Just started and I highly recommend shopping and doing work yourself. I had a faulty master window switch was quoted $330 for parts and labor, found a part on eBay for $27 and replaced it myself.
Another very underrated
I think its physically impossible to kill a Yaris. They are just tanks.
I’d advise against buying an older Tucson since both models you showed don’t have proper immobilizer antitheft devices installed from the factory (turn key ignitions).
I had a 2009 Nissan Altima. It ran great from 2015 - 2023 until...It died due to transmission issues. I was fortunate that it lasted as long as it did.
They all died due to transmission failure darn CVT transmissions
How many miles did it have?

TURO is warning against old vehicles that give trouble they WILL be removing them from the platform people so be care ful with these recommendations
“That give trouble” soooo take care of your vehicles 🤷♀️
@missmaryjanegreen sigh stop being disingenuous. Which is more likely to constantly to give trouble and offer the guest less satisfaction a newer vehicle or a older one? Plus Turo REMOVES your vehicle if the mileage approaches 100,000 miles. So stop being dumb and use common sense. People like you wont be in business for long and wonder why u aint getting any business
@@andremckenzie7338 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 sure Jan
@@andremckenzie7338 I am doing great & have no problem with reviews or rental utilization but thanks for calling me dumb. I love pissing off stupid men on the internet 😂
was there something you read online somewhere?
I definitely agree with Nissan, new and used. I’d never buy one again.
You just saved my life girl 😂
Please stop talking about Mercedes. It is my secret sauce and I don’t need the competition on Turo.
you never mention Honda. Honda Civic, Accord, Fit, are in many cases equal to, or surpass Toyota in price and reliability.
3 Hondas on my fleet, no issues
TBF, you have to be picky about the model years and generations to avoid the risk of transmission problems. That said, it seems to me like Honda strikes a good balance between reliability and driving experience. If you offer to buy me any car, but it has to be FWD (and I have to drive it, so flipping for cash isn't an option), then I'm almost certainly picking a Honda.
I think she’s had some bad experiences with Honda
Thanks for your content.
Do NOT buy a 2016 Hyundai Tucson. It was not covered by the class action and they will most likely not replace your engine (even with the kdms update). Mine had outrageous oil consumption starting at 125k mi and then catastrophic failure at 142k. Dealership wanted 14k to replace. Will never do business with Hyundai/Kia again.
Sister in law has a 2017 and they made her replace catalytic converter 4x (so probably about 8k in costs) before she had a meltdown on them and got an engine replacement.
Don't do it. Look elsewhere.
Hyundai went on my do not buy list too when they stopped honoring warranties.
Mercedes GLK are good we have 3 of them
My Yaris had terrible seats (uncomfortable) and the water pump needed replacement at 40K miles.
Owned an Altima and currently driving a Frontier. Zero problems after 150k+ for both.
Thanks for the vid! With the Nissan’s , is it all Nissan’s you would avoid, or all Nissan’s with a cvt?
IMO, Nissans made after ~2003...maybe except the 2000-2006 Sentra. The Altima, Pathfinder, Maxima, Frontier, Xterra (from 2005), Armada, and of course, the Titan.
Love the newer Rogue and Pathfinder
Junk...just wait till you need a new CVT transmission...😂
are all years of ford fiesta subject to transmission problems?
Whats your opinion on Mazda cars? Mazda 2 or Mazda 3 ever work out for you?
Haven’t had one yet, but I’m considering it
😐 Cheap is not always the best way out....nobody wants a Yaris to rent you have to ask yourself would I rent it for a vacation. I certainly wouldnt
Her business model is NOT vacationers. Know your audience & buy for it.
@missmaryjanegreen it was an example stop acting dumb. If you are using Turo you dont normally know what they are using the point and thats beside the point, point is nobody is really gonna rent a Yaris. Marketing is important and you have to put yourself in the guest's position and try to think like them or do research on what they would rather rent.
@@andremckenzie7338 ummmmm lots of people rent Aubrey’s Yari fleet. Keep making a fool of yourself. I know men get upset when women are smarter than they are. Keep on little man.
I 100% agree that marketing and demographics is key. If you’re not in a tourist spot (a basic city), folks are renting because your car broke down, you don’t have a friend to take you places, basically an emergency, you want to get the cheapest thing available. Nothing big as it’s harder to park and has a lower mpg. Well, you found it. It’s small, it’s the youngest and cheapest. You don’t know what a “Yaris” is but you don’t care. That’s her market: Folks that need a car asap and they don’t know anything about car models. With this and extremely low maintenance, this is why she recommends it…plus she’s had high success with it. Her numbers prove folks will rent a Yaris.
The first line turned me off. The only reason I listened to this video was because I wanted information on how to get a good car for thousand dollars that I don’t already know I don’t consider it in possible
anyone put an alfa romeo on turo the suv one specifically
I would avoid that.
These are basically stelantis products.
And their quality is sub par.
Plus parts are quite expensive given it’s not a high volume seller.
Your vehicle can’t be more than 12 years old and Your vehicle must have less than 130,000 miles. That's a rule!
Get a ford 2001 f250 7.3 diesel super duty
Yea and then turo take that old shit off its platform bcuz guest complaining.....no
Tell me you're not a Toyota fan girl with without actually telling me you're a Toyota fan girl
untie the balloonknot
Its obvious you dont know anything about cars as you lost me at Buying a used Hyundai Tucson...😂
Then I stuck around for laughs suddenly another reliable she states is a 10 year old C300 Mercedes....😂 Yeah just wait till you have repair anything on it you spend more then 10k when your done....😂
Your a model!,
What's the Free Shit Army up to these days?
