Catherine if you love this color you could buy beetlekill blue stained pine flooring. I just saw a woman's tiny house who used this on her walls in the bathroom of her tiny house. If you live in the States you can get it there, just check online where to get it.
I cannot find the follow up with the final piece completed. Can you post the link to that? I have a coffee and breakfast nook oak tables already sanded and ready for something. I want to try this technique but want to see what it looks like with the bottom painted and this on top. Thanks!
Will you list paint color and I know you used white wax but what was the final step? I suppose I coulda replay but a list would be great to have. I truly love your video; so clear and perfect instructions. I subscribed also. Thank you! Great job!
My cabinet preference would be an enamel. That’s what I use on the the doors of my home. Wise Owl One Hour Enamel is amazing with proper prep. Check the colors out in my website
Thanks for this! Is there a way to know when you’ve wire brushed enough and the grain is open? I’m afraid I will do either too much or too little. Love the style!!
could you pls type the name of first paint second paint third paint cuz I need to know the details of paint you use and compare to what that equal to in our country ......???
I’m wanting to do this on a dinning table. My understanding is that wax is not a good top coat for a dinning table due to heat being applied at times. I was told you can’t put a polycyclic over wax ???
@@mammacass5311 right- you cant apply anything over wax. You could get a similar look of you put a colored stain or dye in the opened grain and then sealed with Poly. There are all differences colors and brands of stains and dye
Why not scrape for better and more effective limeing, or any finish for that matter. I just don’t understand why the use of sanding is so prevalent given it’s respiratory dangers, the expense, the noise, and inferior results.
Don't do this. The stain needs to be completely dry before waxing or the two blend as happened here. Hard to fix with a wax. (Probably why there's no part 2 video 🤦♀️). Usually you would do a light coat of water based poly after the stain and before the white wash or wax to help separate the two colours (high and low grain). Main thing is LET THE PAINT DRY FIRST!
I would have loved to watch the video to the end... buy WAY WAY too long!! if You want to get peoples attention give them what they are looking for. Information and a quick explanation! Then,,,Then Im interested and listening!
I hear that. Some of the videos are from my Facebook lives and are not edited. You can tell by the length in them and just not watch those it fast forward.
That blue is gorgeous before the white. Looking for this for my floors-thank you!

I’m loving this easy technique!
Very nice technique and tutorial. Easy steps with awesome results.
Is it necessary to put sealer over the wax?
I would love to see the finished project
Me too. I can’t find it on her page. :(
I can't find the rest of this project video.
Hi; could you do this application over oak laminate? Do you top coat after the wax?
Beautiful result!
Thanks!
Could you ceruse the bottom too?
Can you stain it, then use a chalk paint to ceruse it then seal it with a polyurethane to protect a table top??

Stain was Bohemian Blue
Is diy wax water based????? Or dolvant based????? I like it. Thank you.
water based. it has no solvents!
How do you buff it
Need darker blue can you leave stain on longer
yes- but I was getting a green hue so I removed it.
What was the purpose of using the blue paint first? I thought it would have been white.
You can stain the wood so that would be the color under the ceruse wax technique.
If I'm doing my kitchen cabinets should I use a enamel paint for the undercoat?
I’m using chalk paint!

I would take a little more of the liming wax off , to see more of the blue but I do like the technique .
What about one's that aren't oak, I want to get this look.have any ideas to creat this lines
You have to really open the grain to get the wax in there. Depends on the wood type.
Beautiful
Really beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Would like to see finished product but cannot locate.
Do you urathane for final coat if use on cabinet?
Nope. Wax is the sealer and it holds up well
Very pretty!
Thank you! 😊

It’s a chalk based paint. I used DIY Paint Bohemian Blue and white wax.
Love this! Will you seal this with anything besides the wax?
No- the wax is the sealer. I do two coats and use a car buffer to get it nice and soft. Once it cures, it’s perfectly protected
