I was Mumbai upto 1976. After I settled in Chennai, Nanganallur. When I was Mumbai, I lived in Malad West, Western Railway. My work place at Churchgate. From Malad to Churchgate I used go by Fast train. While returning I travelled upto Andheri Fast local then Malad slow local.
These quota beggars dont understand the struggle we do to eke aliving outside the state.

@@revathisankar490 Nice place. Full of Tambrams. But bus connectivity poor. Dravidian Government is not plying a single red bus to Nanganallur or Kilkattalai via Nanganallur. Even though public can afford. May be due to reasons.
Mumbai Local trains are indeed lifeline for Mumbai. Compared to Mumbai our Chennai locals are less crowded. Hi Ajay: Very nice video of travels in Mumbai Local Trains. Please do a video on the Dhobhi Ghats in Mumbai too. It will be something unique. I have traveled quite a few times in Mumbai Locals as my sister used to live in Kalyan and I would visit her from time to time from Delhi. As you had mentioned, once you get in the train and stand near the entrance, you will be automatically swept away in to the platform at the next station.
I lived in Andheri Mumbai till 1993 and used mumbai locals from 1975 to 1993. Yet I could not recognize the Andheri station. Was in Mumbai on vacation till beginning of November 2022. Next time I am in Mumbai, I will make it a point to walk into the station and see and experience it for myself.

Thalivan bag ah front la potta ..thala Mumbai local la irukaru nu artham..Mumbai local motor men don't wear uniform..because if some one died or train late..they will beat the motormen..and train guard..so drivers always drive train not in uniform..also inorder to save time..the driver's need to remove the body if someone died on tracks and inform rpf..just to save time..some drivers mostly don't stop and just inform the rpf and drive thru..unlike our Chennai local..they were under high pressure..to reach the destination on time..
