the golf course.
Can't wait to make this warmup a must do starting tomorrow.
Thank you from Texas for this fantastic video!

Great content! Differentiating between "warm up" and "stretching" is brilliant. Used this exact warm up in both range sessions and on the course and noticed an immediate difference. Not so much in distance gained rather how I was at max ball speed immediately instead of feeling like the first few holes/shots were a "warm up" and I was ready to play immediately.

Well done Neil after that warm-up routine with James you could certainly hear that you were swinging faster.
    Can I throw in a couple of suggestions as well, please;
    1. Lift your lead heel in the backswing and slam it down in the downswing, it's old but it works. This will allow your hips to rotate more in the backswing, which will allow your shoulders to rotate more giving you more clubhead speed.
    2. This is an exercise routine to start your day with (every day). Check out the 5 Tibetans (there are plenty of YT videos that show you how to do them). They are set of dynamic stretches that exercise, stretch and strengthen your whole body, they also increase your mobility and flexibility. The 5 Tibetans are thought to date back around 2,500 years (so they are well validated)!
They will take you about 10 minutes to perform.
I have been doing them for 10 years now and at 67 I am more flexible than I have ever been and have a far greater range of motion than most people 40 years younger than me.

Definitely going to try this! Some actual swing speed measurements would have been nice for the video. Maybe you need one of those mobile ball trackers like the one Rick Shiels uses...

Great video guys but it does make me laugh sometimes. It's such a natural move, imagine you're throwing a kettle bell to a target. You'd turn and naturally come up which takes the weight off and then go to ground (again, happens naturally due to our evolution of throwing stuff) and then send it to the target. It's all natural, the further you want to throw it the more you can come up and down and up. Don't overthink it...

Probably about 10 or 15 yards... Am about to do the final part of the series so will test out the gain on a launch monitor then!

      @@GolfMonthly - Nice!
I tried this kind of warm up out, pulled a muscle weeks ago and decided never to skip warm ups again!
Did a dynamic warmup like this plus some other stuff. (rotator cuff, T spine dynamic stretches, flamingo drill etc). My results were incredible, because of my pulled muscle I just chipped (felt like) a drive out on the first tee. It was 20-30 yards longer than my usual drive there.
I was so surprised that I decided to check if I could find some research to see if this was normal. All the studies I found was 1-5 mph increase in ballspeed, and up to 40% better shot quality with the driver..this was basically what i saw. My average was probably around 15-20 yards longer than normal, some of that was because of more consistent contact but definitely gained some speed as well.
The only negative was that I was hitting my short irons and wedges to far :p
I'm a 6 hcp and wedges are the best part of my game. I'll retest my yardages after a warm up and I think it should be okey :p
It was a real eye opener, so guys - do your warm up :D
