Thank you as always. Some questions and comments of course... I assume that the app is required to set the auto or dynamic attenuation-gain adjustment (can't switch on the receiver) - but then you can save that setting on the receiver away from the app? Or does that feature only work when recording using the ME app? I'm also assuming that the recording setting is not specifically for the internal mic - that the setting would also apply to the lav-mic you used? As I'm thinking about this setup, I'd be interested in adding 'depth' to the audio by using both receiver and transmitter mics, mixed together such that the mic level drops slightly as I move away from the receiver mic, but not lose the mic level completely. Many times the wireless mic solution sounds 'flat' and doesn't give that sense of depth/distance. (Adam Savage has a good demo of his audio recording and why he only uses camera-fixed microphones.) I've probably listened to more Wireless Go series content than I've recorded, but oftentimes creators aren't managing their gain and you'll hear very hot levels and clipping - and even those who do manage their levels, I ofen hear a few clips. The auto-level feature will be a game changer for some of my favorite 'on-the-go' creators.

No problem. I’ve definitely been reaching for the ME over the GO II more recently, it’s great for just getting up and running with no hassle, and the audio sounds so good.

I would have liked it better if Rode had simply further developed the Rode Wireless Go II. It's nice that there's a microphone in the receiver and that there's an automatic gain assistant. But you could have done all that in a Rode Wireless Go III. I would also be happy if Rode had preferred to expand the Rode Wireless Go II. Gladly with a gain assistant. But maybe also with a screw-on micro connector and a charging case. What would also be exciting would be a third or fourth recipient. I thought Rode wouldn't let Dji be superior to Rode. Rode is now times the provider for audio. Rode has always shown that they make things for creators. I was hoping that they would now come up with something that would be well above Dji. I hope that the Rode Wireless ME is just a beginner's mic and that a Rode Wireless Go III will come along, which can do much more and push Dji Mic off the throne. 😅 I like Rode very much, but if I had to get a microphone now, it might be the Dji. Hi I’ve been reading some comments that say the volume reduces by almost half when connected to the camera by usb-c. Have you had any issues with this?
